Axel looked at its stats after a series of 'Head butt'.

Its ability 'Rock head' had massively increased to 37%. This was quite good. It was also due to the fact that it practiced physical moves most of the time and it used 'Rock head' during that time. 

Looking at Bagon's stat Axel realized how hard it was to level it up. Bagon was the hardest worker among the new Pokemon. Only Togepi could give it a challenge but its stats were still very low. 

However, if one were to compare its stats practically, it was stronger than others. This showed, how hard it was to train Bagon. 

Since it was only a month old, Axel told it to train very lightly by taking enough breaks. But Bagon would not listen to it. It wanted to grow strong as fast as it could. 

He then looked at Mankey and said, "Come here. It is now time for your bath."

After reading about Mankey in the library, he realized that Mankey may need the least amount of resources. Its body was packed with energy and it was also a hard worker. 

However, due to its ability 'Vital spirit', it could not train to its fullest potential. So, Axel came up with a new training plan where he would tell it to grind as hard as it could to the point that it could not move a muscle. Then he would prepare a bath for Mankey which would heal any torn muscles and any small injuries and let it sleep. 

He always prepared a bath for his new Pokemons as he was following MEW's book on way to power. However, he added some of medicinal herbs that would rapidly cool its body and also heal its body. There were also some herbs that would help it sleep. 

"Gary, use 'Focus energy' in the bath. Don't forget it.", said Axel.

For a Pokemon like Mankey, who had 'Vital spirit', 'Focus energy' was a like a cool water in a hot volcano. Mankey could basically not sleep due to their 'Vital spirit'. So, Axel did a lot of research on the ability 'Vital spirit' in the library and he found out some interesting things.

'Vital spirit' was called 'Vital spirit' cause Mankey had a strong spirit inside its body. The spirit or its inner energy was so huge that, it would not properly control it and it could also not sleep properly.

This energy would let it be active all the time but since Mankey was still weak, this would also not let it sleep which would be detrimental to Mankey. The inner spirit was basically like stamina but since it was inside a weak body, Mankey could not sleep.

So, moves like 'Focus energy' help Mankey to regulate this energy and control it. It would also let Mankey concentrate on a single thing which would ultimately make it comfortable to sleep.

Mankey had grown stronger over the period of time. Its move level had increased and its stats had also been upgraded. It was getting stronger day by day.

Axel wanted it to master 'Vital spirit' as fast as it could but he realized that it would take some time. Mankey had not even evolved. So, its intelligence was still very low. 

It needed to evolve into Primeape and then train on its ability to reach that level. 

"Gary, you can sleep now. But first eat your food.", said Axel with a smile. He was very happy with Mankey's development. Yes, it was not very powerful right now. It was just a common rank Pokemon but it would be very strong in the future. Axel was sure of it.

"Man. .Mankey…."

"No, you cannot train again. You have to follow my instructions. Do you remember the last time you didn't follow my instructions?", asked Axel.

"Man…"

"Good. Then go to sleep."

Mankey was not this obedient before. It didn't follow Axel's instructions and it didn't want to sleep. It never felt the need to sleep. So, when Axel told it to sleep for at least 6 hours, it secretly went out to train again. 

There it met Shedinja, Pidgeot, and Alakazam who was also training at night. So, it trained entire night and the result was very bad.

It could not move its muscles for an entire day. It was very tired but due to 'Vital spirit', it was having difficulty sleeping. It was feeling miserable.

From that day, it started to follow Axel's instructions.

All of his Pokemon had their dinner and now they were going to sleep. 2 weeks have come and gone and 2 more weeks were left before they depart to Aeus island.

Frank was doing good for himself. He and his Pokemons would still need some time to get to Axel's standard but they were improving nonetheless.

"So Frank, tell me, what do you want to become in the future?", asked Axel.

"I have never given it much thought but I love the idea of growing stronger day by day and I also want to protect my family.", said Frank.

"Oh, so you have never dreamt of anything?", asked Axel.

"Yes, I never did. From the time when I was a child, everything was given to me. My father and mother fulfilled all of my desires, so I never felt that I needed to become something.

But now, I feel that I should be responsible at least to my Pokemons. I have not set my goals yet, but as of right now, I just want to train and grow stronger. 

I might take the position of the gym leader after my father in the future but frankly, I want to go a bit more than that."

"That is a good answer. Once, one of my senior told me that we cannot progress further if we don't have a dream. I know it will take some time for you to have one, but after you do, promise yourself that you will do everything to achieve it."

"I will do that. I will not waste my time from now on."

Gyarados was finally going to rank up to king rank. Axel knew that it would take a long time to reach there but he was hopeful about it. 

Meanwhile, Venusaur had also been training hard on its moves. Axel was positive that it would also have a rank-up condition after some days. 

Now, Axel was concentrating on developing a move for Beedrill. The name of the move was 'Bug knights'.

"Beedrill just imagine that you are creating a life. The life would be an extension of yourself. You are creating that with the help of bug-type energy. Don't go fast, be as slow as you can. There is no hurry."

Axel had been telling it all the hints but Beedrill had not been able to create it. 2 weeks have come and gone and yet there was no progress.

Finally, Axel gave up on it. Not on the move but he realized that he should not hurry about it and have to move step by step.

Axel looked at its stats and realized that the move 'Bug house' was at level 35. 

"Beedrill, let's move back a little. First, let's concentrate on the move 'Bug house'. We will try to modify it and upgrade it as much as possible. Then we will also train on 'Bug life' a little bit and finally we will go back to 'Bug knights'.

Instead of getting hit by a special move and then storing 10% of the damage to the 'Bug house', Axel told it to meditate and try to store bug-type energy from the surrounding. It was not an easy thing to do as Beedrill had never done it before but this process must be completed if they wanted to create 'Bug knights.'

Beedrill was sitting on its best meditative state and it had closed its eyes. It was trying to meditate but this was proving to be very difficult. Beedrill was an active Pokemon. It had high speed and high attack power. It never had the habit of sitting down and relaxing.

So, it was taking some time but Axel knew that Beedrill could do it. It was now a king rank Pokemon and it powers were higher than before. It could manipulate infinity energy with much more ease than before. So, he knew that it could do it. It would just take some time.

Venusaur has grown very strong for a pseudo-king rank Pokemon. It had trained on its moves and also on its physical stats.

Axel wanted it to be the next Hasirama Senju and it was living up to the expectations. Its grass type moves had become deadly. Its healing moves granted it an extra life and its defense was to be praised. 

All in all, it was a powerful Pokemon. Axel wanted to see how powerful it would become when it ranks up to king rank.

That would take some months to achieve. However, Axel was not in a hurry. He was not going to use Gyarados and Venusaur in the Johto region. The thing was he cannot use it. So, they would be used much later in other regions. 

Gyarados and Venusaur would also come in handy during tide battles and other battles that Axel might face. He now had a strong team for a 15-year-old trainer.

Only a little over a week was left before their journey to Aeus Island. Axel was hoping that Acron, Mankey or Totodile would evolve by that time but he was disappointed. 

Granted that they had been training for only a month but the training was not so effective. They had just come out of their baby stage and they needed time to get used to the training schedule.

Evolving Togepi and Bagon in a month was an unrealistic dream for anyone as fairy type and dragon type took a lot of time to evolve or rank up. The dragon type took even more time than the fairy type.
