We kept traveling from Akala Island to Melemele Island starting from Mewday until Palkiday, and we focused on exploring Hau'oli City as well as the sights around it during those days. Starting from Dialday we stopped leaving Akala Island, and my parents began showing me around the places they liked the most during their private two weeks.
Coincidentally, this was also the start of the new month, which was the final month of my 3-month break. The month also happened to be the 19th one of 2182, which meant that my birthday was coming up. To be exact, I turned 12 years old on 10.19.2182. The first week ended on Grouday, so in two days and my birthday was on Grouday of the second week.
Anyway, upon my entry to Utopia on Dialday night, an excited Tyson/Machamp came up to me and asked me to check his status screen. Upon doing that, I saw that he managed to complete his limit-breaking, so I did the announcement before heading to his habitat with him for his breakthrough to the gold stage.
Once everyone had gathered I gave Tyson a fist bump before retreating to the circle the others had made. Tyson gave us a wide smile and a quadruple thumbs up before he initiated his breakthrough to the gold stage.
Surprisingly, his body lit up a tiny bit which was something I did not expect since it signified that something aside from the norm did happen. However, it stopped at the dim light and the only reason I noted that the breakthrough took a bit longer than usual was that I paid extra attention. That told me that whatever the additional change was, it was nothing too big.
Nonetheless, it was still a positive thing, at least I was assuming that to be the case since I had yet to come across a negative one. Anyway, the breakthrough ended and I directly went up to Tyson, who was clenching his hands and flexing his muscles.
He could tell that something had changed with his body and he said that it felt like the change his limbs previously went through, so I directly began thinking that his talent had evolved. If that really was the case, then it would have happened two times in a row, considering that he unlocked Iron Limbs during his last breakthrough.
The odds of something like this happening were quite low. If he had saved that luck, he could have probably unlocked a modifier. Still, a talent upgrade was a fortune thing as well, so I was quite curious if his Iron Limbs had changed in the direction I had expected them to, or if the change was a different one.
Due to how curious we both were to find out what exactly had changed, I directly checked his status without losing any more time, while he began talking to the others, who had come over and started to congratulate him.

Honestly, I swept over the first part of the status screen, noting that he now had purple potential, but momentarily ignoring that to focus on his talent section. There I saw that his talent had indeed changed and looking at the title of the new/updated talent, I could not help but think that my previous assumption ended up being correct.
I mean even the title I used at the time was Iron Body, and it now ended up being just that. I naturally wanted to confirm if the talent did what I thought it did, so I focused on it and read through the description that "popped" up.
Well, I was right in so far, that Iron Body did extend the power boost from the limbs to the whole body, which meant that now all physical moves used by Tyson received a boost. The pleasant surprise was that the boost went up from 20% to a third (33.33%).
This was very welcome news and I was quite happy with the result of the upgrade. When I shared the news with Tyson he was just as happy as I was. Well, he was most likely even happier than I was and he laughed before thanking the others when they began to congratulate him once more after hearing about the talent upgrade.
Honestly, I could not help but wonder if he could go for a 3 of 3 and get another talent upgrade during his next breakthrough. The next step would probably be something along the line of Steel Body. Still, who knew, maybe the upgrade would go in a completely unexpected direction, assuming Tyson got lucky enough to trigger another one.
Anyway, since I had now checked out Tyson's new talent, I went back to his potential. It had indeed risen to purple and was already at a bit over 60%. This meant that he would hopefully be able to reach light aurora potential upon breaking through to the dark gold stage.
Nonetheless, that was still a few years off, so I focused back on the rest of his status screen after sharing his new potential with Tyson. The next important part that had been affected was his parameter section. Thanks to the starting bonus granted due to his complete limit breaking, Tyson was starting out at the (mid) gold stage.
From the way, I was seeing things, his reaching the (high) gold stage could take up to a year, but I was confident enough to say that it would take him less than that.
Anyway, next up was a pretty pleasant surprise. Tyson had been working on his psychic resistance and it seems like with a few others before him, his breakthrough to the gold stage had given the necessary push for his body to go through the last step of his resistance training.
I was happy to see that Tyson's number of weaknesses had been reduced to 2, and he certainly laughed happily when I shared the news with him. Well, that was pretty much it as far as changes caused by his breakthrough were concerned.
All that was left was his move section, but that one remained unaffected, even if I had to say that seeing the high number of custom moves Tyson had was really impressive. Especially the crown jewel of his move pool, Elemental Combat, which was basically the move Close Combat that had been infused with the essence of each elemental punch, kick, and fighting move Tyson knew.
Elemental Combat was what I liked to call a type-fluid move. It had a basic fighting type, along with a secondary type that changed depending on the element used at that exact moment. It was probably the most adaptable fighting-type move that existed.
Anyway, we spent two hours celebrating Tyson's breakthrough before I went to sleep. During the last two days of our vacation here in Alola we finished visiting the highlight spots my parents chose, and I had to say most of them were indeed pretty great.
Regardless, we checked out of the hotel on Grouday at 1 p.m., once we were done with lunch and packed our stuff. We stayed on Akala Island until around 8 p.m. and left after eating dinner at one of the local restaurants that my parents really recommended.
We were back home before 10 p.m., but all three of us were done for the day, so I went to my room after wishing my parents a good night. I paid a quick visit to Utopia before I went to sleep to check up on everyone since it was the end of the week.
I actually saw that Luna/Clefable had finished her second round of limit-breaking which was pretty good news. I was estimating that she would be able to finish her limit breaking in another 24 to 30 months, sometime before the new academic year would end.
Regardless, after that piece of good news, I went to sleep and slept like a baby. The next morning after breakfast, I checked up on my flower project to see how the growth of bellflowers was going. I was not surprised to see that the flowers had only grown by a bit during the last one and a half months.
Also, it had been around 16 months since he last came for a status check, so Hypno came up to me around midday and asked me to check his status. I naturally did, and I saw that he actually managed to finish his second round of limit-breaking since the last check-up. He was quite happy to hear that, as was Hades/Haunter who had accompanied him for the check-up.
The rest of the week was rather calm and I spent the days split between my parents, my Pokemon, and my training/projects. Well, at least it was like that until Grouday since that happened to be my birthday. Mom obviously organized a party for my 12th birthday, and all my friends were invited.
The party began at 3 p.m., but unfortunately, Aaron and Yu were not able to come, but they video-called and wished me a happy birthday. The others did come though, and even Yoruichi stopped by for a few hours. Seeing all of them made me have a moment where I just thought that I had gone a long way from the friendless kid at the beginning.
Since it was my birthday, I decided to make use of the moment and pulled Jessie aside sometime after dinner to talk to her about something privately. I explained my offer regarding the position as the "orphanage" as well as the "family" nurse to her and how she could do it while focusing on her career as a performer on the side. Or the other way around depending on which one she wanted to focus on more.
I had no problem with hiring her some assistants if she wanted to focus more on the performer part. I knew that things like this should not be decided in a hurry, so I made sure that she knew that she could think things through for as long as it took.
Well, maybe not infinitely, but I told her that I did not mind waiting for a year if it took her that long to make up her mind. The others, especially the girls, were naturally curious about what we talked about. I honestly did not mind telling them, but I decided to leave the decision whether to share the offer with Jessie, and I told her as much.
She ended up telling them and the girls began drifting into their own world while talking about it, so I and the other guys gave them some room while they were in "the zone". Regardless, they rejoined us nearly 40 minutes later, but Jessie did not mention anything regarding having come to a decision so we had no idea what they talked about for those 40 minutes.
Regardless, the party was a success, at least in my opinion it was, and by the time it was 11 p.m., the party was over and everyone had left.
