Flying Chimera's

"Wind Hop!"

Wyatt's decision to instantly attack the flying chimera's wings proved to be correct as the duo made quick work of the first opponent. Through the combination of Wyatt and Bellamy's skills, they were able to perfectly stun the chimera while Wyatt appeared in the air disabling both its wings with a swipe of his blades.

The chimeras were clearly combined with some sort of beast with a tough hide, but Wyatt noticed during his attack that the bird's wings were still brittle and hollow like a normal beast.

After learning this glaring weakness, the pair had a newfound confidence in quickly disposing of these monsters.

"Dodge!" Bellamy shouted out as Wyatt was about to launch toward his next opponent.

Hearing his shout, Wyatt quickly rolled to the side perfectly avoiding the horned bird that attempted to pierce him.

"Nice call!" gesturing a thumb up toward his friend, Wyatt refocused on his opponents.

Covering his chakrams in lightning, he threw one of them at the horned bird hoping to distract it for long enough for him to kill the other chimera. Immediately after, Wyatt used wind hop to charge at the other bird chimera, sadly this time his opponent was more prepared so it easily avoided his charge by flying to the side.

While falling to the side, Wyatt covered his other blade with his hysteria skills liquid form before launching it at the bird that had just avoided him.

The blade was able to easily pierce into the monster's wings due to its low defense. Now that he succeeded in infecting it he just had to wait for the poison to take effect.

But, before Wyatt could land on the ground again

BAM

The horned chimera slammed directly into Wyatt's side slamming him into a nearby wall

COUGH COUGH

"crap..." muttered Wyatt trying to catch his breath again.

This was his first time fighting against flying opponents, and it turned out Wyatt greatly underestimated the horned chimera's ability to avoid his earlier bait attack due to its wings. Because of his mistake, he ended up giving the creature a perfect opportunity to sneak attack him while he was falling.

"You okay?" Bellamy exclaimed while running over to the wall.

"cough...cough, yea I'm fine" replied Wyatt.

After crashing into Wyatt, the horned bird flew high into the air in order to avoid any possible retaliation from them.

Bel quickly walked up before placing his hand on Wyatt's shoulder and casting "rejuvenate"

Although it wasn't a perfect heal, Wyatt greatly appreciated it.

"So... What's the plan now? Bel questioned while looking toward the flying opponents.

"We wait for my poison to settle before attacking again" Stated Wyatt. Following this the duo walked around in circles, preparing for the right opportunity to attack.

High up in the sky, Wyatt's hysteria was starting to take effect. Finally losing its patience with the humans on the ground, the chimera's eyes flared in anger before charging directly at Wyatt.

Seeing its partner's rash decision the horned beast also attacked hoping to provide support again.

"I got that one!" before either bird could attack, Bel shouted out before charging toward the poisoned bird. This left Wyatt the chance to focus fully on the horned creature.

By the time the beast noticed that Wyatt was completely prepared for it, he was too late to change directions. With his momentum carrying it forward the chimera once again attempted to crash into Wyatt.

This time though, Wyatt easily avoided the attack before quickly reaching his hand out and grabbing at the birds head.

ACIDIC TOUCH

Sizzle Sizzle

GRAWWWHH

Crashing into the ground the beast continued writhing in agony, while its skill melted away. Taking advantage of the opportunity Wyatt pierced both its wings with his chakrams, quickly ending the battle.

He was in a hurry to go support Bel, but before he could even turn around another loud sound was heard

CRACK

"phew!"

Turning around, Wyatt was stunned as he witnessed Bel standing over the other dead chimera while wiping the sweat off his forehead. Wyatt could see Bellamy's staff sticking out of the monster's corpse.

As Wyatt walked over he could see that Bel's body had a light glow around it. Considering Bel's class, Wyatt didn't expect him to finish without his help.

"Are you sure you're a support?" asked Wyatt in his daze. This got a laugh out of both of them before sitting down to catch their breaths.

"It's all thanks to your little poison, I was able to bait him into crashing into the wall behind me before finally finishing it off with my staff" Bel stated while explaining his battle

As Wyatt listened he quickly interrupted "Okay, but that doesn't explain how you pierced through it so easily. Also, what was that glow?"

"Ah, that was the easiest part! I used all my buffs on myself and then added a little bit of my mana on the tip of my staff when I pierced through" Bel Stated

Following this Bellamy showed Wyatt that besides his light element, he also had an affinity for the ice element. Combining this with his self buff, he was able to create a sharp edge on his staff before attacking.

With everything settled, the pair decided to have a quick snack before heading deeper into the dungeon. Originally they wanted to look through the envelope they found, but they decided that they should hurry along since they didn't know if Lukas and his friends would be tracking them down anytime soon.

After a light rest, It was time to continue.
