I’m The Protagonist?! 4

Feng Shi groaned as she held her head feeling it ache a little before opening her heavy eyelids.

The first thing she had noticed where white, too white.

She immediately sat up and saw that she was once again in the hospital making her groan in irritation. However, this one truly does deserve to be the top hospital in the city.

The room she was in was more like a hotel suite than a hospital room, to begin with. It has a giant TV directly in front of her bed along with couches. On her right was a floor-to-ceiling glass window and on her left was a kitchen and a bathroom.

Aside from the scent of sanitizer, she would never have guessed that this was a hospital. However, the design was not what bothers her. It was the mere thought of being in a hospital itself. It had meant being restricted due to her last self and her feeling. She just can't get herself comfortable with being here.

If she gets the role of being a doctor or a nurse in the future, she can't help but worry. But, that is still a very far away future. She still has a lifetime to waste before worrying about that.

She hates hospitals, and the only reason she had endured then was because Qin Si had needed a check-up. And even then, only when he had truly needed to.

"Master, are you feeling alright now?" Xiao Wang asked when he had noticed that she was finally awake.

The adorable wolf pup immediately buried himself in her arms nuzzling her with his fluffy cuddly face.

"Xiao Wang, what on earth happened to me this time?" She asked while brushing him with her fingers. The soft texture calmed her down slightly as the last thing she remembered was the head-splitting pain.

"I should be asking master that, why on earth did you try to forcefully remove the seal! That was far too reckless and dangerous!" Xiao Wang scolded.

God knows how afraid the little wolf was when he felt the seals being forcefully broken through. It could have killed his master in the backlash of it all!

Fortunately, he had noticed and immediately reached his master allowing him to stop her movement and protect her from the backlash.

"I did? And I can do that?" Feng Shi asked astonished.

If she can force the seal open, maybe she doesn't have to wait to properly obtain them and just strengthen herself until she can do just force them.

However, before she can even entertain the idea, Xiao Wang immediately bursts her bubble.

"Yes, but it is not advisable to forcefully break the seal. The backlash is far too powerful and it could and would fade your soul. If you did not know that then you had unconsciously done so which is even more dangerous as the force you used is not controlled." He gravely warned her making Feng Shi tsk in disappointment.

"Do you remember what the last thing you did that might have triggered your energy to forcefully try and break the seal?" Xiao Wang asked them to know what to avoid and not repeat this incident.

Feng Shi furrowed her brows as she thought hard. Before her head felt like it was smashed like a watermelon she was just walking, wondering.

"That's right. I have felt weird about my strange emotions then... Then my head started to hurt... No, I think it started when I tried to think hard as to why I felt that way. That must have been what triggered it" She thought out loud.

"Then master must avoid trying to figure things out that hard and just focus on your mission. Master must remember that curiosity killed the cat. Only in your case, it would be literal." Xiao Wang replied and she agrees.

It's not like she's in a rush...right?

"I know. Now time to get out of this place" Since she didn't bring anything with her she just stood up and left towards the front desk with Xiao Wang as her guide.

She passed a lot of patients along the way making the times that She and Qin Si used to visit such similar halls. Only this time, she didn't have him by her side anymore.

"Hello, miss Feng. How may I help you?" The nurse asked amiably.

"I want to check out. I'm already feeling alright" Was her reply but the nurse looked troubled somehow.

"Is something wrong?" She asked upon noticing the strangeness in her reaction.

"I'm sorry Miss Feng but we have been instructed that you cannot check out without your guardian's permission" The nurse apologized making Feng Shi curse inside her mind.

It had slipped her mind that she is still considered a minor in this world.

"Well, I a, clearly okay now. I just got dizzy. Can't you do anything about it? It's not like I'm in a critical condition" Feng Shi asked as she doubt her father even had the time to come and help her check out.

One person did flash in her mind.

She looked through her contacts for that familiar name before sighing in relief after finding it. Looks like she does have a guardian figure after all.

The phone did not even ring twice before it was picked up.

"Shi'er, your awake. Good, that's good. What did the doctor say? Are you alright now?" Was the worried voice that immediately came through from the phone.

"Sorry for worrying you, uncle Lan. I'm feeling fine now. That's why I called. I need your help checking me out as apparently I can't do so without a guardian" She replied feeling sorry for scaring the old man.

"Oh, I'm sorry Shi'er. I would love to help you with that but you see... I am currently in the countryside. You see, my cousin had an accident. Why don't you try calling your father?"

"Uncle Lan I'm sorry about your cousin and I hope that he gets better but... Are you kidding uncle? You know that my father would have better things to do than to do something as simple as checking me out" She replied with a bitter, ridiculing tone which made the Butler Lan sigh on the other end.

"Shi'er you know that your father still cares about you."

" So much so that he left me to rot in hell? Anyway, I'll try to think of something. Take care Uncle Lan, see you when you get back" Before he could reply she already hanged the phone.

After putting her phone down she frowned heavily. She may have said that she will think of something but honestly, she got nothing!

She tried to find other ways before debating which is worse, actually trying to call the reason why she was hospitalized in the first place or staying longer in this ghost house.

"Tsk" she hissed before harshly dialing a number.

"Hello, this is Lexi speaking. The assistant of President Feng, how may I help you?" A woman's voice replied making Feng Shi's face darken. Of course, his daughter can't be put directly on the line too.

"Yes, I'm Feng Shi. Can you put my father on the phone? I need to ask him something"

"I'm sorry miss Feng but your Father is currently in a meeting with someone. I will inform President Feng that you have called when he is free"

"Of course, he is" She sarcastically thought.

"I don't care. There is no way I'm staying longer in this place. Tell him to help me check out of this hospital already"

"I can't just barge in the ro--- Pre-president Feng!" The woman squeezed not finishing her sentence.

"Have I not told you to directly put her calls through?! Get out of my sight this instant"

"President Feng no no, please! Pre-president I just- just thought that you were busy that all."

"Security! Get this useless fool out of my sight!"

"No! No, please sir give me another chance"

Feng Shi heard the woman's shrill begging before the call was cut off.

Feng Shi stared at her phone in confusion. Wasn't it said in the plot that her father had stopped caring about her at this point? She double-checked the host's memory to see if she was just imagining things but nope! She is not hallucinating at all.

Before her mind could comprehend the deviation from reality and expectation her phone rang again.

"You were looking for me? What did the doctor say? Did they manage to cure you already?" The coldness of the voice from the other side made her accept that nope, she did not transmigrate in her sleep.

"First, yes I needed your help checking out of the hospital. Second, I don't know I never met the doctor that checked on me. And lastly, I'm fine it was just a terrible headache" She replied her voice with any emotion now.

The strange feeling she had felt before didn't surge forth anymore.

"It is better to be more careful. I'll come over now and if your doctor says that you can leave then I'll sign the form but if not then you will have to stay there longer"

"Fine" She huffed before hanging up.

She excused herself from the nurse before walking back to her room.
