Chapter 18: Finding The Traces Of The Mysterious Person(Part 2)

"Eun-Ho, call headquarters and get a sketch artist to draw that person's face. With that face, his name, and number, we need to find that person at all costs," Detective Kim said to Eun-Ho.

"Wait, don't do that for now. Continue to try making him call and notify me when he takes the call or when the call becomes possible to go to him," Chief asked them to do what he had asked them to do.

And he continued to study the image

"This person went to great lengths to remain anonymous," Sergeant Choi remarked, frustration evident in his voice.

"We can't come to any conclusion that easily. There might be a case where this person did not want to take the headache of any unknown person. It is already good for him to do this much for an unknown person," Chief said to them.

"But sir, we have to find out about this person and how he got this patient and where he got this person and everything related to this. Even if this person is not Ji-Won, we have to find out about this because it is also an attempted murder case according to the information we have now," Detective Kim said, facing Chief and not distracting his eyes from his face.

"Okay, I know this, and I am not saying that we did not get this person for investigation. I am saying that we should not doubt this person this much for now, first tsk is to find him out and after that the rest of the work has to be done " Chief said to Detective Kim, glaring at him.

"And whatever you say in the future, think carefully before saying it," Chief said these words harshly and coldly to Detective Kim.

Detective Kim also understood that what he said was a bit too rude. "Sorry sir, I'm really depressed about Ji-won, so I used some harsh words."

"Okay, go get these pictures to some experts to enhance them and see if we can find out about him through his picture," Chief said to all of them.

They all nodded to this and they all got busy on their work which they are assigned.

As the team worked on enhancing the image and tracing the mysterious person's steps, Chief decided to involve the local police in the search.

When they all go to work with what they got, then only Chief, Detective Kim, and Sergeant Choi are left there. Then Detective Kim's mobile phone rings and he goes to the other side to take the call. Chief asked Sergeant Choi.

"Is it possible to see the patient's face who is in the operating theater?" Chief suddenly asked this question to Sergeant Choi.

"Sir, according to the information we got, the operation must be completed in some time," Sergeant Choi answered the Chief's question.

"But, what if the girl who is in the operating room is not Ji-Won? Then what will we do?" Eun-Ho asked this question.

When hearing this, they both became silent and Chief had his eyes moist.

"We can only pray that if she is not this girl, then wherever she is, she has to be fine." Chief said this to both of them in a sad and depressed voice.

Detective also came back from the side to answer the call and heard this from the Chief and his saddened voice. Then he said to them to break this mood of them.

"Sir, I got a report from our person who is in the forensic department and said that the report for the blood sample that we took from the mountain is still being examined in forensics, and it is only now that its report will come and we will find out whether it is Ji-Won's blood or not." Detective Kim said this to Chief to comfort him.

"When the doctor gives them the report, he will immediately send the report to me. So sir, don't take too much pressure. She is Ji-Won and she knows how to solve any problem that occurs on her way. And she is not someone who would do anything stupidly. Maybe she is somewhere safe and that blood did not belong to her. There may be this blood is of the Drug Lord or an injured animal. And you know there is nothing that would endanger her, she will come back to us absolutely fine."

"Hmmm..." Chief nodded in agreement to Detective Kim's thought.

"So, did you get any report about the Drug Lord and what happened to the person whom we caught?" Chief asked them this question as if he just remembered.

"Sir, that person was given some money by the Drug Lord to drive his car to distract us. We misunderstood him. He is a very cunning person," Detective Kim said this to Chief in an angry way because they did not be able to find out the drug lord whom they took this much risk and now even their captain is missing.

"Did that person not see his face?" Chief asked in return to his answer.

"No, sir," he said. "He said that person is wearing a mask, and when he gave his car to him to drive, he also gave him a similar mask to wear." Detective Kim said this to him in a disappointed way.

"What about the car? Did you not find any video on the car recorder?" Chief asked him.

"No, sir. There is no dash cam on the car. He already took the dash cam with him, according to the person we arrested," Detective Kim said to Chief Lee.
