4 Chapter 4 Orgin Pulse

"Roar."

The Mightyena that attacked Ralts suddenly let out a low growl, its head turning to sniff the air. Its gaze locked onto the bushes where Hu Yang and Cramorant were hiding.

The other Mightyena's reaction was even more exaggerated, it opened its mouth and conjured a Shadow Ball, launching it directly at the bushes.

The dark purple Energy Ball streaked through the air at an incredible speed, catching Hu Yang completely off guard. He was struck forcefully in the chest.

"What the...? I just wanted to ask for directions. Did they really have to be so aggressive?" Hu Yang muttered to himself, feeling a mix of surprise and frustration.

The sudden commotion drew the attention of the two men and their Mightyenas. Their focus shifted to Hu Yang, who was now lying on the ground.

"Ka!"

Seeing Hu Yang under attack, Cramorant's expression finally changed. A white light gleamed in its eyes, and in the next moment, a series of blue rings materialized around it.

The air around them grew restless, and an indescribable pressure pervaded the surroundings.

"What is that?!" The man behind the Mightyenas exclaimed, his face displaying shock and disbelief.

However, there was no time for an answer. In the next second, countless brilliant azure-white beams shot out from the rings encircling Cramorant. These beams struck the two Mightyenas with precise accuracy, causing widespread devastation.

Hu Yang watched in astonishment as the scene unfolded. It was like witnessing Kyogre's Origin Pulse in action.

The environment before him changed rapidly under the onslaught of the brilliant light. Trees, grass, and plants were obliterated and swept away in the blink of an eye.

The two Mightyenas were left severely wounded, their conditions dire.

When the blinding spectacle subsided, Hu Yang let out a stunned breath. The sheer power of Origin Pulse was astonishing.

He stood up and looked at Cramorant, who had now returned to its usual vacant state, perched once again on his shoulder.

The two men were still processing the shock of the attack when their eyes met with a fierce and imposing silhouette that had appeared out of thin air.

It was Gardevoir!

With a flash of blue light in its eyes, Gardevoir's gaze locked onto the two men, who were now in a daze. Without hesitation, its psychic power engulfed them, lifting them off the ground and hurling them into a nearby tree trunk.

Two painful groans echoed through the air, and the men lost consciousness instantly.

Hu Yang breathed a sigh of relief, his tense muscles relaxing. "Phew..."

It seemed that he had been mistaken for the aggressor by Gardevoir. The sudden appearance of the magical Pokémon had been triggered by the perceived threat to him.

He watched as Ralts conversed with Gardevoir, their communication seemingly telepathic. After a moment, the intense atmosphere diffused, and Gardevoir's Psychic power dissipated. It turned its attention to Ralts, a stern expression on its face, as if scolding its young companion.

Ralts responded with a soft Growl and then glanced back at Hu Yang before teleporting away with Gardevoir.

With the danger averted, Hu Yang let out a relieved sigh.

Evidently, Gardevoir had mistaken him for the attacker. It was a reminder of the perilous nature of the Pokémon world. Even simple intentions could lead to misunderstandings.

Hu Yang turned his gaze to Cramorant, wondering about its mysterious response. Did it activate its protective mechanism when he was attacked earlier?

"Can you use Origin Pulse again?" Hu Yang asked Cramorant.

"Huh?" Cramorant tilted its head, looking puzzled.

Hu Yang sighed. It seemed that proper communication was still beyond its capabilities.

He gave up trying to make sense of Cramorant's behavior and turned his attention to the two fallen Mightyenas.

Even Hu Yang was taken aback by the performance of this Pokémon he had modified himself.

All six Species Strength attributes were maxed out, even surpassing Eternatus's highest possible Species Strength.

If only he could communicate with Cramorant properly. Hu Yang sighed in regret.

Aware of Cramorant's destructive potential, Hu Yang stood up and approached the two humans who had been knocked out by Gardevoir's attack.

He checked their breathing and confirmed that they were still alive. Then he removed their shirts, tearing them into strips and tying them to nearby trees.

Next, he searched their bodies, arranging the items he found in order of size on the ground. He found two empty regular Poké Balls, a black communication device resembling a walkie-talkie, several bottles of spray-on wound medicine, a wallet containing Alliance coins, and a ticket to Slateport City.

"Slateport City... Does this mean I'm in the Hoenn Region?" Hu Yang pondered as he examined the information on the SS Ticket.

So, were these two individuals members of Team Magma or Team Aqua?

No, Hu Yang recalled that Team Magma and Team Aqua wore different uniforms.

At that moment, a noise emitted from the walkie-talkie-like communication device, and a woman's voice spoke from within: "Takehara, did you succeed? The auction is ready. It's time to send in your Ralts!"

Hu Yang didn't respond.

The voice on the other end grew wary: "Takehara?"

"He's asleep," Hu Yang whispered, lowering his voice. "Just tell me what you need."

"???" The voice on the other end sounded puzzled, and the communication abruptly ended as the speaker realized something was amiss.

Suddenly, the man lying on the ground stirred.

Hu Yang set down the walkie-talkie and warned, "I wouldn't mind using this dead fish on you."

The man's eyes shot open in panic, his gaze quickly landing on the fish that had rolled nearby. He then glanced fearfully at the Cramorant perched on Hu Yang's shoulder and asked, "What's going on?"

"It's simple. Answer my questions."
