Episode 66: Long Leg

Weezing starts the battle off with a Smokescreen to obscure Rai's vision before hitting him with a Sludge Ball.

Rai: You fight from the shadows. Unfortunately for you, I've been training from the shadows.

In the smoke, Rai dashes around with incredible speed, almost as if he's stepping on air. With this speed, he blows away the smoke.

Announcer: Looks like we can finally see the battle again. Oh wait, it looks like Rai has disappeared!

Rai: I'm right here.

Behind Janine's Weezing appears Rai, who strikes down the Pokémon with a Thunder.

Janine: Now that you're close, Weezing use Explosion!

Weezing explodes but Rai barely escapes with a couple injuries.

Announcer: Janine sacrificed one of here Pokémon to try and take out Rai, but his speed is just too great! Even so, it doesn't look like he can keep going much longer. What is Janine going to throw out next?

Janine: Ariados, I'm leaving this up to you now.

Janine throws out another Pokémon the group has never seen and the Pokédex has no data on.

Janine: All I got to do is slow you down don't I? Use String Shot Ariados!

Just as she said, Rai is now much slower. She uses this opportunity to use Dig as Rai tries to attack.

Leon: Rai, switch with me!

Janine: Oh no you don't. Use Pursuit!

Ariados pops out of the ground and before Rai can switch out, he's knocked out.

Announcer: Looks like Janine is making her comeback! Both sides are down to one, who will come out on top? It's anyone's guess!

Leon puts his hand on the ground and begins heating it up.

Janine: I don't know what you're doing but I won't let it happen. Ariados, use Poison Jab!

He's knocked away from his spot but gets back up.

Leon: You ruined my focus. I wanted to get this done with quickly.

Janine: Same, but instead I'll be the one on top. Ariados, String Shot!

Leon is pulled towards the Ariados but when he gets close he hits it with a Flamethrower. He then goes back to heating up the ground in his new spot.

Janine: While he's still on the ground, use Dig!

Leon dodges out of the way but as he goes to use Flamethrower, Ariados ducks back into the ground. Leon hits a stance trying to find where Ariados is hiding while continuing to heat up the ground under his feet.

Janine: Now!

Ariados pops out of the ground but Leon dashes towards it and shoots it directly with a Flamethrower. When the flames clear, it turns out to be a Ariados doll made of Ariados' String Shot.

Janine: Use Poison Jab.

The real spider Pokémon pops up behind Leon and hits him in the back with a critical hit. He struggles to get back up but continues to heat up the ground. He finally finishes his plan and stops heating the ground.

Leon: Fire Blast: Flaming Eruption.

The spots which Leon was heating the ground was to form a daikanmuri and use a new technique of Fire Blast he learned from Moltres. The technique allows Fire Blast to cover nearly the entire battlefield and knock out Ariados.

Announcer: There it is folks! The climactic finishing move that allows this group of Pokémen to take on our Elite 4! Congratulations, make sure you get plenty of sleep for tomorrow!

Janine: Great job to all of you. This entire tournament was lots of fun and I'm happy to see you guys move on. My dad was right for putting his faith within you.

The group is one step closer to reaching there goal, only 5 more obstacles stand in their way.
