"...my victory is inevitable. Those were the last words said by the traitor Kenjaku to America. No...to the world. This madman intends to enact his will onto this world, crushing any who stand in his way."
Baek Yonho, standing on the stage of an emergency press conference the same day they were released by Kenjaku, reported this matter to the world.
Since they couldn't get world leaders to Korea on such short notice, they opted to broadcast this news to everyone large news network they could, spreading the word like wildfire.
The US Government was incensed by this insult. But they weren't stupid.
They remembered what happened to Liu Zhigang in China. If this man Kenjaku wasn't lying, then he was the one responsible for the scene of overwhelming destruction within China.
The same could not happen to them.
That same night in the US, in the main office of the Scavengers Guild, Thomas Andre and Christopher Reed, the two American national-level hunters, were re-watching the broadcast of the news sent out by South Korea.
Taking a pull of his cigar, Thomas Andre blew out of cloud of smoke as he said, "Chris...what do you think of this? You think this guy is just playing games?"
Standing there with his arms folded leaning against the wall, the man calmly replied, "Who knows? This may be a bluff. There's also a chance that he could be the real deal. All I know is that I'm not gonna back down from a fight."
Thomas Andre laughed as he heard this. He would nothing less from his colleague.
"Then, I'll leave this up to you. Tomorrow will be the fated day. Let's see if our friend will keep his word."
Hours passed and the world silently turned their eyes to the US as word about Kenjaku's declaration got out. They had to see what was going on.
The next day, at the crack of dawn, Christopher Reed could be seen walking around his mansion, sipping his morning coffee. Turning on the TV, Christopher kicked his feet up on his table and watched a few comedy shows, chuckling every so often.
"Phew...it's a good day today. The weather is beautiful...the temperature, perfect. Hopefully it's like this all week."
"I agree."
Christopher jumped off the couch and immediately turned, his eyes immediately locating a large white haired figure standing by his fridge, calmly drinking some orange juice.
"I haven't drank some normal juice in a long time, Christopher Reed. Forgive me for being so rude."
Christopher, still in his pajamas, rolled up his sleeves, pulled back his hair and sighed, his expression turning cold.
"You must be Kenjaku. I won't ask how you got in here. Just know, that you won't leave alive."
Before Christopher Reed could start swinging, Kenjaku raised his hand, put the juice back in the fridge and said, "Hold on. I don't want to destroy this house. It's nice. Let's go outside and then we can-"
BOOM!
Christopher Reed immediately attacked, destroying half of the mansion with a simple punch.
"You don't demand anything from me."
Pushing the smoke away with his mana alone, Kenjaku could be seen grabbing the man's fist before it could hit him.
"Tsk. So impatient."
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The two exchanged a flurry of punches, but within moments, Christopher Reed found himself being outclassed in strength, speed and durability. Two hits was all it took for Kenjaku to draw blood from him.
"Spirtiual Body Manifestation!"
WHOOSH!
Christopher Reed immediately released his maximum power, doning fiery armor with a cyclops like helmet.
His mana surrounded him as he rushed at Kenjaku, the two exchanging rapid blows as they destroyed the landscape around them.
"Is this all the strength you can muster, Reed?"
Unimpressed by his opponent, Kenjaku summoned Longinus in it's trident form, thrusting it at his opponent from all directions.
Knowing that he couldn't dodge, Reed put all his trust in his defense, hoping that he could tank the attack.
"Tch. Your striving is insignificant..."
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Unfortunately, he overestimated himself. Each thrust eviscerated his armor and body, the resulting explosion destroying the countryside hill that Reed's mansion was on.
"...let your death be the same."
Using Longinus to clear the smoke, Kenjaku saw the top half of Christopher Reed's body laying on the ground, missing both arms and half of his head.
Kenjaku grabbed his corpse, absorbed it and looked up in the sky, enjoying the morning sun.
"Just one left. Hopefully, Thomas Andre puts up a better fight. After that...I just need to wait for the heavenly army to come. Then, I will commence the final act of this play."
