I’m The Protagonist?! 3

Cheng Xiu gently put Feng Shi in her bed and tucked her in carefully before kissing her forehead. "Sweet dreams, princess"

After saying that, he immediately stepped back carefully not to make a noise to prevent waking her up as he made his way out of the door.

The moment the door closes, Feng Shi who was supposed to be asleep opened her eyes and sat up.

Absentmindedly, her hand went to her forehead, feeling warmth from that place. Whenever she was too tired, Qin Si have always tucked her in and kisses her forehead before saying goodnight. For a moment there, as she had her eyes closed, the image of Qin Si appeared in her mind instead of Cheng Xiu.

"Qin Si" she called out softly with a complicated expression.

She have never thought things through but now that she have arrived to a whole new world, everything seems so real now.

Qin Si is gone but Cheng Xiu is here. She loves Qin Si, she truly does love him there is no doubt there but does she love 'him' is what confused her. To Cheng Xiu, she is Feng Shi that have been with him throughout their high school years but to her, he is the reincarnation of her lover.

She doesn't know how to feel about him now. They have the same soul yes but are they the same person, the answer is as clear as a crystal which is a cold hard no.

There is also the fact that Cheng Xiu is in love with the previous Feng Shi and not the current her.

She doesn't know how to proceed with their relationship anymore making her sigh.

To her then, she would love him no matter what but can she really love the 'him' now?

Frustrated with her cycling thoughts, she decided to simply go and get some fresh air.

Thanks to the host's memories, navigating this Vila was no problem.

She ignored the servant's that doesn't even bother with her and continued on her path.

Over time, the villa's people have been slowly changed into those loyal to that witch so the host have never considered this place her home. To her it was just another place to reside on. Just like the current her now, to the others, this world is their home, their life but she is just a stranger traveling through.

The gentle breeze kissed her porcelain skin which soothed her raging conflicted emotions somehow.

She breathed in and closed her eyes bathing in the sunlight.

The garden was beautiful. Flowers where in full bloom and the towering trees where in their lucius green color.

The blue sky was clear making it an ideal day for her to actually unwind and let her thoughts wondered far, though, not to far as she did come here to clear her thoughts

She aimlessly walked down the path letting her feet guide her to wherever.

Unknowingly, she had somehow ended up in the far corner of the garden.

She remembers this place from the host's memories. This place used to be her happy place, her mother's garden.

Somehow, melancholy started to consume her from the previous host. This was the place she was happiest most.

Laughter of childish abandons seems to penetrate her making her look around only to realize that it was an illusion, it was a memory of a past that have long been gone.

A silhouette caught her attention as she was looking around for the source of that sound.

There, looking at her mother's favorite tree on the bench was a middle aged man. He looked cold and uncaring as well as stern but Feng Shi can clearly see the sadness within those dark pools for eyes.

The man sighed tired and worn out and for a moment, Feng Shi felt some pity for this man. But only for a moment as she remembers the fate of his daughter because of his neglect.

Though he can't be entirely blame as the host also have some responsibilities on what had happened between them.

Silently, Feng Shi also sat beside the man.

Her current father, Feng Bao.

Feng Bao looked at her in disbelief as Feng Shi had always turned another way whenever they met, needless to say getting close to him.

He could only stare in a slight daze at his estranged daughter but Feng Shi did not pay him any mind.

"I heard that you took over taking care of this place" Feng Bao asked, more like stated trying to have a conversation with her.

"Someone had to honor mother's memories" She replied, her face hardening slightly.

The feeling that emerged in her heart at that moment, the indignation and anger was not the host's. She knew, that the emotion arose from deep within her soul, as if responding to a memory that her mind have forgotten and yet her heart continues to remember.

Feng Bao looked pained for a second before it was once again hidden. Just like a moment ago, stifling silence surrounded the two again.

Unable to hold back, Feng Bao sighed before trying to asked something but closing his mouth once again. This repeated for a while and Feng Shi just choose to ignore him.

She focused back to the strange and yet overwhelming pain that had overcame her just a while ago.

Just what was her life before she started doing this missions?

"How have you been?" Feng Bao finally managed to ask snapping Feng Shi back.

She didn't answer but as Feng Bao was wondering if he was getting a reply she let out a cold sardonic laugh.

"Careful there, father. You almost sounds like you actually cared" She sarcastically replied.

This time, Feng Bao's face darkened considerably.

"Is that how your suppose to talk to your father?!" Feng Bao angrily asked glaring at her.

Blankly, Feng Shi looked at him as she stood up. "No father would ever leave their child to the hands of an abuser. No father would ever turn their children's home into nothing more than a prison. You dare to call yourself my father but let me ask you this, when have you ever acted as my father? When was the last time you cared?"

After throwing those questions coldly, Feng Shi span around and walked off.

She didn't know what came over her, she doesn't know what the hell is wrong with her?

When she was finally away from others, she leaned on the wall and closed her eyes.

Only then did she noticed something in her face.

"Huh?" She wondered as she reached up and felt the trail of water from her eyes.

"Tears?" Why is she crying? Why is she hurting?

"Your nothing but a disgrace!"

"Why were you even born?"

"I hate you!"

"He's dead because of you!"

"Just go die!"

"You're nothing but a mistake!"

"Ahh!!!" Feng Shi screamed painfully clutching her head. But what hurts more was her heart, it was like a thousand knives where stabbing it countless times.

"Master!" "Feng Shi!" Was the last thing she heard as she collapsed on the cold hard floor.
