Chapter 120 - Indigo League; Continuation of last two battles

The match between Ash and Cameron continued to progress. As the battle progressed things became more interesting. Before the battle between Dewott and Tauros could end, Luna's father had to urgently leave because of some office work. But her father have promised Luna that he would return before the semi-final starts.

The battle between Dewott and Tauros ended in a draw.

After that Ash took out his Pikachu while Cameron went with Watchog. This battle was one sided battle since Watchog level was lower than Pikachu.

Cameron had no choice but to switch his Pokémon with Ferrothorn. Ferrothorn had better resistance against electricity even though it's level was one stage lower than Pikachu.

"Itsuki, we are going out for a while." Everyone saw Rui and Kagami standing up. Rui had grabbed Kagami's hand and Kagami looked reluctant to leave as he knew that his wife is going to tell him to carry many things.

Itsuki could tell that his father was being forced to go with his mother."Baby we are going to do some shopping. There are so many local and foreign unique goods that I want to buy. Don't worry we will return before the semi-finals."

Itsuki gave a pitiful look to his father and then nodded to head towards his mother.

After Luna's father and Itsuki's parents left, the room felt little empty.

After Itsuki's parents left, using this space Serena closed the distance and sat closer to Itsuki.

Sabrina was sitting on Itsuki's left. While Cynthia and Luna were sitting on the other side with Cynthia's parents.

Another 5 minutes passed and Ash managed to defeat Ferrothorn and Pikachu also looked little exhausted.

Both Ash and Cameron recalled their Pokémon and called another two new Pokémon into the battle.

Cameron called Swanna, a flying and water type Pokémon. While Ash took out Butterfree. Again both Pokémon levels were same.

Itsuki already had lost his interest in the battle. He already could guess how this fight was going to end.

"Cynthia, what is your plans after the League?" Itsuki asked out of curiosity. Cynthia turned to Itsuki and wondered why he asked this question.

"I am going to one month vacation with my mother and grandma and visit the orange islands."

Itsuki turned to Luna and asked. "What about you Luna?"

Cynthia also looked interested in her answer. Cynthia was already planning on getting Luna, Sabrina and Serena's personal contact info. She wanted to stay in touch with the other girls.

"Me? I am going to work as Father's secretary and learn things from him." Cooper wants to train his daughter and make her the perfect successor to inherit his business empire.

"What about you Serena?" Luna and Cynthia looked Serena. Grace also looked at her daughter aa she alsp wanted to use this chance to know what her daughter want to do for her future.

Serena deeply thought for few minutes and couldn't came up with any answer. Serena still haven't found anything that could truly interest her. "I don't know. I am still haven't found the carrier that I want to pursue." Serena replied honestly.

Serena was little depressed. While everyone in the room had the path they were going to follow, Serena was the only one without any goals. Serena felt lost in thick mist unable to find a way out.

Itsuki noticed the depressed look on Serena's face. "Well, don't pressure yourself. Sometimes you just need longer time to find your interest." Serena nodded her head with a smile.

Sabrina thought that Itsuki waa going to ask her the same question as he did to Serena, Cynthia and Luna.

But to her disappointment, Itsuki didn't ask her anything instead he shifted his focus to the match. Sabrina felt little annoyed but Sabrina didn't complain in front of others.

But from time to time she kept glaring at Itsuki which Itsuki also noticed and chose to ignore.

Last night Itsuki had asked Sabrina to come with him to his vacation trip with Brock. Itsuki was planning on having a nice and long chat with Sabrina.

'Should I invite Serena as well?' Itsuki decided not to invite Serena in this trip. Itsuki had to solve his relationship matters with Sabrina and bringing Serena in the trip will only make things difficult for him. As he was sure Sabrina would be jealous and angry with him.

Itsuki had told Sabrina to keep quiet about their trip plan. Itsuki felt Luna would definitely try to go with him if she were to learn about this. Itsuki didn't want to bring Luna in the trip as she would ruin his holidays.

Luna is type of girl who loved making trouble for Itsuki. Itsuki doesn't wants to create more trouble for him by bringing Luna in this trip.

The battle continued soon Ash began to dominate. Cameron lost 3 of his Pokemon to Charizard and now only Lucario was left in his team.

Even though Lucario was a 5th order, he still lost to Charizard and the third match ended with Ash gaining 4 points.

So currently Cynthia had total of 16 points; 10 points from the previous round.

Itsuki had 15 points; 10 points from the previous round. And Ash had 11.5 points; 7.5 points from the previous round.

Cynthia was leading in the scoreboard while Itsuki being in the second place. Due to their high points both Cynthia and Itsuki's place in the semi-finals was confirmed.

But Ash was a different story. Ash had 11 points, 5 points away from getting a perfect score.

If any two trainers in the next two matches manages to beat Ash in terms of points then he would be eliminated. This made Ash and Misty little worried.

The 4th match was between Paul and William. William is a trainer from a Johto region. The battle started with as Paul bought out his Electivire. Paul was trying to get full 6 points in this match and catch up with Cynthia who had the perfect and highest score.

Paul easily overpowered Williams Mid 4th order and Peak 4th order Pokémon. Electivire easily defeated Williams Pokémon one after the another.

"At this rate this Paul guy will get more points than Itsuki and would come second after Cynthia." Serena glanced Itsuki with a worried look. Seeing Itsuki getting pushed to the third position made Serena feel anxious.

"Don't worry. I have checked info on the 5th match participants. Both Lilith and Lisa entered in top 10 position with 7.5 and 7 points Even if one of them manages to win and get perfect 6 points they still won't able to take away Itsuki's place."

"That's good." Serena sighed in relief.

"By the way, what would happen if Cynthia and Itsuki were to face each other in semi-finals?" Both Cynthia and Itsuki exchanged gazes and then looked at Sabrina.

"I wished to facing Cynthia at the finals. But if we were to fight in the semi-finals then I am not going to hold back." Cynthia smiled slightly knowing that Itsuki also desired to face her at the finals.

"What about you Cynthia?" This conversation had picked the interest of the adults as well. Grace, Carolina and Shizuka all looked at Cynthia and was interested in knowing her answer.

"I think the probability of me facing Itsuki is not that high. We also can't ignore both Ash and Paul. Both have something which would make things very difficult for us. Paul, Ash and a certain someone still haven't shown their full power yet so I don't want to take my opponents lightly." Saying the latter part Cynthia glanced at Itsuki.

"In the semi-finals I have the weakest Pokémon." Everyone turned to Itsuki and saw him talking seriously while looking at the TV.

"In the next round, Cynthia, Ash, Gary three of them has mid 5th order Pokémon. While my strongest Pokémon is only in level 43. I would have to take full advantage of any opportunity I get." Cynthia after hearing his words couldn't stop herself from rolling her eyes.

Itsuki had two Pokémon thst could use Aura. This itself gives Itsuki a upper hand. The fight in the semi-finals will be hard for Itsuki but not impossible.

From what Cynthia has seen, Zeraora was able to keep up with an injured mid 5th order Incineroar. So it wouldn't be wrong to assume that Zeraora power after using Aura would rival even a 44th level Pokémon.
