79 Genjutsu.

(3rd Person POV)

Looking curiously and excitedly at the eyes of the clone in front of him, Kei smiled.

The clone's eyes rotated as numerous cracks appeared around Kei, breaking within moments as his own Eternal Mangekyou shattered them, bringing him back to reality not even a moment later.

"Hmm… quite the experience, especially considering the typical Uchiha genjutsu. But then again, you wouldn't know would you?" – Kei asked, seeming to talk to himself in the beginning as he turned to look behind him.

From a corner, a figure dressed in Akatsuki garbs made his way forward, his head visible inside an oversized flytrap type of plant that extended upwards.

"To be able to detect me, your fame does you justice Fifth Hokage." – Zetsu spoke as he looked at the Hokage, the calmness in his face and voice showing him how sure Zetsu was of his own ability to survive this encounter.

"Why thank you, I see that Akatsuki has yet to run out of fodder to throw away." – The Hokage said as he started to slowly walk around his uninvited guest, focusing his mind and trying to figure even the most minute trace of action in Zetsu's body.

Searching for the minute traces that would allow Kei to pinpoint the intruder's interest or intent.

Zetsu didn't bother to move, smiling as the Hokage circled slowly around him like a shark waiting for its prey to move.

As soon as the smile appeared a foreboding befell Kei as he flickered out of sight, time slowing to a crawl as Kei's shunshin propelled his body right in front of Zetsu, Kei's hand piercing his right shoulder, the momentum further propelling the both of them to the wall.

*BOOM*

A shockwave accompanied by numerous cracks spread all over the wall as Zetsu was planted on it, my hand piercing his shoulder and my palm spread behind him, on the cracked wall, prompting countless golden chains to burst from it and bind Zetsu in place.

"Truly a wonder of the shinobi world. If only you had a sibling, then your stage could have been much grander than just this…" – Zetsu continued as his thoughts spun.

'Maybe it can be… if an Uchiha inherits the Mangekyou Sharingan of an unrelated Uchiha, it will continue to decay at the normal rate… but if he gains the eyes of someone who has gained the Eternal Mangekyou… there should be no reason he can't access their full power while retaining the eyesight, especially with a little help. It has never been done before… and it's possibly the Hokage's plan, the reason he stayed so close to then brat. As long ass I can convince him there should be no reason to deny him the Eternal Mangekyou of the Uchiha brat, after all, Madara is not an easy person to take advantage of. Should it come to a confrontation, having the Hokage whose prowess already surpasses him could be very advantageous.' – Zetsu thought as Kei's golden chains started to squeeze Zetsu's body tightly.

"Speak." – The Hokage said as his deadpan face stared at Zetsu who remained still.

Kei looked at Zetsu whose head hung low, intending to 'interrogate' him further before a single noise widened his eyes as well as Zetsu's, prompting both of them to look for the source.

*CAW*

The shrill voice of the crow returned Kei's attention to the operating table, another figure could be seen standing, his hand but a few cm away from where Sasuke was laying down unconscious.

'Kamui… indeed, as long as he remains in that dimension I can neither smell, hear or feel his presence. Zetsu drew my eyes, the last variable that could affect this plan and Obito took care of the rest… and the seals I placed for my own privacy inside this place ended up working against me, dulling my ability to sense chakra as Obito used Kamui to transport Sasuke. Played by my enemy and by myself.' – Kei thought to himself as a silent chuckle almost escaped him.

As the process became clear to Kei, so did the possible consequences of Obito taking Sasuke, the crumble of numerous carefully laid plans, of the time spent to build his ties and strengthen them with Sasuke.

The mere thought of a plan that had gone on for nearly a decade, going completely down the drain, the time, effort as well as numerous other plans that intertwined with it, all because of a few words that Obito might say… no, in reality, it was all because those were the few words that Kei knew Sasuke had the high probability of believing in the end.

If Sasuke learned about how Kei had been hiding the truth… the numerous truths, about the downfall of the Uchiha clan. Kei had a very good idea of how reasonable characters such as his were to accepting explanations, no matter how logical he made it sound.

In the end, it wasn't a certainty that Sasuke would turn against him… but merely a possibility… a possibility that could send a good part of his time spent 'alive' towards becoming completely useless. The butterfly effects of such actions were another negative that he didn't want to think about.

A sonic boom followed as Kei's sword found itself plunging into Obito's body, the fast, accurate, and powerful throw of Kei who remained on the other side of the room allowing it ease in reaching Obito before he grabbed Sasuke.

The sword continued unobstructed as it completely passed Obito, the latter's eye meeting those of Kei.

Kei's eyes spun erratically, changing direction dozens of times as waves of chakra were thrown into Obito.

"Genjutsu doesn't have an effect on Uchiha, no matter how powerful it is." – Obito spoke as he looked at Kei with his eye narrowed, he had no doubt that Kei wasn't stupid enough to think Genjutsu would work on him. – "What are you trying to... *KUH*" – Obito groaned as he looked down at the sword piercing his chest. Behind him, another Kei had appeared as it looked down at Obito.

Raising his head Obito was met with the deadpan face of Kei.

"Indeed, the acute vision of the Sharingan allows Uchihas to recognize flaws in a genjutsu and even enter the enemy's genjutsu, turning it against them or releasing it. Have no doubt in your own Mangekyou as it does look at the world for what it truly is…"

Kei's Eternal Mangekyou allowed him to temper with genjutsu in many ways… but even he could not make it so it could trick the Mangekyou Sharingan, no matter the type of genjutsu… as long as something tried to trick the eyes of the Uchihas they would notice it and therefore have the capability to counter or break it… and yet as long as only the eyes were left alone…

'Granted this genjutsu could easily be dispelled as it was mostly a normal one… but fighting a battle while not knowing whether you are under one or not would see a shinobi fight while continuously disrupting his chakra, leaving him extremely passive, ending up in a one-sided battle, especially given that I can spam this type of genjutsu as if it was cheap candy.'

(A/N: So yeah, from all that I've seen and read Uchihas can break genjutsu easily because their eyes can easily pick up the difference and with their eyes either manipulate it for their gain or even more easily break it. So far I have not seen a genjutsu that doesn't involve manipulating a shinobi's vision, which I think is also so the viewers can relate to the situation and not end up scratching their heads as a shinobi stands there like an idiot with the only explanation being "he's in a genjutsu". If you have seen bleach try and think of it as Aizen's ability to completely manipulate their senses, in this case, every sense except sight. Obito didn't hear, feel or even smell Kei approaching him. Kei only lets him feel the sword so Obito doesn't immediately notice that the fault lies within his own body, That being said Obito is still able to phaze through attacks and use his Mangekyou freely. Hope you enjoyed that little test for Kei's prowess over genjutsu. Keep in mind it's not as powerful as Aizen's.)

(P.S: One last thing, it is quite probable (99%) that COVID-19 is staying rent-free on my body, sucker just broke in and decided to make himself at home, so some updates may be late. So far so good but who knows in the future.)
