Episode 51: Legendary

Wart spraying water everywhere was him using Water Sport to weaken all fire type moves.

Blaine: I see, even with your resistance your staying even more cautious of my fire type moves.

Wart: I spent a long time researching you specifically. When we all we're knocked out by Sabrina, I was the first to wake up and took that time to learn everything I can about you. Forming multiple strategies, predicting the outcome of any and all scenarios. This is the one with the highest chances of winning.

Blaine: Let's see then. Arcanine, Thunder Fang!

The Pokémon goes to bite Wart with its electrified teeth but Wart retreats into his shell to reduce the damage.

Wart: Told you, I planned this all out.

Arcanine is blasted away with a Hydro Pump, dealing massive damage towards it.

Blaine: Impressive, but Thunder Fang isn't the only move I have to deal with my weaknesses. Arcanine, Solar Beam: Flaming Sun.

It begins charging up energy as Wart simply stands there, completely calm. The blast of solar energy with a swirl of fire flies toward Wart and he takes the attack head on, still standing afterwards.

Wart: I knew a could survive at least 1 powered up Solar Beam technique, this one having a guaranteed chance of burning the target.

Blaine: But wouldn't it be better to dodge or at least block the attack?

Wart: Not if I wanted to get burned.

He moves faster than he's ever moved before by shooting a huge jet of water to propel himself at Blaine's Arcanine.

Wart: Facade!

He strikes down the Pokémon, instantly knocking it out with one swift blow.

Blaine: Marvelous. I've never seen someone purposely status themself for a strategy.

Wart: I took my defeat and used it to get stronger. Though if that Solar Beam was a critical hit then that would've completely ruined my plan.

Blaine: Well guess you got lucky then, here's the gym badge, congratulations. And Mr. Leon, I want to give you to this TM, Fire Blast. It's a difficult move to learn but I think you can do it. Good luck to you all, again, give Mr. Fuji my thanks.

The group leaves to then conduct the next plan of action now they have their 7th badge. Back in Saffron City, Otto is recovering but is trapped in her own mind, unable to return to reality.
