The Mysterious Pokemon

As the young Pokémon are discussing their daily routine, back to Laila and her three Pokémon.

As soon as Laila reached the inner most region of the forest while following the shadow, she lost her consciousness, and scenes started to appear in her mind.

Laila POV: -

"Hmmmm ... where am I? How did I fall asleep?" As I was walking up, I notice my Pokémon aren't with me. Looking around I see a man in a distance, so I call out to him.

"Hey!!!! you, stop can you tell me where I am?" I started calling the man, but he didn't respond to me. Reaching out to him I tried to touch him. And the key word is 'tried'.

As I am about to touch him, my hand passed right through him.

"WHAT!!!!!" Shocked I try again only to realize the same thing happened again and again.

Then suddenly the scene changed a huge army gathers as it marched forward to a fight, and alongside them were Pokémon wearing some kind of armor, fighting alongside them. There were Pokémon I never seen before and many Pokémon I am familiar with. Then arrows rained down from the sky shooting down both Pokémon and people who were battling.

The scene changed again I see a soldier dragging another soldier to hide near a tree and pass out. The scene changed again, now I see a Pokémon I never saw being surrounded and then another group of Pokémon come and fight the ones forming the group.

The scenes continue to change after every half an hour.

Third person POV: -

While Laila is experiencing the scenes, the shadow observes her in the real world.

The shadow approaches Laila and stares. It has been following her since she appeared in the forest when she was little baby left near the Pokémon center. At that time, the shadow did not bother to show itself to her. It saw her parent leave her and walk away with just her name written on a paper.

It was similar to the situations as it itself has seen many of them. But as it was about to leave, a familiar kind of energy was coming out of her, so it started to follow her. It watched her grow up from being a toddler to a young woman. It joined Laila's journey around the world. When she was in dangerous situations it observed her reactions, her behavior, her attitude towards people and different Pokémon. It saw the same energy whenever she overcame the challenges she faced, when she shared the same pain her Pokémon felt, and whenever Dark/Ghost type Pokémon come around her they become docile and listen to her. It got interested and followed her to every region in the world.

The shadow saw two of its kind in the places she went , they too got interested in her , but when they saw It they stare at each other for a while then nod , returning to their resting place while sending some kind of energy into Laila . It did not interfere as they didn't show ill intentions, after sending the energy they again nod at me and disappear. Like this, the same happened when it met the second of its kind. No one knows, but other than a few Legendary Pokémon and its kind no one can see it until it shows itself to them.

When they both returned to their home i.e. Maiden's Peak, it decided to show Laila it's home inside the forest.

So, when it heard Laila is going into the forest, it also followed after her. When she went into the forest two months back and battled the seven powerful Pokémon it watched from the side. It saw that she was the same when as time she was adventuring, first Laila tries to talk to the Pokémon, even when they become aggressive, she only attacks when the other attacks her. But she beat them and even healed them afterwards and explained her reasons to them again. This time they listed to her as she was strong. This is also one of the reasons it follows Laila around as she shows compassion to all Pokémon, but not naive enough that everything will work when they talk.

So, when Laila was separated from most of her young Pokémon it showed itself and lured her into its home.

Shadows POV: -

I stare at the woman sleeping in front of me. She is releasing the same energy in her whenever she is with Dark/Ghost type Pokémon. The Pokémon living in the forest with the shadow gather around her as I watch.

All the Pokémon I live with are Ghost type Pokémon. I saw many of their kind in the regions I visited when I travelled with Laila.

When Laila arrived at the place, I wanted her to see, I share my memories to her, so that she can understand from where I came from and how I was born.

The Pokémon surrounding me watch in concern as she experiences slight discomfort. But I tell them not to worry, as my memories are all not of happy scenes. Understanding me they float around me and Laila and watch silently.

The three Pokémon which came along with Laila are also looking around the place they came.

Some time back when they saw Laila Suddenly fall unconscious, they began to worry and look around to see if there is any danger. But the surrounding Pokémon come and explain the situation to the three young Pokémon. Since then the three young Pokémon wonder the area with other Pokémon and explore the forest.

Then from the large group of Ghost Pokémon a Pokémon which lived with me for most of my life comes forward and starts to speak.

*Are you sure its right to do this, you can just speak to her with your power. * It tells me its thoughts directly.

*Yes, I want her to understand me, and to trust me. I have been following her for 20 years and she doesn't know about me, and I know all about her. It is only right she knows about me before she sees me. * I tell my lifelong friend my thoughts, with a rare show of complicated emotions on my part.

Due to my birth I became indifferent to all my surroundings, the only emotion I show was rage when humans try to kidnap or harm the Pokémon in the forest. I and the Gastly in the woman's statue on top the mountain (Maiden's Peak) act as the guardians of this place.

Seeing me like this my friend gives me a nod and float beside Laila.

*I understand, but you should know she doesn't need to know about your memories. She treats everyone with kindness and allows them to open up on their own taking their own time. You know this more than I do. But it's your wish, and all I can do is support you. *

Understanding him I give him a gratifying look, as he is one of the few who is left of my initial friends when I was born. As not all Pokémon can live for more than 2000 years.

As I and all the Pokémon float around Laila, she starts to show signs of waking up.
