Chapter 13

(Now, before you start reading this chapter, I will warn you that many of you might not like it. This is the conclusion I arrived at, after reading all your comments of the previous chapters.

I want the lovers of my MC to be special, but I will make sure that not everyone has a sad story. That's why I wrote this chapter. I have prepared myself for all your comments.)

Both Nessa and Kukui were coughing heavily when Kukui remembered something and shouted "Shit! Grace is still inside."

Jack ran to Kukui and asked "Where is she?"

Kukui looked at Jack and recognised him. He said "She was with us as I was doing some repairs to the energy collector. It should be the room on the other side of the door."

Jack immediately jumped into the house to save that person. He wasn't a hero or a saint, but he can't sit down and watch someone die right in front of him while he could do something.

His body wasn't immune to fire, but he could handle the burns, as they were healing immediately. He also applied a burn heal to prevent any serious burns.

As he walked through the burning house/lab, he noticed an aquarium and immediately broke the glass. This released the water out and put out a little fire.

He then stored all those Pokemon in his Pokeballs and headed towards a room, which was the one with the most flames. He guessed that it was the place the fire started and was the laboratory.

He went through the door and as he looked around, he found a huge machine which had two Pokemon attached to it in a container.

He didn't like it when someone traps people or Pokemon, as they reminded him of his experience with Lance.

He couldn't even see which Pokemon was inside the container, and he didn't care. He broke the container and stored the Pokemon in his Pokeball.

He then looked around, with the smoke and the heat in the room making it difficult to see.

He walked around and he found a woman wearing a t-shirt and pants, unconscious near the huge machine.

He walked towards her and as he got closer, the huge machine started acting weird and suddenly exploded.

Both the woman and Jack were sent flying out by the explosion. Nessa, Oleana and Kukui saw the huge explosion and were shocked. Oleana and Nessa immediately ran towards the back of the house.

Jack, who was sent flying out by the explosion, gripped his arm as he groaned in pain. His hand slowly healed as he used a Portion to speed up the process.

He then looked at the woman he was supposed to save and walked towards her. She wore a black tshirt and green trackpants. When he got closer, he touched her hand and he couldn't feel a pulse.

Since she wasn't dead for too long, he tried to save her. He rubbed his palms and produced electricity. It was a move Thunderbolt, where he controlled the output.

He then removed her tshirt and placed his palms on her chest, which now were like defibrillators. He occassionally gave her air through CPR while defibrillating her.

Nessa and Oleana arrived at the scene and could tell what he was doing, so they didn't disturb him.

After repeated trials, Jack finally felt her heart beat. He stopped defibrillating her and gave her CPR to help her breathe.

Grace, who was the woman Jack was saving, woke up. She felt someone blow into her mouth, but for some reason, she didn't react. More like, she couldn't even think.

Her instincts took over and she wrapped her arms around Jack's neck as she ran her tongue into his mouth.

Jack was surprised by this reaction, but he didn't resist. He is someone who would always accept these things.

But something felt different from a normal kiss. As he kissed her, he slowly started loosing strength. Jack wanted to move away from her but surprisingly, he couldn't. Her hold was strong enough to hold her in place.

Slowly, he felt all his energy drain and he completely lost consciousness. His body fell onto the lady and Oleana, who was observing from the side, immediately ran towards them.

Grace, the woman who was the cause of all the commotion, slowly opened her eyes as she felt her consciousness returning.

She then felt that there was something on her. She raised her head and looked at it, and found a handsome face with long red hair sleeping.

She tried to wake him up, but he wouldn't. That's when she realised that he was unconscious.

She moved him to the side and slowly got up, only to find a new face standing before her. She had an angry and hostile look on her face as she brought out her Salazzle. Riolu was also beside her, glaring at Grace.

She shouted "What have you done to him?" with her emotions clearly shown on her face. Grace couldn't understand what she was talking about. She woke up to find him sleeping on her.

Looking at Grace's confused look, she said "Don't try to act like you don't know anything. Jack was trying to save you and you suddenly started kissing him. After a few seconds, he fainted. Don't tell me you don't know anything."

Nessa, who knew Grace, wanted to help her, but she also witnessed the whole scene and couldn't come up with any reason for what just happened.

Grace panicked when she saw how Nessa wasn't saying anything. She moved back a few steps while saying "No, I didn't do it. I don't know what happened"

Oleana looked at Jack and she recalled some memories. She turned to Grace and glaring at her, she said "Salazzle, use ember"

Nessa shouted "Hey, that's too much. We don't know what actually happened. We need to give her a chance to explain."

Nessa was too late, as Salazzle had already used ember and a small fire ball headed towards Grace.

As it got closer to her, Jack, who was unconscious in front of her, woke up. As he got up, the fireball was exactly in front of him.

"Watch out" Both Grace and Oleana shouted as they both moved towards Jack. Grace jumped in front of Jack to block the attack.

When the fireball made contact with her, instead of damaging her, it just vanished. Grace, who was bracing herself to receive the attack, never felt it.

She looked around and noticed the confused faces of others. She immediately turned to Jack and asked "Hey, are you ok?"

As she got closer to Jack, to check on him, he felt his body become weak again. "Stop right there" Jack shouted and Grace stopped in her tracks.

He said "Move one feet back and then move forward." and Grace, who was confused, still followed.

Jack felt his energy recover when she moved away from him and he became weaker as she moved closer to him.

She was draining his energy. Jack's face had a bright smile as he looked at Grace and he jumped at her shouting "I don't know who you are, but I love you."

As soon as he made contact with her, he lost consciousness again. Grace caught Jack, who surprisingly didn't feel heavy. She looked around and saw the glare in Oleana and Riolu's eyes.

Grace was completely loosing her mind. A lot of things happened to her that day.

Then Professor Kukui, who was dragged his injured feet, arrived at the scene and after seeing the look on everyone's face, he asked Nessa "Did I miss something?" with a smirk.

What he was seeing, was that Grace was hugged Jack while Oleana was glaring at her. He read the situation differently. "A triangle love story" Kukui said in his head, waiting for Nessa's reply.

Nessa had a deadpan look when she saw Kukui's face. She just sighed and walked towards Grace.

When she got closer, she also felt her body get weak and she couldn't walk anymore. She lost strength in her legs and fell down.

Grace saw Nessa fall and was terrified, looking at what was happening. Then, two women came running towards the house.

They went to the back of the house, where they heard the commotion. One woman had straight, waist-length blonde hair and wore a white shirt skirt and a white hat. The other woman had waist length honey blonde hair and wore a black tank top, red skirt and black stockings.

They looked at the explosion around the house and the woman with honey blonde hair ran towards Grace while yelling "Mom, are you alright?"

Before she could come closer, Grace shouted "Stay right there Serena. Don't come any closer." stopping Serena in her tracks.

Kukui could tell that it wasn't just a simple triangle love story. He asked "Aunt Grace, what's wrong. Did something happen?" as her daughter Serena was his cousin.

She asked everyone to stay away from her as she carried Jack back to her new house. He placed him on a bed and immediately walked into her room.

Serena wanted to know what was happening. She went to her mother's room and asked her, but Grace refused to talk.

Jack was in the room, sleeping on the bed while Oleana and Nessa were taking care of Jack. Professor Kukui, who was in the room, turned to the woman with straight blonde hair and said "Lillie, sat here with Jack while I check the lab and see if there are any more Pokemon that are trapped inside. Jack really did us a favor by rescuing those Pokemon."

Lillie nodded and Kukui left the lab. Lillie walked up to Jack and looked at him, all concerned. She asked "He will be fine, right?"

"Hopefully, as he himself jumped at her. He would have done that after he was sure that he would survive." Nessa said , to encourage Lillie, Oleana and herself.

Oleana was silent the whole time, looking at Jack. Then, Lillie's sports shook and a Pokemon made out of black smoke flew out of the bag.

Lillie immediately panicked and said to the Pokemon "Nebby, please get inside the bag. There are a lot of strangers."

The Pokemon, Nebby, looked around and noticed Oleana's hostile face and was scared. It then saw Jack, who was sleeping on the bed.

Nebby immediately flew to Jack and landed on his chest. Oleana had seen enough for the day. She shouts "Move away from Jack" while getting up.

Lillie stops her and says "Nebby is just sitting on Jack. She won't harm him." reassuring her, but Oleana didn't want to believe her.

As Nebby sat on Jack's chest, Jack immediately showed signs of moving. In a few moments, he opened his eyes and looked at Oleana, who was looking at Jack with teary eyes.

He then raised his head and looked at Nebby, who was having a happy look. He got up and held the Pokemon, which was softer than cotton candy.

He hugged Nebby, rubbing his cheeks against its and said "Thank you for helping me buddy."

Jack woke up because Nebby shared a little energy with Jack, which gave him enough strength to get up.

Nebby was also comfortable with Jack. It said something, which Jack surprisingly couldn't understand.

He then let go of Nebby, who flew back to Lillie and looked at Oleana, who had teary eyes.

He smiled at her and pulled her into a huge, which Oleana followed and hugged him rightly. He rubbed her back and said "I know you were scared, and it is natural, but it will take a lot more than just a kiss to kill me."

Oleana just nodded her head while Nessa and Lillie decided to leave the room, now that Jack woke up. Just as Lillie opened the door, Serena rushed inside the room and said with tears in her eyes "Jack, I know I am disturbing you, but Nessa told me what happened and I feel that you are the only one who knows what is happening to mom. Please help her."

Jack nodded and said "Take me to her. She is the only person who can help me."
