I Win!

(3rd Person POV)

As chakra spread through the seal, it immediately dispersed, the scroll bursting in smoke and disrupting Sasuke vision momentarily.

Out of nowhere, a pronged kunai appeared behind Sasuke, the figure of Minato appearing near it a split-second later, grabbing the Kunai and reaching to grab Sasuke's shoulder and pull him back from the smoke as well.

Minato had sensed the danger once the seal was undone. Sadly, the boy was not as easy to convince as his blonde counterpart, sending suspicious glances at his team every so often and not giving Minato the chance to plant his Hiraishin mark on him … which made it pretty obvious that he left once he was gone.

As Minato's hand was about to touch Sasuke's shoulder, a gloved hand burst through the smoke, piercing through Sasuke's shoulder and grabbing Minato's arm tightly.

Minato's surprised face only lasted for a moment as Sasuke turned into smoke, a whistling sound replacing him as smoke parted. Feeling the danger, Minato wasted no time to let his other hand drop the kunai, a Rasengan forming in its place as Minato prepared to retaliate.

Maneuvering his body, Minato thrust his Rasengan towards the smoke, only for his eyes to widen as from the smoke a kunai on a small parachute appeared, the Rasengan tearing through it as a figure emerged slightly to the right of the Rasengan, rushing past the stretched arm Minato and delivering a knee to his abdomen, never letting the Fourth Hokage out of his grasp, and allowing Minato a clear look at the shinobi for the first time.

Long black hair and red ey… black eyes. Yes, they were black.

Black Konoha shinobi attire, gloves as well as a half cape extending from his waist to his feet, though the inscription in the back was hidden from the previous Hokage.

Blood rushed to Minato's mouth and spewed out from it as the figure took the opportunity to pull the recoiling Minato into a spin, using the momentum to try and throw Minato… only for him to be teleported in mid-air as he was about to let go, leading to Minato being released in an unknown direction and teleporting to safety after being released.

Looking around the figure revealed to be Kei was falling at a high speed as he finally impacted the ground, causing shockwaves as well as countless destroyed rubble to rise from the ground.

As soon as the initial wave left his immediate surrounding while Kei was still on one knee, a kunai rested right behind his neck, making itself known with a simple sound and the words of the owner holding it.

"We are Konoha shinobi." – Uttered the previous Hokage as the current merely snorted.

"I think I would know better on whether any other Konoha shinobi were active in the area." – Kei spoke as he smiled lightly, turning his head slightly as to make eye contact with the Fourth Hokage, who apparently disagreed if the kunai pressed closer was any indication.

That didn't stop Kei though, turning his head further as Minato's kunai stopped short, a sword already making contact with him, feeling its edge on his back.

'I couldn't hear him!!!' – Minato thought carefully, surprising himself at having underestimated the young shinobi's skill.

Sadly for him, it was not Sasuke's skill… nor was his own carelessness… but simply an illusion as the Hokage found an unexpected thrill at having to fight not one, but two powerful opponents in quite a while.

As his mind fought a battle on its own, his actual adversaries simply watched Minato's frozen body in the real world, blood still leaking from his mouth from the knee he had received a moment ago, the moment he also met Kei's eyes… the moment this battle had been decided.

(MC POV)

'Humans… have a very hard time keeping their full attention separated between multiple objectives, especially if external factors are forcing them to focus on only one such objective… such as an enemy intending to kill them, a.k.a me. That being said, it won't take long for him to figure out it is all but a genjutsu. Once he sees the pattern, I'll have to lure him into talking… the guise of it being a test should be enough to end this entire conflict and leave the past untouched.' – I thought as I made my way closer to the former Hokage.

I knew that messing with the past was extremely dangerous, no matter how tempting the system would have made it sound. What worth is it to go back if you accidentally erase your own existence?

'Besides… I already have gained everything that I needed.' – I thought as my smile widened to an unnatural degree, becoming feral, before quickly regressing to normality afterward.

"Sasuke, did you get it?" – I asked without turning my head, simply opening my palm, as Naruto's pouch was handed to me, accompanied by a confused and curious look from Sasuke's face.

'Why… and what?' – Were probably the questions that most likely rang inside Sasuke's head at the moment, having to abruptly stop as I simply pointed towards a direction.

"Delay them for a few seconds." – The commotion, although barely a few seconds in length, was enough to draw the attention of Naruto as well as whoever shinobi from the past that was with him.

Not waiting for a moment, Sasuke merely nodded and disappeared from sight, leaving me with Naruto's kunai and shuriken pouch in hand.

Sighing, I took a few steps to approach the Fourth Hokage.

'Victory is mine.' – I thought as the pouch wiggled, shifting into a kunai as I placed it into his chin, greedily absorbing the Fourth Hokage's blood and stopping after a few moments.

'Now that I have his DNA, I can replicate it as I wish… and use it as a catalyst for Edo Tensei, before reviving him completely… perhaps with my arm already lodged into his heart. Hahaha…'
