Kieran stopped and pointed at me, 'You need to tell me everything that happened in Limbo. In detail.'

'Okay,' I took a deep breath and started, 'Throughout my time in there, all I did was fight monsters- if you could even call them that.'

'I didn't have a choice but to fight, because they could ultimately harm my soul. But I started growing exhausted as one demon after another appeared.'

'I had no idea how long I was trapped in there, time didn't exist. Whenever I tried to find a way out, some demon would engage me in battle.'

'I grew so tired of fighting that I slipped,' I sighed as I looked away from Kieran, 'Some demons would appear immediately after another, while some would take their time. This one- it resembled Maéve..'

'It fell from the sky in its snake form, and my emotions overtook me. I faltered when I saw it, thinking it was Maeve and that was my biggest mistake.'

'I blinked and the snake was right in front of me. I tried to get away from it but it was too late. The next thing I knew was that there was a sharp pain in my lower abdomen.'

'The pain was so much that I sank to my knees. I screamed and there was a flash of white light. The amount of power I exerted was so much that I fainted.'

'When I woke up..' I frowned in confusion, trying to remember it correctly, 'I didn't know where I was, but there were no monsters around.'

'I was standing in a white corridor that stretched on for miles. I couldn't make out the end of it, except for a line of doors on each side of me.'

'Hesitantly, I walked down the corridor. A little further down the corridor, I tried one room.'

'I didn't know what to expect, but I knew I was dreaming. I rushed out of there back toward the white corridor.'

'This time, I decided to make a run for it. But the longer I ran, the farther the end seemed.'

'The room started spinning until it disappeared completely. I blinked, and I found myself facing my own reflection in the mirror.'

'She was sort of like my arch nemesis, all the weaknesses I had.'

'It was tough but I managed to defeat her. At that point, I finally entered Limbo.'

I looked up at Kieran but he was frowning at the floor in thought, 'It wasn't what I had expected.'

'There were separate divisions for the humans and the supernatural creatures.'

'I found myself standing in a line. Fortunately, a lot of angels and demons knew who was I was, so they cleared the way for me.'

'When I made it to the front, I saw a gateway of sorts. I noticed that a human glitched through what appeared to be a reflection of the place beyond.'

'A mechanical voice asked me a few questions about my identity and my cause of death. When I told the voice that I fell into Limbo, she kept saying 'not a valid reason.'

'I grew angry and decided to push my way through the gateway. Unfortunately, I got electrocuted. I was trying to recover from the shock when two monsters appeared beside me.'

'They sort of resembled the grim reaper with the grey cloak, minus his legendary scythe. Each of them grabbed my arm in a vice grip.'

'I tried to struggle but it was like fighting against air,' I frowned, shaking my head in confusion. 'They dragged me toward this huge, black castle in the distance.'

'I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Azrael- my mother, sitting on the throne.'

Kieran's head snapped up at the name, and he asked with wide eyes, 'Azrael?'

'Yes,' I nodded, 'She simply looked at me with a mocking smile. When she floated toward me in a cloud of darkness, I noticed how unlike almost everyone in Limbo, she didn't look translucent at all.'

'She noticed the surprise in my expression and continued taunting me. I got angry and argued back,' I sighed, dragging my hand in a non-committal gesture as I told him, 'You know the usual fights.'

'I found out that she had somehow managed to get ahold of her body.'

Kieran opened his mouth but I interrupted him, 'I tried asking her but you know how Azrael is.'

'But,' I started pacing around, 'Azrael offered me a deal.'

I looked at Kieran dead in the eyes as I said, 'Being reborn as a human in exchange for freeing her from Limbo.'

'I was confused. I wanted to be a demon again, not to be reborn as a human. But she promised that I'll have my powers even as a human.'

'I didn't believe her at first, of course. It seemed like a ploy to get her blade back and return to Hell.'

'Even if I wouldn't have to live in Limbo anymore, I still didn't see how the deal benefitted me.'

'Plus, I had out in so much time and effort trying to get rid of her, I wasn't sure if I was ready to have her back.'

'But, I really didn't want to be stuck in Limbo. My mind was still on our last fight with the lost souls before I fell into Limbo.'

'So I agreed,' I shrugged, 'Unfortunately, I had no idea at the time that I would forget all my memories of life as a demon as soon as I was reborn as a human.'

'My memories have been coming back in flashbacks,' I concluded, plopping on the sofa with a huff.

Kieran joined me a few minutes later. I looked over to see him frowning at the ceiling.

'What?' I questioned as he turned to face me.

'I jumped after you into Limbo,' He said so casually as if it was no big deal.

I sat up on the sofa, staring at him with a troubled expression. My voice was barely above a whisper as I asked, 'What?'

He resumed staring at the ceiling as he answered, 'I was hoping I could find you and bring you back.'

'So you're..' I stuttered, I could barely get the words out as guilt overwhelmed me. I swallowed, forcing myself to ask the question that weighed down on my conscience, 'You're like this because of me?

He sat up as well as his eyebrows shot up, 'What? No!'

'But..' I kept glancing between his translucent form and face.
