"Visitors from the Nurse Joy Academy?" asked Alex.

"Yes. They will be arriving next week. 8 students, and 2 staff. They are coming for a tour of the Oak Corall and experience interacting with Pokemon. At least that is the officially announced reason" said Professor Oak.

"What is the real reason?" asked Alex.

"Well, two things really. The first is to confirm if Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey are not Fairy types. I know we made that abundantly clear by the means of its analysis in Project Fairy, but the Alliance still want us to conduct actual experiments. Considering that almost all light pink Pokemon like the Jigglybuff line, Clefairy line, Snubull line, and even Slyveon are Fairy types, some people automatically assume that Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey are Fairy types" said Professor Oak.

"And why is that a problem that requires you to personally experiment? I am sure that any random person can perform the tests to confirm that these three Pokemon are not Fairy types" asked Alex

"The thing is, Blissey was always considered a Normal type Pokemon with weaker offensive capabilities. Other than Hyper Beam, there is no other attack it can learn and use that would cause a lot of damage. That is why there are powerful Blissey allowed to be stationed in almost all major cities. There are many Blissey in the Heavenly stage in the Joy clan, and they even have a dozen Champion stage Blissey. Normally, this would not be a huge deal, but the Fairy type puts a new twist on things. There are several rather powerful Fairy type moves that could allow Blissey to become a threat, and the trump cards of several major big wigs are usually Dragon types. Hence the Joy clan, which was always perceived as a neutral clan with lower battle strength now is seen as a monstrous battling clan with an array of powerful 'Dragon Slaying Pokemon.' This notion is not good for either the peaceful Joy clan or the Alliance as a whole. Hence, they are sending a small group with all three evolutionary stages of Blissey, and I will officially confirm that it is not a Fairy type after testing it. There will be a few other people visiting, and they will spread the results of the tests and my confirmation to every interested party. Then, this whole thing will die down" said Professor Oak.

"I can't believe these people think that such a peace living Pokemon would be a threat" muttered Alex. He only had a positive impression of Chansey, as he remembered it healing him when he was sick, and when he had a bruise while visiting the Pokemon Center. All other people and Pokemon would also be enthusiastically greeted and then healed by Chansey whenever they visited the Pokemon Center.

He actually wanted to catch one for himself. The Blissey line was dedicated and excellent healers. They would enthusiastically care for and heal their trainer and Pokemon on a journey, and they could learn the move Gravity, which was excellent for training Novice and Veteran Pokemon. There was a gravity chamber in the laboratory which Alex frequently used, but having a Chansey or Blissey with you is like having a dedicated healer, caregiver, and a mobile gravity chamber wherever you go.

But Chansey were rare. Other than those from the Joy clan, out of the millions of trainers out there, less than a few thousand had a Chansey or Blissey.

"What do I need to do?" asked Alex.

"Nothing much. There is no need to expose the fact you are Researcher Burns. I will entertain the visiting staff and the other witnesses, and will conduct the tests. You take the 8 children visiting on the tour of the Oak Corall and experience interacting with Pokemon that was advertised as the reason for their visit" said Professor Oak.

"So you want me to entertain 8 children? That is considered nothing much?" thought Alex.

"Actually, the people visiting will be the elite of the Joy Academy. They also have to keep up appearances in front of me and the witnesses that will be here. You can rest assured that the academy will only send the best behaved and most exceptional students for this visit. They will most likely be the Nurse Joy of the big cities in the future. It is actually very advantageous to be in contact with them" said Professor Oak.

Nurse Joy wouldn't just sit behind the counter of the Pokemon Center and be on call. They would also socialise with the upper class of the city, go on home visits to heal Pokemon and people, and overall be very acquainted with anyone of consequence in the city. Most people in the city would owe favours to the local Nurse Joy, hence, it would be a huge asset to be familiar with the Nurse Joy, especially in bigger cities.
