CHAPTER 4.

QUINN'S POV:

Acceptance was one thing. Denial was another. I was currently stuck between the two. I had been so sad when we moved. I broke up with Aiden my boyfriend because we both knew the relationship won't last with us apart.

It was hard to move on but I managed to do so. And here I was about to be married off to some random guy.

When my father had told me he had signed a contract that involved me I was curious. Then I was told I was getting married to strengthen the family business. At first I was too shocked to speak, he thought I was okay with it.

My mother on the other hand was strongly against it. She wanted me to marry for love. Even though she knew the costs she was aware it had to happen. I didn't want to get married. Not yet at least and not to someone I don't know.

I had threatened to run away and was rewarded with a body guard instead.

This was all so ridiculous.

Rissa stormed into my room with Nico, my body guard behind her.

"Miss? You can't be here." He said but Rissa ignored him and pulled me into a hug.

After we pulled away, she glared at Nico. "Who the hell are you?" She questioned.

"Ris? It's fine. He's just my body guard." I said and she gave me a look.

"Since when do you have a body guard? what are you, the Queen of England?" I rolled my eyes as I turned to Nico.

"She's my friend Nico. You can leave now." I assured. He gave a stiff nod before leaving my room and closing the door behind him.

"Your mum told me everything. What's going on?" She asked.

"I'm getting married Ris." I explained.

"I already know that. Why? Does Aiden even know?" She asked and I shook my head.

"We broke up."

She pulled me into her arms in a comforting embrace. "I'm so sorry Quinn. I didn't know." She murmured. "I didn't either. I have to do this though. It'll really help the family business and I already plan on filing for a divorce after six months in." I said and she smirked.

"Whoever this guy is, he'd better watch out." I smiled at that. She was right. I was bringing a full ass storm with me.

"There's going to be an engagement dinner party tomorrow. You're officially invited. I need someone to hold me back from committing a crime." I said and she snickered.

"I've got your back always girl. Now let's get dressed. You need a distraction." She said going to my closet and throwing the doors open.

"Wow. There's a lot more clothes in here than I remember." She teased and I laughed.

"Mum had gone shopping." I said.

She pulled out a body con dress and I smirked.

"That's the one." I said taking it from her. She pulled out a similar dress but red in color.

We both got dressed and finished our hair and makeup. I smiled at our reflection in the full length mirror.

"We look totally amazing." Rissa breathed.

We did. The black body con dress stopped mid thigh and had an open back with long sleeves. I wore Six inch strap heels and my hair was pulled back in a low ponytail with a few strands framing my face. Rissa, dressed in a short red dress with a slit on both sides and a sweetheart neckline. Her dark hair was down in waves like Dark sin.

She wore heels similar to mine and grabbed her clutch while I grabbed my bag.

"How are we going to get rid of Nico?" She whispered knowing he was just out the door.

I smirked before going to the door and opening it slightly.

"Ms Andrews? Is everything okay?" He asked.

"Um, I'm kinda having a girl situation and I don't have the necessary items to help me right now. Do you mind running down to the nearest Walmart to grab me some stuff?" I asked in the most distressed voice I could muster.

"I'm sure you have items to suffice for the moment." He said. Rissa nudged me and pointed to the floor.

"Nico... I'M LITERALLY BLEEDING ALL OVER MY FLOOR!!" I shrieked and he panicked.

"What? I'm coming in."

My eyes widen and I shut the door. "No! you can't come in here. Just go get what I need please." I said. "I need to make sure you're alright." He insisted.

"I'm here with her Nico. she's okay. just go get the stuff please." Rissa chipped in.

"Can't you go get it?" Nico asked and I frowned. This dude was relentless.

"Nico. What do you think your boss would say if he finds out his wife bled to death?" I asked and he stuttered.

"I'm certain it won't kill you." He argued and I gasped. What? He's got guts to say that.

"How would you know?! Try bleeding out of your vagina! Oh wait... you don't HAVE ONE!!" I yelled.

"Okay. I'll be right back." He muttered before walking away from my door. I watched from the security camera in my room to make sure he had already left the house.

"Come on. We better scram before he gets back." Rissa said grabbing my car keys. We took the backdoor and left.

"I kinda feel bad for Nico." I said after a while as Rissa smirked.

"Will he know what pads to buy?"

She snickered and I sat back with a relaxed smile.

I deserve to have fun.

If life gives you Lemon, you make Lemonades.

Sugar, Water and Lemons. We're good.

The ending was so funny to write. Thoughts are always welcomed ☺️
