Scientific Exploration!!!

Avian and Zaron woke up early and began training once more, they planned on taking on the gym and if they won heading to the next city. Avian walked towards the exit of the pokemon center, the nurse working there came running behind him and said,

"Avian a package was delivered here for you it comes from Professor Felix, he says it's urgent".

Avian thanked the nurse and took the package back to his room, he opened it and found a box alongside a letter,

Dear Avian,

I send you this phone as you are a part of our research team, this phone will help us communicate in any area of the world. As soon as you are done reading call me.

Sincerely, Professor Felix

Avian took the phone and called the professor, he told Avian what had happened while he was gone. Avian found out that the champion had stopped the 2 pokemon from fighting and they were now separated and they had moved to different parts of the region. Avian was tasked to investigate a slight disturbance 30 minutes out of Skystead City. Avian didn't forget to mention what had happened with Serenity, the professor was shocked but assured Avian that they would get her back one way or another.

Avian decided he would travel to the disturbance, the professor had got him a motorcycle so it was easier to travel around the region, he also found out about Zaron and was impressed by what the young man could do. Avian hung up the phone and talked to Zaron about their new mission, Zaron was on board but they were both sad about the delay of the gym challenge. Avian grabbed the motorcycle which was delivered to the nearby dealership. He drove to the pokemon center and picked up Zaron, then they ventured to the location of the disturbance.

They reached the destination to see a weird green liquid around the place. They saw a house and decided to knock on it. A woman opened the door, from the facial expressions she seemed to be scared. They asked her about what had happened, and she told them a large black pokemon flew by and this green acid-type liquid fell from it. They thanked her and went to get a closer look at the acid, Avian bent down and examined the acid. He took his phone out and took some pictures of it and sent them to the professor. The professor told him that he was going to send scientists to assist them with the research. He said they would bring test tubes so he could collect the acid for further examination. An hour went by and a helicopter landed and out came 5 scientists that quickly went to work. Avian looked in the sky, to see a mountain in the distance, he saw something at the very tip of the mountain. It was something black maybe it was the pokemon responsible for the green acid. He then saw it fly super high into the sky and it was out of sight.

A man walked behind Avian, he looked at him closely and went to talk to Avian. He challenged Avian to a quick battle. Avian sent out Froakie and the man who told Avian his name was Johnathan sent out Talonflame. Jonathan made the first move in the feisty battle, he told Talonflame to use brave bird. The move did significant damage to Froakie, Avian then told Froakie to use quick attack. Jonathan told Talonflame to attack back with flame charge. The two pokemon connected and both fell back, Talonflame got up first and Jonathan told it to use brave bird once again. Froakie still recovering from the attack was stunned, Talonflame hit Froakie once again and this time it was inches from collapsing. Froakie stood there breathing intensely, it didn't want to lose and look bad in front of Avians eyes, Avian hesitated and told Froakie to use bubble. Talonflame easily dodged the bubble, Jonathan told Talonflame to end it and use brave bird for the last time. Talonflame flew up high and swooped down at Froakie. Froakie pushed itself the hardest it could, all of a sudden Froakie started glowing blue. Avian was shocked, he didn't think Froakie would evolve. Avian pulled out his phone and used the Pokedex feature, Frogadier, the Bubble Frog Pokémon, and the evolved form of Froakie. Frogadier's speed is unmatched. It can climb a tower over 2,000 feet tall in one minute. Avian was excited now, he told Frogadier to use quick attack but it looked different this time. Jonathan called out that this wasn't quick attack but a different move ariel ace. The attack hit Talonflame doing a chunk of damage. Jonathan told Talonflame to use flame charge, but since Froakie had evolved its speed had risen. Frogadier easily dodged the attack, Avian told Frogadier to wrap it up with water pulse. The stream of water hit Talonflame with supereffective damage knocking it out. Avian and Frogadier had beaten Jonathan and his Talonflame. Jonathan thanked Avian for the battle and went his way. Zaron ran up to Avian and congratulated him on the victory and the evolution. Avian and Zaron got back on the motorcycle and decided to go back to the pokemon center and rest up for their gym challenge the following day.
