Words Are Unnecessary

"Zz... Alpha Team in position!"

"Zz. Snipers ready!"

"Zz. Beta Team is preparing for intervention!"

Anton, who was standing in front of Jerry's house, took a step forward from the primary containment barrier, walking step by step toward the door, and lightly knocked.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

After a minute with no response, Anton, maintaining a serious expression, asked, "How long has it been since you felt threatened?"

There was silence after Anton's words, so he changed the question to, "How old are you?"

At the moment he asked this question, Jerry, who was behind the door, smiled slightly and said, "Millennia, millennia of pure experience!"

"Have you always been so careless? You let a stupid kid betray you, according to the Light Association. Aren't you angry?" Anton asked while evaluating the type of enemy he was about to face.

"Things happen for a reason. Your kind has hunted down all members of my tribe, so it seems like the right time to collect some of that debt." Jerry smiled faintly but felt threatened.

He knew the Light Association—that group of highly trained humans that gave rise to the Winchester family as one of the most formidable families hunting supernatural beings. Every supernatural being living among humans feared the Light Association; all those who wanted to live without problems were terrified that the priest exorcists or hunters would find them.

"How about a one-on-one fight?" Anton suddenly asked, wanting to make the vampire lose his composure.

Jerry smiled and shook his head. "It doesn't work that way. Do you think I can't feel all those hearts beating behind you like they're your babysitters?"

"Then, I suppose, words will be unnecessary. Between humans and vampires, we always have to come out on top, but it's not a matter of hatred; this is survival, and my job is to eliminate you." Anton slowly stepped back from the door.

As Anton retreated, a squad of twenty soldiers behind him took a step forward to surround him and advance toward Jerry's house, where he remained inside.

The weapons being used were mental harpoons and nets. This modern weapon, the net launcher, was used against supernatural beings that needed to be captured, kept alive, or simply suppressed. The harpoons, on the other hand, were used to suppress the main vampire and then kill him, while the soldiers carrying the net launcher dealt with keeping the transformed vampires at bay.

"Advance to set up bombs!"

A soldier slowly advanced toward the door while snipers covered him. After placing a bomb on the door and, respectively, on the windows, he moved away to detonate them.

Taking a radio, Anton looked around, and after confirming that nothing was out of the ordinary, he reported, "Zz... Commence the operation!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Three distinct explosions were heard, and after that, several soldiers threw silver grenades that exploded instantly, thus initiating the operation.

Arghhhhh!

Right in the room, to the right of the entrance, were two vampires. These were the soldiers Jerry had left to defend the entrance and buy time. But as soon as a soldier saw them, he stepped forward and pulled the trigger of the net gun.

Bang!

The vampire, screaming from the silver rain, was immediately captured. His melting body was sent to the wall, and no matter what he did, he couldn't free himself.

"Zz. First floor secured, moving to the second floor!"

Anton stopped at the entrance, watching as the elite soldiers advanced through the doors and how the vampires were forcefully dragged out of the house by various soldiers.

"Don't let them bite you; they say the experience of being a vampire is utterly terrifying." Anton murmured as he watched two soldiers being thrown forcefully down the stairs.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

But immediately, two other soldiers below shot several harpoons, pinning two vampires to the wall. Regardless of whether they were injured or not, another soldier quickly threw a net to subsequently suppress them.

The suits of these special soldiers from the Light Association were entirely armored; they had no vulnerable points and were practically war machines. It's true that they were slow due to the excessive weight of the armor on their bodies, but the survival rate of each soldier was incredibly superior.

"Second floor secured!"

"Zz... Five more vampires have been neutralized."

Anton was surprised that Jerry didn't appear, so seeing that he wasn't anywhere in the house, a soldier said, "We found the basement, sir."

"Then this time, I'll go first. Prepare a small team of five men just to make sure we don't fall into a trap."

"Understood, Guardian!"
