13. Mysterious Power

When she arrived, she had already seen the two , but she didn't bother to intervene.

As a mother, she naturally knows her daughter. Seeing her daughter now, she could tell Serena had been crying. She suspected that the relationship between her daughter and that little boy was not simple, but she didn't mind.

She had sent Serena out to make more friends, but it seemed a lot had happened along the way, and she was truly curious to know what had happened.

"Ok!!" Hearing that her mother said they were going home, Serena was still a bit reluctant, but with Ash's assurance, she stopped resisting and nodded in agreement.

Silently touching the straw hat on her head, she suddenly remembered something.

"Ah! Oops!" When she touched the straw hat, she suddenly recalled something, took out a blue handkerchief from her pocket, and looked around for Ash, but he was nowhere to be seen.

It was the handkerchief Ash had used to bandage her wound, but she forgot to return it to him.

Hearing Grace's voice, Serena decided not to chase after Ash and didn't tell her mother about it. Instead, she held the handkerchief tightly to her chest.

"He said we will meet again, so I'll give it back to him the next time we meet!"

In reality, she could have just handed it to Professor Oak, but Serena carefully put away the handkerchief, hoping to return it to Ash herself one day. Or maybe... she just wanted to keep it, even she wasn't sure.

Meanwhile, Ash returned home.

"Mom! I'm back!"

As soon as he opened the door, he smelled the aroma of cooking.

"You're back? You've worked hard! Go take a shower and rest, dinner will be ready soon." Standing in the kitchen, Delia was surprised to see Ash come back, holding a cooking spoon in her hand.

Knowing that Ash was home, she had already started preparing a luxurious dinner for him.

"Thank you, Mom! I'll go and take a shower." It was really nice to have someone at home who cared about him. After spending a few days in this world, he felt a different kind of warmth compared to his previous life.

After thanking her, Ash went upstairs, leaving Delia stunned.

"This kid has really grown up!" Although he wasn't a bad boy before, the carefree Ash never used to say thank you, and Delia couldn't help being moved.

Of course, Ash didn't realize how much his casual words had moved his mother. He went upstairs, took a shower, changed into new clothes, dried his hair, and laid down on the bed.

With his hands behind his head and his legs crossed, he stared at the ceiling, recalling the past. It felt a little strange.

Even though he had watched a lot of anime and had an adult's mind, he couldn't help but doubt how he could command those two Pokémon so efficiently, as if he were their original trainer.

After all, those weren't his own Pokémon, but he somehow knew what moves they could use, and his commands, though not detailed, were executed perfectly. It was as if they understood each other completely, executing plans flawlessly.

In his memories, Ash in the anime was quite special, but it seemed he didn't have this particular ability. He remembered that in the movie version, Ash seemed to have the power of aura.

However, it cannot be used as freely as the Aura Guardian. In this world, aside from the magical Pokémon, many humans also possess special abilities, such as the power of aura, psychic powers, the power of Viridian, and the power of dragons.

The power of aura is a force present in all things, but it is usually very weak in most people. Pokémon adept at aura can sense it, and some humans have strong aura abilities and can even utilize them. Those with this power can perceive aura fluctuations and communicate mentally with others who also possess strong aura.

Psychics are individuals who can manipulate objects and communicate using telepathy through their thoughts. They can also engage in combat using these abilities.

Power to connect hearts, a powerful force seen in movies, allows communication with Pokémon and can soothe the emotions of Legendary Pokémon, preventing their destructive powers from posing a threat.

The power of Viridian, which appeared in the special manga, is said to be a gift from the Viridian Forest. This power, passed on every ten years, enables the bearer to read Pokémon's thoughts and heal them directly. In the special chapter, only the Elite Four champion possesses this power.

In Johto's Blackthorn City, the power of dragons is inherited, allowing the user to control dragons and dragon-related Pokémon. This power is unique in its dual effects.

However, my own strength seems to differ from these powers. The mind-to-heart connection is somewhat similar to the power of aura. As long as the auras are synchronized, even if the power of aura isn't actively used, cooperation becomes seamless.

Being able to control completely unfamiliar Pokémon is reminiscent of the power of dragons, but it isn't limited to dragons. These powers, no matter how closely linked to Pokémon, are still distinct. Yet, Ash feels his own power is as if he has become a Pokémon himself. When the Pokémon is tired, he feels even more exhausted. This type of power doesn't match any of the known abilities.

Perhaps it is an ability that hasn't been introduced in the current anime. It might be a benefit of being a time traveler.

"Forget it! Anyway, it's a good thing."

Although he couldn't figure out exactly what his power was, he was content. Unlike other travelers who get systems or mentors, Ash was satisfied with his unique ability. Now, he just needed to figure out how to hone this power and make the most of it.
