Throwing Jinwoo at a spot away from the rest of the hunters, Kenjaku returned to the side of the Monarchs, stopping as he arrived in front of them.

"I understand that Ashborn may be stronger than all of you...but next time, try not to show hesitation in front of the enemy. Hesitation is defeat. And defeat is not tolerated."

Now convinced that Kenjaku was indeed on their side, both Tarnak and Yogumunt willingly lowered their heads with the rest of the Monarchs as they responded in unison, "Yes, your majesty."

Satisfied by their response, Kenjaku walked over to the injured hunters and crouched down between, his eyes taking note of each of their injuries.

"Just like what I did for Ashborn, I'll give each of you a chance too. Do you want to join me?"

*cough* *cough*

Baek Yonho spat out bits of his insides as he looked at Kenjaku with pure hatred in his eyes.

"Join you? Heh. You're nothing but a heartless traitor to humanity. I think I speak for all of us when I say, we'd rather die than join the likes of you. Spft!"

Baek Yonho spat at Kenjaku's feet, his expression filled with defiance as he wiped his lips.

"Damn human! You dare insult the Absolute Being?!"

Querehsha immediately lost as her mind in rage as she rushed at Baek Yonho, trying to rip him into shreds.

"Stop."

Hearing the voice of her god, Querehsha hesitantly stopped herself in her tracks, biting her lips as she stared at Kenjaku, wondering why he stopped her.

Glancing back at her, Kenjaku gave her a small smile as he shook his head.

"It's okay, Querehsha. I'll handle it."

Turning back to Baek Yonho, Kenjaku tapped him on the shoulders and said, "I respect your tenacity. But you've bared your fangs at the wrong man. The reason I killed Go Gunhee is because he's an agent of those who caused the gates to appear on earth."

Baek Yonho's eyes widened as he heard this, but taking another glance at the state of his comrades on the ground beside him snapped him back to reality.

"Even if you're telling the truth, you're not an ally of humanity either. I have a feeling that joining you will still lead us to our doom."

Kenjaku shook his head at Baek Yonho's response, looked at the hardened expressions on the rest of the hunters and said, "I assume you all feel the same? Even you, Kanae Tawata? I recall that we had a bet. Judging by the lack of Japanese hunters here, I assume I've won. Now, will you be a woman of your word?"

"Pfft. That bet only stood when you were a hunter just like us. Now, you're just a traitor."

Hearing her answer, Kenjaku stood up and sighed. Looking at the faces of the other hunters, Kenjaku could guess that they were in agreement.

"Then, negotiations have broken down. Since it's come to this..."

Kenjaku tapped Longinus on the ground, causing a giant whirlpool of water to form out of thin air overhead. Raising one hand, he molded the water into a massive drill like form that dwarfed over half of Jeju Island.

The hunters could feel it. This meant certain death. In this state, no one could escape.

"Begone."

Just as Kenjaku was about to lower his hand, he felt someone weakly pulling the robes at his feet from the side.

Glancing down, he saw one of the injured hunters, a blonde woman, struggling to stay conscious as she looked up at him.

"If I...join you...will you...spare everyone else?"

"Cha Hae-In! You...don't need to do this!!"

Ignoring Choi Jong-In's plea's, Cha Hae-In continued to stare at Kenjaku, hoping that he would give her an answer. She couldn't stand to see everyone die like this.

The S-rank hunters were the only deterrent Korea had against extremely powerful threats. If they all died here, there was no telling what Kenjaku and his ilk would do to the country.

BOOM!

Clenching his fist, Kenjaku dispelled the attack, causing the water to turn into little raindrops.

Crouching down to look at her face to face, Kenjaku whispered, "If you join my ranks, Cha Hae-In, then I will let your friends go. Have you truly made up your mind? There's no going back."

While Kenjaku was expressionless outwardly, on the inside, he was over the moon.

'My plan worked! The threat of death is a powerful motivator. I just needed one more S-rank to enact my plan of bringing the Monarchs back to a full nine. I didn't think it would be her...but it was a good catch.'

Looking back at the rest of the hunters, Cha Hae-In gave them a small smile as she said, "Everyone...make sure you protect yourselves. You are our country's...last hope. Don't let yourselves...fall...here."

Taking a glance at Jinwoo laying in a pile of rubble in the corner, she continued, "Make...sure...you save...hunter Sung Jinwoo. He helped...us all."

The Korean S-ranks lowered their heads in shame as they saw this scene. None of them had the will and courage to offer themselves up like this, but young Cha Hae-In did.

It was a tragic fate.

Now that she had said her goodbyes, she turned to Kenjaku with a determined expression on her face and responded, "I've made up my mind. I will join you."

Even though she said that, in her mind, she thought, 'No matter how long it takes, I'll find a way to defeat him. I just need to make him think that I'm loyal for now.'

She hoped that he would lower his guard if she worked from the inside so that she could eventually bring him down one day.

Her will was commendable.

Kenjaku chuckled and picked her up in one arm, cradling her as his healing silver mana washed over her body.

"You will be my sword, Cha Hae-In. In this life, and the next. For eternity. "

Kenjaku laid her down beside him and allowed her to be healed while he looked at the other hunters.

"I have a job for the rest of you."

Tapping the ground twice with Longinus, Kenjaku caused the ocean around the Island to move, pushing Jeju Island back up to the surface with incredible speed.

The hunters weren't the only ones present at the scene. Humans all around Korea were watching anxiously at the news cast, waiting for their champions to come back victoriously.

BOOM!

A massive explosion occurred in the ocean, even pushing back the news helicopters in the sky from the force.

As the news casters managed to stead themselves, they looked at the ocean to Jeju Island standing tall, but mostly destroyed.

"There it is!!!! Jeju Island is back!! Our hunters succeeded in neutralizing the threat!! Where are they? Can you see them?"

The news anchors were ecstatic as they reported this news to everyone watching. But little did they know, that things weren't so simple.

Looking down at the rest of the S-rank hunters beneath him, Kenjaku continued saying, "Say this to the rest of the world when I let you go back..."

The moment those words left his mouth, the atmosphere around him changed, causing the oceans and sky to rage.

Black clouds formed in the sky as red lightning surged down to the oceans and land below, scorching it.

The ocean became restless as the sounds of the creatures below erupted to the surface, their bellows causing the surroundings to shake.

"...I am Kenjaku. In recent days, certain events have shocked the world. I'm here to let you know that I was responsible. The execution's of Liu Zhigang and Jonas were both carried out by me. And now, even Go Gunhee is dead. Why? You might ask. The answer is simple. These men have received special powers from the beings that opened the gates on earth. I'm here to let you know, that these beings are the enemies of humanity. These beings, are enemies of mine."

Seeing that the hunters were entranced by his words, he continued, "In one day, I will go to America and execute Christopher Reed. In two days, I will execute Thomas Andre. Tell them be ready. Try as you may, nothing can stop me. My life has spanned millenia. Legions have risen to test me and they've all fallen to my power...my victory is inevitable."
