Losing
Adran caught Lilia's hand. His eyes challenging Zhakhil to try and harm her now that he had arrived. The knight wanted to see how brave the demon king had gotten.
The King met his gaze, his dark eyes held nothing but anger in them. The male had become a sociopath that neither had regret or guilt for the things that he did. It was tearing the kingdom apart.
Adran had the last night of their stay in the island of whispering elves to thank for his change. Some truths were just not easy to change or walk away from.
And the young prince of Neladia had sadly been buried in the island along with Xaddrin.
Nothing was the same since their return to the kingdom. Zhakhil had become the demon he once feared in the dragon. Only his demon unlike the dragon's had no off switch.
