The Masterful Plan

Mere moments after Garrett left the captain's office, the guards finished their inspection. They looked at Garrett, but after seeing his current appearance, they shook their heads in pity and went to report to Sir Orchard.

Noticing the pitying expressions from everyone and hearing the Voice Transmissions from Lucian, Garrett realized they misunderstood what had happened to him inside. 

It was just like Lucian had said. He was still a virgin, and nothing had happened to him.

However, Garrett understood the more he explained, the worse his situation would become.

With no other alternative, Garrett let out a heavy sigh and dragged his mentally exhausted body to his friends and Lucian.

[You guys calm down. Owner Lucian is right! Nothing happened to me inside.]

They frowned except for Lucian. who maintained his indifferent expression. 

Lane hesitated and was about to send a Voice Transmission. 

Seeing the hesitation on Lane's face, Garrett sighed and explained what happened.

A few minutes later, just after Garrett finished retelling what happened, Hervy burst into laughter, startling the city guards and guards. 

They looked at him as if he was an idiot before going back to their duties.

[Hahaha, so you tripped and almost fell in Orc sperm?]

Garrett blushed and turned his face away. It was not his fault. He had been too overwhelmed by the repulsive stench. He just wanted to leave that place as soon as possible, causing him to slip on Orc sperm. Thankfully, he had regained his balance in time or else being covered in its stench would have been the least of his worries.

Just the thought of what could have happened caused him to shiver in fright.

Even the emotionless twins and Lane chuckled in amusement. But internally, they were thankful their Captain was safe.

Meanwhile, Lucian could not be bothered with Garrett's misfortune… or fortune, depending on how you viewed it. He was wondering how he could begin executing his plan. 

After reporting to Sir Orchard, the city guards, who still believed Garrett had been drained by the Submissive Orc Lover, gave him one final pity-filled gaze before signaling to open the city gates.

Receiving the signal, the city guards in the tower nodded and pulled the lever.

After the gigantic iron gates creaked open, Lucian, the Lion's Liver team, and James Orchard's caravan proceeded into the bustling Harmony City.

Within the captain's office, Lya angrily pouted as her purple eyes followed Garrett until his figure disappeared into the city.

"Humph, just you wait. I will make you pounce on me."

Suddenly, her purple eyes flashed pink, and her body started to get hot and bothered. 

Lya sighed with sorrowful eyes.

"For now, I will make do with regular Orcs."

As one of the five captains of the city guards, Lya had many responsibilities but even more authority. 

In the past hundreds of years, no one dared to attack Harmony City, so her presence at the city walls was not required.

After ordering one of the city guards to inform her if anything happened, Lya left her office and made her way to Harmony City's Pleasure Pavilion.

Towering buildings lined on both sides of the streets.

On the streets were people with unique outfits and appearances. 

Orcs and Goblins wearing loincloths that barely covered their loganiza's… or bagels. 

Skimpily clad Lamias slithered gracefully, looking for their next victim to suck dry. 

Vampires in business suits with an umbrella to shield them from the blazing rays of the sun.

However, none of them stood out.

Even someone like Lucian wearing a chef's uniform did not stand out among the crowd.

Only on a planet like Earth would this be a rare sight, but on Arcadia, such was the norm.

Barely anyone even looked at him.

For Lucian, this was a boon that he would be stupid not to take advantage of.

As they made their way into the Market District, Lucian knew he had to start his ingenious, master plan now, or else his identity would be discovered. 

Past the Market District was where the Wang Family mansion was located.

Lucian indifferently maneuvered around the Fire Hoof Horses and approached Garrett. 

The caravan's guards raised their eyebrows at Lucian's sudden movement, but that was all. Unlike before, they were more trusting of him. Not because they had a reason to trust him. It was simply because they were in Harmony City now. If Lucian had an ulterior motive for wanting to tag along with them, he would have attacked them on the road to Harmony City.

After arriving beside Garrett, Lucian looked at him and pointed at the Merchant District.

"Thanks for allowing me to come with you guys. I have some business to take care of, so I'll be leaving now. Also, you guys don't have to wait for me. I'll go back to Thunderfall City on my own after I'm done."

Garrett raised an eyebrow in surprise. However, a second later, he nodded with a smile.

"Alright, Owner Lucian! I hope you obtain everything you wanted and safely return to Thunderfall City. Once we're done with our Quest, we will be sure to come spend our hard-earned money on your delicious Siren's Melody Poached Egg."

On the other hand, Hervy felt like crying. What about his promised Siren's Melody Poached Egg? 

Just as he opened his mouth to protest, his body stiffened in horror. Cold sweat ran down his forehead and back. 

Turning to the side, Hervy looked through the windows of the carriage and gulped as his eyes met with Cody and Coby's now opened eyes. 

Thousands of tiny, emotionless, red irises were looking at various parts of his body.

Suddenly, Hervy remembered a special Skill of the twins, which caused him to close his mouth tightly.

Blood Beam!

It was a special skill that he was all too familiar with. By using their blood as a sacrifice, the twins could shoot hundreds, thousands, or even more beams of concentrated blood until they were drained of their blood or decided to stop the skill. 

A few years ago, while the twins were still at the Mana Condensation Realm, by using their special Skill, Blood Beam, they had even killed a Grade Three Screetching Winged Bear!

Killing a Magical Beast two Realms above was simply unheard of! At the very least, Hervy had never heard of it or seen it before the twins had showcased their prowess.

And now that the twins were Tendon Tempering Mages, even Hervy, who was a Bone Tempering Mage, began sweating bullets.

'Fuck, what happened to us being friends!?'

After hearing Garrett's reply, Lucian waved his hand, took one final glance at Garrett, and thought:

'I hope you don't let me down.'

To make his lie believable, Lucian headed to a nearby building that was selling fresh produce.

Yep, that was Lucian's masterful plan.

To escape as soon as he reached Harmony City and let Garrett handle the rest.

The System was speechless. During this entire time, it had been wondering what its Host's plan to complete the Quest was. But never in its wildest dream… though on second thought, it could not sleep. Anyway, the point was that the System never thought its Host plan was to escape and let Garrett finish the quest.

After a few seconds of being speechless, the System became worried. The System Upgrade was beneficial for both Lucian and itself.

From its limited knowledge, the System was unsure if the Host would receive another System Upgrade Quest were he to fail this Quest.

Hurriedly, the System said:

[Host, what are you doing? Do you not want to complete the Quest? Quickly, follow them. Tell them-]

Before the System could continue, Lucian interrupted.

[System, when did I say I don't want to complete the Quest?]

The System was baffled.

[... Then, what are you doing here?]

Lucian exaggeratedly sighed and shook his head. He took a quick glance at the road where the caravan was moments ago and noticed it had disappeared. He turned around and walked toward the city gate.

While on the way to the city gate, Lucian indifferently questioned:

[System, didn't you say the System would never ask me to die? And each Quest is fair and reasonable? Then why are you asking me what I am doing? Shouldn't you know what I am doing?]

Suddenly being barraged with questions, the System became even more confused as it tried to process its Host's words.

However, even after a minute, the System was unsure what its Host's plan was. How could escaping and letting someone else bring Wang Chen's body to the Wang Family be the correct method?

The System pitifully asked:

[Host, can you please clarify what your plan is? My non-existent heart can't take it. This System Upgrade Quest is important not only to you but also to me. I wish to be strong as well.]

'Shouldn't the System know?'

As soon as Lucian had that thought, his eyes widened, and he lost the rhythm of his steps.
