Episode 65: Cobra

The sky is dark by the time the group reaches the finals. Just one more opponent before they can challenge the Elite 4.

Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, we are almost done, the match that decides who will take on the Elite 4 challenge. For our final match, we have the Pokémen team of Ki Rai, Hiko Ottoka, Kyou Una, Midori Ivy, Ao Wart, and Aka Leon from Pallet Town in the Kanto region! Up against the Poison Ninja Master Kyou Janine from Fuchsia City in the Kanto region!

Una: Janine!?

Janine: Una is that really you!?

Announcer: Oh? It seems are challengers have some history.

Leon: You two have the same last name, are you related?

Una: Well not directly, she's Master Koga's daughter. All the kids who trained under Master Koga took his last name aswell.

Janine: I didn't watch any of the other matches so I wasn't really paying attention to who else was here. It's great to see you actually made it. My dad could not stop talking about you.

Una: Yeah, Master Koga help a lot over the past year. But we have to move on with this match.

Announcer: Alright then, as stated at the beginning of the tournament, challengers may only use either 3 Pokémon or 3 Pokémen. Now, challengers, are you ready? 3, 2, 1, go!

Janine: Go, Arbok!

Otto: I'll go first.

Otto starts the battle by using Tailwind, drastically increasing her speed. Janine responds by using her father's signature move, Toxic. She then has her Arbok go in for a Bite which Otto effortlessly dodges.

Janine: I was just trying to get in close to use Screech!

The loud piercing sound makes Otto drop to the ground as she covers her ears.

Janine: Now Arbok, use Wrap!

On top of the Toxic, Otto is now taking even more progressive damage from Wrap.

Announcer: Ottoka is now in a tight bind, both figuratively and literally. Can she escape before the poison takes it's effect?

Otto takes Janine's Arbok into the sky with her using Fly. After reaching a significant distance, she uses a new move, Hurricane, to blow away Arbok and drop her to the ground. Arbok is knocked out, but when Otto reaches the ground herself, she succumbs to the poison and is knocked out aswell.

Announcer: It's a double knock out folks! Looks like it's unpredictable who will fall and who will advance. Challengers, send out your next Pokémon!

Janine: Weezing, go!

Rai: I'm next!
