78 Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.

(MC POV)

Transplanting eyes was a rather simple procedure… well, simple for me. Using medical ninjutsu increased the natural rate of a shinobi's regeneration. But this was not an all-powerful method, as the excess of chakra flowing in a wound could end in a collapse in the weakened chakra network in that particular area, resulting in the death of the patient. This was the main reason that medical ninjutsu required great control, enabling it to be practiced by most shinobi with rather limited chakra reserves, an alternative to becoming a combat shinobi.

Sasuke had a formidable amount of chakra in comparison to his rather feeble body, ensuring a at the very least enabling him to continue a prolonged ninjutsu fight even if he was badly injured physically, his chakra network outlasting his physical wound… at least as long as his appendages were not severed and his body endured the stress. Of course, this also granted him a healing factor, albeit significantly less effective than Naruto's was even as a child.

That being said I could simply pluck out Sasuke's original eyes and put Itachi's in, eventually he would gain his eyesight as well as the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, albeit it would take much longer than going through a normal procedure assisted by medical ninjutsu.

As soon as Sasuke fell under, I unsealed the scroll containing Itachi, his cold body devoid of life and his half-closed black eyes kept staring ahead appearing on the cold table, now holding both brothers side by side.

A moment later a crow flew down from the ceiling, a small glass jar in its claws as it landed between the brothers, the jar containing two black eyes as the crow pushed it forward towards me with its beak.

Looking closer I noticed the scratches the crow had in the edges of its closed eyes, and the pristine condition that the eyes were in. It had clearly clawed the eyes out, opting to damage itself instead of them. It was a blindly loyal summon, capable of following somewhat complex orders while being below the level of ordinary summons in intelligence… It would make a fine pet.

I ran my finger across its head softly as it leaned in my hand.

"You are lucky, little one. I have consumed plenty of creatures in this world, all matter of species to the point that your addition would add nothing necessary or new. That being said I am not yet at the point where I am omnipotent or omnipresent, sooner or later I will find myself at the short end of the stick, at which point your help might or might not be required."

The crow's head tilted as it couldn't understand the meaning behind my words.

"Maybe it's for the best that you don't." – I answered the silent question, certain that if this little creature gained a certain level of intelligence, I would have to dispose of it.

Closing my eyes and opening them again, a pair of matured Sharingan appeared as I reached in and plucked them out, a small concentration of biomass accompanying them, making sure the crow would be significantly enhanced physically.

Reaching down I slowly reached with each hand and as the crow's eye opened slightly while trembling, the biomass quickly reached in and attached itself to the Crow, and after a screech or two, the crow opened its red eyes as it looked around, the scars under them healing rapidly as it flapped its wings, rotating around me as it landed itself on my shoulder.

"Now then…" – I started as I rotated the table and made my way next to Itachi, looking at his eyes - " shall we start?"- I asked rhetorically to no one in particular as my fingers extended into small blades.

(10 min later.)

The process itself was relatively easy, no complications of any kind happened as Sasuke lay under a trance with his eyes bandaged. Medical ninjutsu really simplified the process of connecting the optical nerves.

Moving back from the operating table, now only containing Sasuke, I looked at two jars containing the original eyes of Sasuke as well as the eyes of the former Uchiha Head, Fugaku Uchiha.

The second pair's abilities were a surprise to be certain, the system notifying me of that as soon as I laid my hands on them, making my decision a little difficult as for how to proceed.

[Congratulations on obtaining one of the two pairs of Rudimentary Mangekyou Sharingan.]

"Hoo… and what does that mean exactly?" – I asked as I already had a faint idea of the situation.

[The first one to obtain these types of eyes was Madara Uchiha, the eyes allowing extreme enhancement of the original abilities of the matured Sharingan, albeit in a completely different scale as opposed to other Mangekyou wielders. In the Eternal Mangekyou stage, this set of eyes produce a powerful Susanoo of unimaginable scale, capable of untold destruction. While the form they appear in changes depending on the individual, these eyes are only granted to those desperate for power. That being said, Madara's eyes leaned towards the cognitive abilities of the Sharingan while Fugaku's lean towards the Sharingan's ability to invade an opponent's mind, capable of casting genjutsu only a level below that of Tsukuyomi, albeit at a much higher number of opponents.]

While with Sasuke's eyes there was a definite gain, especially knowing beforehand the power they were going to give me, it also was a power that I didn't necessarily need. I didn't lack the arsenal of Jutsu for pure destruction, further enhanced by the power of dark chakra, not to mention the full body Susanoo at the end.

As I thought about it, 'it' boredly whispered something into my mind… something that almost made me bang my head against the wall until I brought it all down.

It whispered in such a manner that made 'it' seem like a father, reading his newspaper on a couch and turning his head to look at a child dealing with a minor problem while being frustrated, something too easy to even bother with for him as he mentioned the answer in form of a question in passing.

"Aren't you just going to take Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyou in the end anyway?" – It whispered to me while I racked my brain.

'That's true, it is going to be mine either way.' – I thought as I readied myself, a grin spreading as I chose the eyes that were going to gain eternal light.

(A/N: So… yeah, I couldn't come up with any ability for Fugaku except for Tsukuyomi, and I have no idea what other ability could be paired with that as if it was Amaterasu we would now have three of those pairs. that being said it could also be that like Madara, his Mangekyou was much more powerful than normal ones in its base abilities. Raw power with different focuses. I hope you enjoyed the chapter, Do vote or don't, either way, I am satisfied with this chapter… especially with our new little fellow, I am biased like that, I once had a crow though it couldn't do any cool shit.)
