Garrett, The Rare Specimen

With a stern expression, Lya approached the caravan while measuring the strengths of each of the caravan's guards. 

What Lya was doing was just standard protocol.

"Ten Mana Condensation Mages, five Blood Tempering Mages, one…" Lya squinted her eyes when her Mana Sense detected an irregular Mana signature from the twins. 

A moment later, she had a look of realization on her face as she continued:

"Three Tendon Tempering Mages… and… Three Bone Tempering Mages."

When Lya's purple eyes shifted Lucian, her brows furrowed. Her Mana Sense could not detect even a hint of a Mana signature from his body.

Lucian indifferently met the female Goblin's gaze. 

However, internally, he was far from indifferent. As a Primordial Draconic Incubus, his sense of smell and detection of anything related to sex was heightened to an unfathomable level. The stench that wafted off the female Goblin's body was repulsive. He could smell the stench of thousands of male Orcs from her body.

Lucian was not one to judge others, but the innate pride that came from being a Primordial Draconic Incubus caused him to feel disgusted toward her.

Goblins were known as a sex-crazed Race similar to the Incubi; however, while Goblins copulated simply for pleasure, most Incubi copulated to increase their Mana and thus their Mage Rank.

Pleasure was just a secondary bonus for most Incubi.

Lya was not stupid to believe he was not a Mage.

'Is he using some sort of Artifact to hide his Mage Rank?'

However, instead of questioning him, she shifted her gaze to the approaching tall, brown-skinned, wild, brown-haired young man. From his scent and aura, she knew he was an Orc. 

Until today, Lya never knew Orcs could be slim. But even more so, she never thought she would find a slim man, attractive. 

He was a rare specimen!

Lya imperceptibly licked her lips and secretly gulped her saliva. She had already seen him before and was now glad he was approaching her.

Lya batted her eyelashes up at Garrett and spoke in a passionate, husky tone:

"Halt~! State your name and the reason for your visit to Harmony City~."

As a Goblin, Lya was four feet five inches tall, whereas Garrett was seven feet tall.

Due to the height difference, Garrett had to stand five feet away from the female guard. 

Garrett's cheeks flushed slightly before regaining composure. He cleared his throat and replied:

"I am Garrett, Captain of Lion's Liver. My team and I are on a Quest to escort Merchant James Orchard."

Lya's lips curled into a seductive smile as she took a few steps toward Garrett. Immediately, the distance of five feet was crossed before Garrett could blink.

She seductively purred:

"Ohhh Garrett~! What a handsome name for a handsome Orc like yourself. I wonder if you could escort me somewhere… more private~!"

Garrett shivered in discomfort and took a few steps back. Had those words been spoken by another female, Garrett might have been quite excited, but the words were spoken by a short, green-skinned Goblin, with warts all over her body.

After choosing his words carefully, Garrett said:

"Miss, thank you for the compliment. But the escort quest takes precedence. Maybe next time."

Only Garrett knew how hard it was to say those words. He had never felt so threatened before.

Lya cutely pouted… in her opinion. Everyone else only felt a shiver run down their spine.

After a few seconds, Lya replied in a whiny tone:

"Humph… fine. But remember to come visit me. My shift ends at midnight."

Garrett hastily nodded like a chick pecking at rice. Internally, he thanked his ancestors for saving him. 

When Lya saw Garrett nodding, she smiled, and then her expression changed to serious. She looked at the city guards behind her on the tall walls and yelled:

"You lot come down here and inspect Sir Orchard's caravan. Garrett and I have some catching up to do."

What catching up? This was the first time they were meeting. Garrett was baffled and was on the verge of tears. However, before he could voice out his complaints, Lya grabbed his hand and pulled him to her office beside the city gate.

Lucian sighed and felt bad for Garrett. At the same time, Lucian felt lucky that the captain was only a Mana Vein Tempering Mage. So far, his cover had not been blown.

After Garrett was dragged into the office, the System curiously asked:

[Host, do you have a plan on how to avoid the Mana Core Formation Mages and the Mana Soul Mage Wang Ming?]

Lucian remained indifferent and a moment later, responded:

[Of course, I have a plan.]

How could Lucian not have a plan? If he did not have a plan he would rather give up on the System Upgrade. His life was more important.

The System was not surprised that its Host had a plan. Even though neither of the three Souls were cunning, Lucian had plenty of knowledge and experience to make up for it.

Even so, the System was still worried about its Host. A moment later, it kindly advised:

[Host, please do remember that even without a Mana Core Formation Mage or above using their Mana Sense on you, they can see your real appearance with just their eyes.]

Lucian nodded. He obviously knew that bit of information.

As the carriages were being inspected, within Lya's office, Garrett was in a predicament. 

As soon as Lya pulled Garrett into her office, she closed the door behind her and hungrily stared at Garrett. However, instead of pouncing on him and tearing his clothes, she waited for him to pounce on her.

Lya liked… no loved being chained to a bed while being ravished and dominated. The feeling of dominating a man could not compare to being helpless.

Meanwhile, Garrett was truly scared for his life. He covered his nose in an attempt to block the sexual odor that was so thick that he could see it. He scanned the office he was brought to and became shocked.

The office, if it could even be called that, was small, with a black gigantic bed, even bigger than a king-sized bed in the middle. White stains that smelled of men and females covered the bed, walls, and even the floor. 

On the left of the bed was a wooden pillory, while on the right side was an unknown machine with spiked chains.

Five minutes later, Garrett limped out of Captain Lya's office with an odor that all the men and a few of the women were well aware of. 

They sighed and looked at Garrett with pity.

One of the guards who was inspecting the carriage muttered pitifully:

"Haah. Another handsome man was ruined just like that."

Hervy, Lane, Cody, and Coby were furious when they saw the state their Captain was in. Earlier, they were worried about Garrett, but they never thought a captain of Harmony City would do such a thing. And the guard's words did not help their state of mind either. 

Sensing their fury, Lucian looked at them and nodded. They were true friends. However, before they did something that would result in their deaths, he indifferently sent a Voice Transmission.

[You four calm down.]

When they heard Lucian's words, they were momentarily startled, but their anger did not lessen. In fact, they only became ever angrier.

How could they stand by and do nothing? Garrett was not only their Captain but also their friend. They had known him for five years and had gone through so many life-and-death situations with him. If they did not avenge him today, they were not worthy of being his friends.

Lucian indifferently shook his head with a hint of envy, which did not go unnoticed by the System. 

Ancestral God Lucian and Dao Immortal Lucian did not have any friends, nor did they care about making friends. 

However, because of Chef Lucian's Soul, he understood the importance of having a friend.

Lucian did not need a friend to help him fight his battles. With enough time, he would be back to his peak… no, he would be even stronger.

Lucian only wanted a friend to help with the monotony that came with having an endless lifespan. 

Dao Immortal Lucian and Ancestral God Lucian were bored individuals. 

'Haah, I wonder if they can find a way to bypass the Universal Laws.'

Even though only a few days had gone by, Lucian missed the three beautiful Yandere women.

A few short seconds later, Lucian continued:

[What you are thinking did not happen to Garrett. He's still the same virgin that you all know.]

As a Primordial Draconic Incubus, Lucian could tell if someone was a virgin by scent alone. 

The sexual odor belonged to other people.

When they heard Lucian's words, they frowned, and did not quite believe him. Garrett looked no different than Hervy after a night at the Pleasure Pavilion. 

Garrett's eyes were sunken inward, his body was shivering, and he was limping. 

He looked as though he was completely drained of his essence.
