64 CH3 (64), Relatively Big Jump (3)

To be honest, there was no need to go into detail about everything he learned about ballcrafting during these 59 months, but he was going to simply list the different balls he could currently craft, a bit on their use, and how he gained access to them.

After he became sufficiently proficient with the production of Common Balls, Mikail gained access to the knowledge on 3 new PokeBalls.

The 3 balls were the Water Ball, the Bug Ball, and the Grass Ball.

Like their names indicated these balls were designed for Pokemon of the mentioned element.

The balls would absorb energy from the environment to create a good atmosphere inside its space for Pokemon of its element.

While these balls could be used for all Pokemon, even if Pokemon of certain types would feel uncomfortable inside, they work best for Pokemon that purely had the typing of the ball.

This meant that the Bug Ball for example worked best for a Caterpie or Metapod.

While the Bug Ball would also work pretty well for a Butterfree, a dual-element ball focusing on the bug and flying type would still be better suited for it.

An example of a dual-element ball would be the Net Ball.

It took some time because he had other things to focus on as well, but after he became proficient enough in the production of these three balls too, he unlocked another 3 PokeBalls.

The new batch of balls were the Poison Ball, the Air Ball, and the Fire Ball.

Their names showed their target group quite obviously as well, and he had managed to become proficient in the production of the Poison Ball and the Air Ball.

He still needed to work on increasing his success rate for the Fire Ball.

Mikail could produce successful products, but he still failed more often than not.

He hoped to finish with the Fire Ball soon, so that he may unlock the next batch of PokeBalls.

There were still 11 elemental balls he had to master before he could access the knowledge on dual-element PokeBalls, and he had to master those before he could access the triple-element balls.

The road to master a craft is long indeed.

Even with him cutting the time it takes to memorize the necessary knowledge mastering a craft was still a time-consuming activity.

He was happy that he was young and that his lifespan was going to be really long, at least he hoped so, or all the knowledge he had access to would have gone to waste.

The next point was the one that had the biggest surprises for him during this time.

The unintended effects the progress of his aura training had on him, more specifically his body, had really surprised him.

His previous progress with aura had no direct impact on himself, except for the body and regeneration boost he gained upon reaching Tier 1, so it was quite unexpected when he noted 1 month into his training that he had grown by half a centimeter.

At first, he was not sure if he had really grown a bit or not, because he was not supposed to grow in height at all until it was time for the second development phase when he became ~7.5 years old.

However, after he noted another increase in size during the next month, he confirmed that he had indeed started to grow again.

Now, a difference of 1 cm could be ignored, but if he kept growing, as he suspected he would, then he had a problem.

He concluded that his aura training was responsible for his sudden growth, which made sense since aura was life energy.

A steady influx of life energy and his increasing aura capacity basically prematurely kick-started his second development phase.

While his growth was slower than it normally would have been during the second growth phase, he still finished it 6 months ago, which meant that he currently looked like an 11 years old child according to earth standards.

This was early by more than 4 years since he was supposed to look like this only after he became 8 years old.

Anyway, as soon as he confirmed that he had started growing again, Mikail knew that he would be unable to hide his growth from his parents for too long, so he decided to come clean himself.

He went to his parents and told them that he had noticed another warm energy while he was focusing on his psychic energy and that he had tried to absorb it as well.

He explained to them that he had noticed himself growing a bit after he kept absorbing the new energy.

After he described to them the feeling of the energy as well as demonstrating to them the absorption process, his parents correctly deduced that the energy he mentioned was aura.

Mikail found his parent's reaction when they found out that he had not only one but two elemental talents, and that the second one was aura, quite funny.

Still, the conversation that followed after they calmed down was much less funny.

They started discussing the possible reactions and consequences that would most likely follow if it came to light that he had 2 complementary elemental talents.

His parents concluded that it would be too dangerous and not worth the danger that would follow.

They warned him that he would have to hide his second talent.

Since his physical growth was not something that could be hidden without actually hiding him until he was old enough to not stand out, it would make more sense to say he had an aura talent and to hide his psychic talent until he was strong enough to protect himself from unsavory characters.

Thus it was decided that he would openly only show his aura talent and that his psychic talent would remain a secret that would not be mentioned to anyone.

The only ones that knew about his psychic talent besides them were the Field family.

His parents assured him that it would not be a problem and that he should leave that to them.

Mikail agreed with their decision and they started to talk about the available aura schools.

It turns out that the enrollment age for aura schools was higher than that of other elemental schools, with it being 8 years, because they waited until the body matured a bit more.

This actually fit Mikail's plans quite well, because he would have more time to consider if he should enroll or not, since he actually did not need the knowledge available at any of the schools, so access to resources would be the only useful thing for him.

Anyway, the result of the discussion that day was that he would be allowed to openly display his aura talent and that his psychic talent would be hidden from the public.

He had become quite adept at masking his energy, so the only ones who could notice his psionic energy (or aura) while he was hiding them were either psychics (or aura users) that were much stronger than him, or if they did not possess the talent he was trying to hide, then they were individuals exceptionally more powerful than him.

Since then Mikail had reached the Tier 1, First-Class Aura User grade.

He had during his training first mastered how to sense the emotions and aura of others, before he unlocked the aura speech ability that allowed him to convey and understand feelings to/of Pokemon.

The final ability he unlocked was internal aura manipulation, which was useful to actively boost his body.

This allowed him to increase his strength, speed, durability, or even his overall physique.

After he reached the Tier 1, First-Class Aura User grade, he started to alternate his training time between psychic and aura training once more.

While he has not reached Tier 2 in any of his talents yet, his battle prowess had reached the (high) bronze stage, which was really impressive, at least in his opinion.

He showed his parent some of his progress to lay the foundation for some of his future plans, so they knew that he had entered Tier 1 in both categories, but not how high he had reached.

His parents were extremely proud of him, and they had no problem with expressing that towards him.

The increase of his battle prowess, and that of his Pokemon led to a large size expansion of his space.

The total size of his main space had reached 78.000 sqm (7.8 hectares), with 20.000 sqm (2 hectares) making up the pond.

Was a body of water 2 hectares in size large enough to be considered a mini-lake, or was it still called a pond?

He did not know, but he was happy that its size had increased so much because his Magikarp wouldn't have had sufficient space otherwise.

The same was true for the Magikarp inside his sub-space marine, which like all his substances were 7.800 sqm in size.

Nevertheless, with the way the Magikarp population inside his sub-space was increasing, he would either have to transfer the ones with the highest potential to the pond or limit their reproduction rate, because they were going to run out of space otherwise.

The only reason they did not run out of space was that the size of bodies actually had to be regarded in cubic meters and all of his subspace had a height of 25 meters, which meant that his sub-space marine had an area of 195.000 cubic meters.

The depth of his pond was currently 25 meters as well, so his main space did not have a population problem.

Aside from the size increase, there were still another 3 upgrades to his space.

First, the ability of his space to increase the quality of an object increased to D-Class.

The same was valid for its production capabilities, which lead him to the second improvement, the production rate.

His space could currently produce 10 D-Class portions per material per month since it took longer to produce them, or he could produce 20 E-Class materials per week instead.

The third upgrade was to his house/mansion.

Another floor was added to his house, one that contained a berry/potions lab, that was a strange mix of chemistry lab and kitchen.

The lab was a relatively new addition, so he had not used it that much, but it certainly made the preparation of supplements easier for him.

Another area that he had made remarkable progress in was his education, at least according to his parents.

According to his parents, he had already completed the curriculum of the first as well as second year and was halfway through the third (final) year of elementary school, which made him wonder what he was going to do at school when it was time for him to enroll, once he turned 5.

Hopefully, there was the option to test out, or something like online courses where he only had to pass the exams.

Anyway, the only interesting subjects were (basic) Geography, (basic) Pokemon Knowledge, (basic) Berry Knowledge, and (basic) History.

He found (basic) Pokemon Knowledge and (basic) Berry Knowledge lessons relatively interesting because it showed him what was considered to be important enough to be taught to children first, besides hearing information on Pokemon and berries did not get boring in his mind, so that was a plus.

Mikail found himself really interested in the (basic) Geography, and (basic) History lessons.

There he learned about important/dangerous places and important events/individuals, granted the subjects focused more on Hope Town, the area around it, and later on the Kanto region, but he found the information useful/interesting nonetheless.

The most important event, at least in his opinion, he had learned of was the change in the calendar.

Apparently, there were currently two calendars in use.

The old calendar, that used N.B. (New Beginning) to denote the year, which started with the start of the current civilization, not that this was the reason given for the name and the new/current calendar, that used S.A.E. (Since Alliance Establishment) to denote the year.

According to the old calendar, it was the year 4872 N.B. and according to the new one, it was 2172 S.A.E., which meant the new Calendar was introduced in the year 2700 N.B.

This also showed when the Pokemon Alliance, the current government, was founded.

Now, here comes a piece of information that had surprised and impressed him.

The person to be the most vital in the founding of the Alliance was none other than Samuel Oak.

Yes, Professor Oak, at that time Champion Oak, was the one that lead the establishment of the Alliance.

That also means that the guy is over 2300 years old because he knew that Professor Oak was still alive and kicking.

How awesome is that?

As he said, he found the history lessons quite interesting.

Anyways, there was no reason to go over everything he learned.

Let's see after the education aspect, he only was left with other notable events that happened during these ~59 months.
