28. Bi Yuhan's care and concern

Bi Yuhan walked out and the door closed behind him without any hesitation.

He stared at it for some time and went to his room opposite.

Retrieving his phone he scrolled through his contacts and clicked Mo Ling's number to send a message.

After sending it he laid on his bed and thought of the kid's pale face.

'What stress from the studies?'

'Who doesn't know that he's intelligent and always comes first in his studies?'

'What nonsense he was sprouting on my face?'

'Did he think I'm stupid to believe that?'

He scoffed at the kid's lies and closed his eyes to sleep.

He knew that the boy was stubborn. Intimidation doesn't work on him, the kid has to open up himself.

'sigh.. what a tough kid!'

The tough kid on the other hand felt complicated after Bi Yuhan left her room.

Because soon after he left, he sent a message to her.

[Bi Yuhan: Tell me if you feel uncomfortable in the middle of the night. Don't try to endure it yourself.]

To her, Bi Yuhan's care and concern are sudden. So she doesn't know how to handle them.

The milk, although they tasted awful she had to admit that they warmed her stomach. And she felt that the discomfort lessened a lot compared to before.

Yes, she felt good that there's someone who's showing concern towards her.

But from childhood to until now, she lived without them. And for her there's no necessity for them to exist.

After contemplating for a moment she replied to his message and laid down to continue her sleep.

Bi Yuhan's scent made her feel at peace. So after so many days she slept very soundly.

[Mo Ling: okay.]

When he saw the reply from the kid, Bi Yuhan was overjoyed and smiled happily.

'Good progress. At Least he didn't send his usual 'no need' words.'

After a very good sleep, Mo Ling is in high spirits though there's a monthly discomfort she's feeling right now.

"Good morning." She greeted Bi Yuhan with a smile while being seated on the dining table to eat breakfast.

'Wow, that's new.' Bi Yuhan raised his eyebrows and thought.

He was a little disappointed after looking at the boy's black eyes. But soon he thought of another question.

'Why is he covering his real eye colour? Till now no one knows that his eyes were green. He disguised himself a little too well. Maybe his grandfather was already aware of it. Or he's the one who helped to cover this up.'

He'll definitely dig up what they were hiding and why.

"Good morning. How are you feeling now?"

"Much better."

"Then take a day off and rest at home today."

"I already did."

Butler Wang stared at the interaction feeling surprised.

Then signalled a maid to serve breakfast to them before taking his leave.

Mo Ling's early morning good spirits dampened when she looked at the breakfast before her.

'Why the hell there's a glass of Milk here again?!!!'
