Is It All Over?

"Can we know what's going on?" A baseball team student looked at the agents on the bus.

Thomas frowned and said, "Keep quiet right now."

"Are those helicopters? Oh my God, this is incredible!" Shouted a student, watching soldiers descend from ropes and begin to establish a perimeter.

Thomas exited the truck and approached one of the soldiers to discuss the overall situation. "Come on, everyone, get out right now."

After this incident, the students were taken off the bus they were on. At this moment, the situation was critical; they didn't know how many demons were in the air, so drones would be deployed to sweep the area.

Anton, who was on the helicopter, always took care of Rafael, who was in critical condition. "Relax, friend, you're not going to die."

A few minutes later, they arrived at an emergency hospital where professional doctors were ready to attend to them. Rafael, the one in critical condition, was directed to an operating room, and Anton, who could walk, followed.

"Do you have any other injuries?"

Anton, hearing the doctor's question, shook his head and said, "Only this one. I didn't want to remove it earlier because the blood that would come out would be uncontrollable. Be careful with the tips; this thing is very sharp."

The doctor nodded, first checking how deeply it was embedded in Anton's left shoulder and if any arteries had been damaged. Then, he began applying anesthesia and antibiotics to reduce the pain.

In the operating room, the medical team meticulously sterilized the area around the shuriken bone in Anton's left shoulder. With millimeter precision, the surgeon made a careful incision to access the compromised bone.

Using specialized instruments, the shuriken was skillfully removed, minimizing tissue damage. Subsequently, precise sutures were performed to close the incision while closely monitoring Anton's recovery to ensure a successful rehabilitation.

"He'll be fine, sir, but for now, it's better that he rest." The doctor smiled after finishing his work and left shortly after.

A few minutes later, several people entered and subsequently placed the bone shuriken in a special box to keep it safe.

"How's Rafael?" Anton straightened up a bit.

A woman looked at Anton and respectfully replied, "He's still in surgery, in critical condition, so his well-being is uncertain."

Anton nodded silently, then, thinking of something else, he asked, "Have they found more demons in the surroundings?"

"Only those two that you eliminated, but just in case, drones will be monitoring the area twenty-four hours a day."

In situations like these, a thorough investigation would be conducted. Not all places have been secured from demons, and many times they have been hidden from the Association of Light for a long time.

While Anton contemplated some measures to improve their performance, he waited in silence for his recovery and, of course, Rafael's recovery, who was currently being treated.

He didn't know how Rafael's fight went, but knowing him, he surely engaged in a duel with the demon hand-to-hand without taking many considerations. This, of course, wasn't a bad idea, but there are better methods he would have used to avoid getting injured.

A few hours later, the doctors came out of the operating room and said, "It was a surprise that the man endured so much; even we can't explain how he didn't bleed out on the way."

None of the medics could explain this, but Anton could. He might not have the ability to heal, but his divine energy at least helped Rafael endure a few minutes before help arrived.

He might have done something for Rafael, but in Yoshio's case, he had such a severe wound that even with all his divine energy, he wouldn't have survived.

"In peace, rest..." Anton simply muttered this as he saw Yoshio's body in the hospital morgue.
