After knowing that it was Professor Sycamore, the regional professor was in front of them. Caleb and the others relaxed more than ever.
Since not only was he a professor with huge achievements in his research, he was also a strong pokemon trainer powerhouse.
Knowing that, it was a comforting thing he was with them, this elevated their safety tremendously.
The mother and daughter pair that Eusine and Diantha included in their group was just normal civilians, even then they had a Bunnelby pokemon that was a household pokemon according to them. Meaning it had no talent in pokemon battling but just served as a companion in their house.
The woman was named Naneth, with brown hair with black colored irises and normal facial features, her child was named Nana that has similar features as her mother.
The mother was trying to calm down her daughter who had been very nervous and was very terrified by their situation. Their pokemon Bunnelby was also their his best to entertain the young girl.
Professor Sycamore wore a sad expression seeing that. "So young yet had already seen one of the cruelties of this world. How about you four, do you feel alright?"
Caleb nodded. "We were shocked at first, but nonetheless are fine. Our head just hurt a little from the explosion. We didn't expected our little playtime after school would end up as this."
Diantha, Eusine and Eclairisse also nodded in affirmation voicing their well being.
"Don't worry, help is already in the way. I had sent my pokemon for assistance already. If not, they had already arrived but because we are at such a remote area they still hadn't found us." Augustine Sycamore smiled warmly, warming their heart.
It was really reassuring that he was here.
"Hmm, I think I will have to leave you guys here though. Continue your hiding in here and never come out." Professor Sycamore suddenly stood up from his position.
Diantha was surprised. "Where are you going, professor?"
He smiled and replied. "Well, I can't just sit back and won't help the civilians around us. It is one of the responsibilities of a trainer to help civilians in situations as this." Even though he was having difficulties walking because of his left leg, his words came with a heavy tone of responsibility that had them stare at him blankly in admiration. "Especially when I am this region's regional professor, it is much enough reason for me to step up for our people."
"I'll help."
Suddenly, a voice interrupted him. Seeing that it was Caleb, Sycamore lifted his brows in surprise.
Then he laughed. "Hahahaha, you don't have to. Don't worry, although I'm injured this doesn't affect me in any way."
"Besides, I'm a trainer with the title of a Regional Professor." Sycamore's eyes suddenly turned heavy and fierce, his aura suddenly turned very dangerous that the others gulped and could feel their heart thump in their chest.
The pressure was overwhelming.
"Now that I have rested a little. I can't waste any more time here. Those brutes..." Sycamore reached out to his belt and enlarged one of his pokeball. "I'll show them the consequences for messing with me and my people. I'll make them regret."
With a casual wave the PokeBall released a big and monsterous pokemon. Garchomp, the bipedal, draconian Pokémon that had primarily dark blue in color.
*ROOAR!!*
When it appeared in front of Magby and the other pokemon they felt the pressure like no other. It was a submission of typing, dragons are overwhelmingly strong creatures that sat at the top of every pokemon.
All the people in it's presence had a difficult time even breathing that was how terrifyingly strong it gave them.
"Garchomp, we have an urgent situation right now." Sycamore fill his pokemon in the situation they have currently.
After doing so, he climbed up its' back and ordered for it something.
"Well, it was nice meeting you guys. Stay here and wait for the situation to calm down, protect the mother and daughter you three, you are students of our city's academia after all. Treat this as a field test." After saying his part, he disappeared with his Garchomp who snorted at them at the corner of it's eyes.
They were so fast that in just a second, they were out of sight. Caleb clenched his fist. "So... That's what dragon-type looked like in real life, huh. It sure is powerful just by the presence it had. But, why do I feel so hot? Like there's a fire burning inside me."
He then felt the connection he have with Magby. He looked towards his pokemon only to see the similar state that he had.
Magby's eyes were also blazing with fire, blazing with the determination of being powerful. Seeing Garchomp further fueled the drive they gained months ago.
Caleb patted Magby's head and whispered to him. "We will someday reach that level, and will even reach higher heights."
Magby nodded.
The other kids also were in a daze of their own while looking at their respective Pokemons.
After a while, now that the professor had left. There was nothing they could do but listen to the occasion battles that were ongoing not far from them.
They knew that in their current state and level they couldn't help much, heck they could even be a burden of they forced themselves to participate.
So having this in mind they didn't act like some hero but listened to what the professor told them. They kept watch of the two mother and daughter, including their Bunnelby who was occupied with playing with the rest of the student's pokemon.
"Caleb, look over there." Diantha suddenly noticed something moving intensely from the bushes not far from them.
Caleb, Eusine, and Eclairisse perked up and focus their attention to the moving bushes.
"Magby."
"Drowzee."
"Ralts."
"Fletching."
They called out to their pokemon, positioning themselves in front of the mother and daughter while tensing up.
They knew it was very unlikely that the terrorist would come here to such remote are, but they still got themselves ready for the unpredictable
When the person came out from the cover of the bushes, Caleb and the other's eyes shrunk and their muscles tightened.
It was because the person that had came out was seriously injured, but what they more focused on was the uniform that he wore.
It was mostly composed of white and black, a uniform that had a huge castle design on it's back and a shield on the chest area.
He was wearing a hat that obscured the eyes and above of the person.
They instinctly knew that this was a person that was part of the group responsible for this incident to happen.
What was even more nerve-wracking was the scary-looking pokemon beside him who was equally injured, a Scrafty.
"Oh?~ Who would have thought there are children and... Hehehe a woman here. Let me get myself some fun, before retreating shall we?"
"Scrafty, deal with those chicks."
*Snort* "Scra."
