Chapter 6 Kaina City

Kaina is a large city in the south of the Fountain Edge region.

Kaina was established because of its clean water and plentiful food, so the local market here developed quickly and it was a good city for shopping. It later developed into a port city and was often visited by ships.

The boats were needed to get to Sisui, the home of the Breeders' headquarters.

At the moment, beautifly and Terrance had already entered the city of Kaina, and after nearly a week of travelling, Terrance looked a bit dusty, but he didn't have the time to care about his appearance.

If he missed out on the breeder's test, he could not afford to wait a year for the next test.

"I want a ticket to Sishui City." After a long wait at the ticket office at the shipyard, the queue finally reached him.

"A ticket for the boat to Sugisui City, right? Please wait a moment, also do you have a membership card or a trainer's credentials, which will give you a 10% discount." The ticket clerk manipulated the computer and looked up at Atoki.

"No..." Terrance shook his head.

"In that case, then please show your ID." The ticket clerk said.

The ticket clerk scanned it for a few moments, typed a series of words on the computer, and then handed it back to him.

"Next, please verify your information. Name Terrance. Age: 10 years old. Place of birth: Hualan City, Guandu Region. Current guardian: Oran, are there any questions please?"

The ticket clerk was not far off, and after receiving confirmation, Terrance paid the 2,000 yuan for the boat ticket, and then couldn't help but feel a little distressed.

This was near all the savings he had brought with him, and now that he had purchased all the tickets, he no longer had anything of value on him.

"Okay, registration is complete, thank you for your support, and please don't miss the departure time."

After receiving the ticket, Terrance looked at the message, the ship was the Wave breaker and the departure time was set for tomorrow at 7 am, so it seemed he would need to stay in this place for one more night.

As he walked down the street, bored, he remembered that he had some homemade trinkets in his backpack, and wondered if he could sell them.

"I remember there's an open-air market in Kaina City." With a slight flashback, Terrance thought of a place, Kaina Market, an open-air place selling all sorts of things.

Hurrying to the place, Terrance then realised that he didn't have a stall at all.

Shaking his head helplessly, he wandered around, taking a look around since he was already here, and he didn't have the money to buy anything indiscriminately anyway.

The market in Kaina sold a variety of things, and the 3,000 yuan worth of muppets made Terrance smirk, it was more expensive than a boat ticket, so he didn't know what use it would be.

Apart from that, there were all kinds of precious tree fruits, valued from a few tens to a few hundred dollars.

There were also some potions made by the breeders, the value of which fluctuated around 10,000 yuan, making Terrance wonder at the ability of the breeders to make money.

When he saw that other potions were also priced like this, he shook his head, "You probably need to be an intermediate-level breeder to make these things, and judging from the owner's appearance, he was probably just selling them, which was why they were so expensive.

"There's even something like this?"

There was some surprise as Terrance surveyed a small furnace-like item.

This was the first time he had seen this item in reality, he had only seen it described in pictures in books in the past.

Sea Tide Incense: Incense of incredible flavour, the power of water attribute move will be increased when carried.

Although it is a consumable item, it is also very tempting to trainers.

It was made from special flowers and leaves, and although it was not difficult to make, it was expensive because the materials were precious, and the price fluctuated around 10,000 yen when Terrance looked at it.

A pixie ball was only two hundred dollars, these things, were not for ordinary trainers.

Without further ado, he moved on to other places.

The Kaina market was not too big, and Terrance was quick to observe things, so it didn't take long for him to go through almost the whole market.

At the end of the day, when he was about to leave, he spotted a particular stall, owned by a girl in a hat, who didn't look very old.

What interested him was what the girl was selling, and as he walked up, he noticed that the stall was full of homemade potions.

The potions were cluttered on the floor and there was no description, so few people would come up to them.

"May I open them and have a look?" Terrance asked the other man.

"Of course." The girl's voice was childish and confirmed Terrance's suspicion that she should be about his age, and as for Terrance's request it was normal, the purchaser of such potions for pokemon had the right to authenticate them.

After receiving consent, Terrance picked up the small bottle and after pulling out the plunger, Terrance passed it to his nose, using his other hand to faintly smell the liquid in the bottle by way of a fan.

Without thinking, a few names came to mind including Terrance.

Without rushing to open his mouth, Terrance continued to look at several other small bottles, where in addition to similar potions, there were also some powder-like things, all of which intrigued him greatly.

After observing them to his heart's content, he suddenly realised that he had been a bit rude, but the bottle he was holding at the moment made him frown.

If he was correct, there was a small flaw in the potion.

"Sorry for taking so long to look at it."

With an apology, Terrance said, "Excuse me, are these potions certified?"

"What do you mean?" The young girl whose face was covered by the hat was a little puzzled.

"There should be no problem with the effects of the other options, but this bottle of powder, however, has some minor flaws. If I'm correct, it's made from the saliva of the gloom and ground up with clear rooibos, astringent grapeseed leaves and blue-silver grass, I believe, and is a potion that has a quicker healing effect than bitter plums and burns remedies for grass pokemon burns."

Terrance knew the composition of the medicine, and there was nothing wrong with the combination, but the problem lay in the saliva of the stinking flower.

"The gloom saliva you used comes from the female gloom, while the correct configuration of the potion requires the male gloom saliva, and although the side effects are minor, I'm afraid that if it's in a pinch, something could go wrong."

Terrance could see the effects of most of the potions at the young lady's stall, only a few he couldn't figure out the usage of, but this bottle of powder, however, caused Terrance to hesitate, thanks to an introduction he had read in a miscellaneous book about the gloom, which differed in gender, and there were some subtle differences in the effects of the saliva.

"If you don't believe me, I suggest you get it identified."

Leaving a message, Terrance left, and when the young girl reacted, there was no one in front of her.
