Ugh… this awkwardness.
Clancy placed her chin over her palm while looking outside the window of the car.
Next to her was her sister's fiancé. It was already dark outside and since Kina insisted on making her brother escort Clancy to her house, he has to come reluctantly.
The extreme silence was hard to endure for the driver who felt a chilling cold behind his back.
"Are you not going to say something?" finally after ten minutes of travelling together, Roy broke the immense silence.
He was curious about something else but rather than filling in his curiousness, she replied with a smile, "Congratulation on winning the match today".
As quickly as she smiled, she quickly pulled her interest less face back while throwing a look outside the window since it was better than looking at him.
Roy clicked his tongue. It was irritating to not get the answer you were waiting for.
He frowned and cornered her by placing his hand next to the window of her side, "That's not what I want to hear. You know what I am trying to say, right?".
Once again, a sigh left her parted lips but her lips curved up when the car stopped in front of the building.
She quickly walked out, thinking of leaving quickly but his words yanked her back, "You don't look sick at all and at least not a person who have just had an operation!".
Clancy was taken aback but she glared him back, "Don't ask me to pretend to be a pitiful girl. It hurts but there is no reason to let others know. I don't need sympathy".
She scoffed. His words suddenly reminded her of her sister which made her enraged or else she was going to keep her temper until she comes with a plan and a certain conclusion about what to do and how to act in front of others.
She left after showing her attitude but when he stepped inside the lift after her, she realized…
Haiz, my f*cking luck! He has to be my neighbour out of anything else.
As the door of the lift closed, she awkwardly kept her eyes forward, making sure it doesn't meet his gaze while he kept staring her.
"So, what's your true nature? Was the one I saw yesterday was the truth or the girl today in front of me is the real one?".
Clancy frowned at that question of his asked straightforwardly but she would have felt more suspicious of him if he has just ignored what he saw yesterday.
Thinking of it, she felt a bit relaxed. Even his sister or anyone else she met today had no idea about what happened between them yesterday and how she behaved oddly, so it appeared that he has kept it a secret.
She turned around and looked in his eyes.
His dark black hair with fine texture and eyes that looked both sharp and seducing met hers.
"Both are me," she replied sternly while crossing her arm.
In the meantime, she didn't realize that she was back to how she usually behaves. After all, for this queen, it was hard to keep in mind that she has to behave like her sister whom she has never met.
"Just think whatever you want. But if you really want to know… the personality you met yesterday was the real me".
She smirked. Suddenly an idea popped in her head. Whether this man had evil intentions or not, she had to break the engagement, so why not annoy him to death and make him willingly break it?
She smirked evilly and started to grin.
Roy didn't really know what was going within this girl head but he could see that now she wasn't putting up any act. She was how she was yesterday but this was just, too, hard to digest since until now the girl he met didn't looked like she was pretending to be meek and a coward.
Yet the girl in front of him was very obvious in front of others earlier.
She was trying hard to appear like a coward but her sharp tongue remained!
Others might get confused but he can never get things wrong!
"Is that so? Then why were you acting the whole time until now? Why never you appeared in front of others the way you really are? Or is it some kind of your scheme to get closer to me?".
His tone was provoking and with each question, he took a step toward her until she was cornered but the stern girl with an aloof personality turned the things around, she leaned on the wall while keeping her hands crossed and when it finally came her turn, she grabbed his collar and changed their position.
Now pinning him to the wall, she smirked as she placed her hand over the wall.
"Well, I heard from my foster mother that you liked simple and modest type girls so I dressed in it to repay her kindness of adopting me though it wasn't my taste but after donating my kidney I started to think that it's a waste of time to please you since I never really liked you. So, as you can see, I am slowly showing my true colours".
Huh… this much will be enough to shake away all of his doubts.
She felt proud at herself for coming up with such a nice lie but the girl didn't know that her foster mother lied when she said that Roy liked modest girls.
Roy did paid attention about it but leaving it for some other time, he asked, "So, you never liked me and what is it in me that's not likable?".
Ha… look at his arrogant personality! As if he has taken it guaranteed that every girl will like him.
This f*cking moron… let me make you feel the real feeling of disgrace.
"I don't like young boy!".
Roy. "…"
'Young boy?'
'Young boy!'
'Young boy'
As if that word repeated in his ear, he was stunned for a moment.
"You are three or maybe two years younger than me and I don't like small things. Do you get it!" she glanced down at him and after patting his shoulder, she walked out of the lift whose door was open for a while and an old man who was out on his cleaning duty was blushing while keeping his head down and waiting for them to step out.
