Chapter 167: The Attack of the Mochi!

A massive white pirate ship approached slowly, its mast adorned with the unmistakable flag of the BIG MOM Pirates.

Charlotte Perospero leaned against the ship's railing, a pale pink Den Den Mushi—just disconnected from a call—resting in his raised hand.

His gaze fixed on the imposing figure at the forefront of the deck, the one intently monitoring the situation on Mystoria Island. Perospero spoke:

"Katakuri, we just received word that our people on Mystoria Island, Cracker and Amande, have engaged White Ghost."

The man addressed by Perospero was extremely tall, with crimson short hair, a muscular build, and long legs. A thick scarf covered his face below the nose, leaving only the upper half with its formidable, heroic expression visible, with black stitches faintly seen on his cheeks above the scarf.

"This White Ghost, huh… someone capable of battling a Marine Admiral for so long is not an easy opponent."

Even BIG MOM Charlotte Linlin was well aware of just how formidable an adversary Admiral Sengoku truly was.

News reports falsely claimed that the battle between Sengoku and White Ghost nearly destroyed half of the Sabaody Archipelago. However, the intelligence network of the Charlotte family knew better—it was all misinformation, or simply manipulation of information.

Long before the fight occurred, White Ghost had, for some unknown reason, felled a significant portion of the Yarukiman Mangrove's Red Tree. Later, it disappeared, its whereabouts unknown.

But one thing was certain: the battle between White Ghost and Buddha Sengoku lasted no less than half an hour!

To recruit White Ghost into Totto Land and make him her new husband, Charlotte Linlin dispatched some of the family's most outstanding members.

Cracker and Amande were stationed on Mystoria Island, responsible for Adrian, if he got there.

Meanwhile, Minister of Candy, Perospero, and Minister of Flour, Katakuri, kept watch on Risky Red Island.

Before the Sweet Commanders of the BIG MOM Pirates fully matured, these four were among the most formidable individuals within the Charlotte family—especially Perospero and Katakuri.

As the eldest and second eldest sons, these two were born into the Charlotte Family while BIG MOM was still a part of the Rocks Pirates.

Having witnessed the existence of true top-tier powerhouses from a young age, Perospero and Katakuri's strength was on a completely different level compared to the rest of the Charlotte Family members!

"Katakuri, don't worry too much. Cracker and Amande are among the strongest fighters in our family."

Perospero reassured his brother. As the eldest son, regardless of how he was viewed externally, he had always been the doting big brother within the family.

"Even if White Ghost proves to be a troublesome one, Cracker and Amande's abilities should be more than enough to stall until we arrive."

At that moment, Katakuri, standing on the pirate ship's deck, suddenly changed expression.

He lowered his arms, clenched his fists tightly and said gravely, "It's gone!"

Perospero's smile faded as he asked, "What's gone?"

"On Mystoria Island, I can no longer sense Cracker's aura with my Observation Haki."

Katakuri's eyes shone with a crimson glow, the sign of his Observation Haki activating.

"I can only sense Amande's aura now. She's currently locked in combat… and her aura is gradually weakening!"

"That White Ghost!" Perospero's expression changed drastically. "He dares to refuse Mom's offer?!"

"Perospero, I'm going ahead!"

Several deep purple candy platforms materialized in mid-air. Perospero lightly leapt onto them, stepping across each one in pursuit of Katakuri's rapidly vanishing figure.

The remaining BIG MOM Pirates on the ship quickly steadied the vessel, took up arms and provisions, and streamed off, following the trail left by the candy platforms towards the erupting battle.

Against Adrian's serious demeanor, Amande found herself swiftly overwhelmed in just a few breaths.

Adrian, with an indifferent expression, wielded his Shuxue, inching closer to Amande. This was the first time he had used this exquisitely crafted and almost unrealistically beautiful blade—21 Great Grade Blades (大業物, Ō Wazamono)—in combat.

But since it would undoubtedly result in grievous injury, a sense of ceremony was required.

The beheading blade, by Adrian for Charlotte Amande, was named "Shuxue" (Snow on Sleeve)!

With several imperceptible sonic booms, the blade transformed into an almost colorless flash, striking Amande from a cunning angle.

Amande pushed her Observation Haki to its limits, struggling to parry the incoming blows with her renowned sword, "Shirauo" (White Fish), held aloft in midair.

Adrian reacted swiftly. His wrist trembled slightly, causing the blade to slide smoothly along the edge of the White Fish. With another twist of his wrist, he executed a lightning-fast slash towards the abdomen.

Upward thrusts, horizontal slashes, vertical cuts—each of Adrian's strikes was ferocious and soul-snatching.

Amande parried desperately, her pale skin now flushed with a light pinkish hue, a sign her blood was unstable. Beads of sweat trickled down from beneath her wide-brimmed hat.

In just a few minutes, this small town, recently bombarded repeatedly by the Peacemaker, was once again devastated by the unrestrained clash between two sword masters of formidable skill.

At that moment, a flash of red light flickered in Adrian's fully focused eyes – his future-seeing Observation Haki had caught a glimpse of an impending scene.

"Long Neck, it seems your Charlotte Family members arrived rather quickly!"

An armed haki colored like smooth black jade flowed across the blade, with swirls reminiscent of cherry blossom petals attaching to it.

"Then I'll just have to finish you off faster!"

One Sword Style: Raging Current! {Gekiryu – 激流}

Adrian swung Shuxue, releasing a powerful sword wave capable of parting the seas. Even the dissipating edge left deep axe-like gashes on the ground.

Amande didn't dare let her guard down, gathering her strength to launch a counterattack.

"Slow Waltz!" (スローワルツ, Surō Warutsu)

The two powerful sword waves collided violently, the shockwave rampaging outwards in all directions.

Adrian charged forward, Shuxue in hand.

Adrian, once again, closed the distance. His ghostly speed left Amande, who had exhausted her Haki, unable to react.

Before the sharp trident, "Mogura (土竜)," descended, the Demon Lady suffered a direct blow, her abdomen sliced open. The oversized woven hat that covered her forehead split in two, leaving a massive scar from her left temple to her right cheek. {Official English Name: Mole}

Covered in blood, the Demon Lady's eyes glazed over, collapsing to the ground.

"White Ghost!"

In the sky, the trident 'Mogura,' accompanied by a shockwave-induced attack, hurtled toward Adrian!

And alongside it, a seemingly boundless expanse of white mochi!

The pinnacle creation of the Charlotte family, Katakuri, makes his entrance!
