CHAPTER 3.

XAVIER'S POV:

I was so furious at my father. Benjamin sat calmly at the table as he watched. "Why is he doing this?!" I yelled and he sighed.

"I don't know Son. It's already finalized. I wish there was something I could do." He said and I ran a hand through my hair, utterly fustrated with Liam Sterling. My Father.

A knock on my office door forced me to turn to it as my receptionist walked in. I felt my anger skyrocket even more.

"What the hell are you doing here?! I thought I fired you!" I snapped and she shrinked back in fear. Benjamin sighed from where he sat.

"I'm so sorry Sir. Please just give me a second chance. I'll pay." She pleaded and I scoffed.

"You've been given second chances for the past eight months!"

"Xavier, leave the poor child alone. Ms Faith? Go on to your desk. This is your final chance. Am I clear?" Faith nodded quickly at Benjamin while I stared in annoyance.

"Thank you so much sir. I promise not to disappoint this time." She said.

"Get out of my office. Now!"

She hurried left closing the door behind her. I flopped down on the sofa and sighed deeply.

At the age of 24, I was currently in charge of one of the world's biggest business. I barely had time for anything. My father had groomed me right from childhood for this position and now I'm here it doesn't seem like Sunshine at all.

To make matters worst, I was now in an arranged marriage.

Whatever or whoever gave my father the idea to get me married was probably insane. I had my whole life planned. Make shitloads of money, get whatever girl I want. Marry a female social figure and adopt a child because we're both too lazy to make one.

All that was down the drain and I was to marry an 18 year old.

Whoever she was, I could only imagine how she'd cope in this marriage.

"Who's the girl?" I asked going closer to my desk where Benjamin was reading her file.

"Her name's Quinn Rae Andrews. She's 18. Blonde hair, Electric blue eyes and she's a beauty too. She seems like someone who might be hard to handle." He said as I stared at the picture he gave me.

Quinn was dressed in a white summer dress and flip flops. Weird combination but she still managed to look as warm as the sun. In the picture was also a girl with dark hair and light blue eyes. I flipped the picture to check her name.

Rissa Throne.

I had seen her once at a charity event. "Do they know each other?" I asked. Benjamin gave a nod.

"They're best friends. Anyways that not why I'm here. Your father asked me to accompany you to go meet your future wife." He explained and I stared at him.

"No. I don't want to meet her till the day we get married." I stated and Benjamin gave me an incredulous look.

"You must be joking. You two are going to be a couple. And you're not an ordinary person Xavier. You know how the media can be." He reasoned.

"I could care less about what the media thinks."

"You do realize she's the daughter of James Andrews making her the heir to A. Automotives. She barely knows it but people know about her. She's been on the tabloids but her father gets rid of them so she wouldn't be pressured by society. just like you are."

I rolled my eyes. I wasn't under any pressure.

"Fine." I grumbled.

Benjamin clapped in excitement.

"Let's go meet the Queen to your King." He said and I smirked. For a 56 year old man he was pretty chill to be with. if only my Closest Friend Jace Norman could be a little bit normal.

**********

She was a force to reckon with. Quinn was even more beautiful in person but i didn't show it. Instead, I resorted to being the cold and heartless CEO the world saw me as. It's all a matter of how you see things. And whatever they see is what makes me in their minds.

As she left the house, I found myself getting up to follow her.

"Nice car."

"Uh Thanks." She sounded so adorable.

After a few words were exchanged she drove off. I felt my phone ring and pulled it out of my coat pocket.

"YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED?!!!" I flinched away from my phone due to the sound of Jace screaming.

"Yes. I forgot to invite you to the announcement party." I deadpan and he gasped. "This is so crazy. What happened to all your plans?"

"All but Dust now." I muttered and he laughed.

"You've got nothing to worry about Dude. I'm sure she's an amazing person and I hope she's sane enough to deal with your whining." He said and I frowned.

"I don't whine. That's your job." I said.

"Whatever. You should come over. Tell me all about your future wife. This is gonna be funny." He snickered and I couldn't agree more.

I had a lot more than a marriage to deal with.

My father had already told me to start a new slate when it comes to women now. It wasn't just easy to get rid of all the girls I've been with. Especially a really persistent one whom I've been avoid her calls.

Deciding to take up Jace's Offer, I drove straight to his hotel. Just like me, He's a CEO owning several chains of hotels and Restaurants.

I do wonder how he does it. Dude can be pretty stupid at times.
