Guardians

'Listen to me, Aly! Alicia screamed but I pushed her away.

'Why should I?! You've done nothing but torture me for years!' Tears pricked my eyes as I looked at her.

A panicked look flashed across her face as her eyes kept darting back and forth between me and the door, 'I'm sorry, Aly. I really am, but now's not the time. You've to find a way out

'You can't even look at me!' I screamed as tears spilt down my face. I felt so weak for crying right now but I didn't care. It hurt even seeing Alicia's face every time.

The door slammed open behind me as Alicia screamed, 'No!'

She floated in front of me as I snapped my head towards the guardians who had just entered my room.

Alicia was screaming but the guardians couldn't see or hear her, so she turned toward me and told me, 'Aly, run!'

This time, I didn't argue. I let my fire completely swallow the two guardians who had burst into the room. They screamed but I was already running past them.

Adrenaline coursed through my veins as I ran down the white corridor. This was the first time I had managed to escape, I was feeling both nervous and excited at the same time.
