Outside the city of Lobmacht, Tyr led thousands of men in battle. They had not been left to peacefully assault the city's ward for long, as the Toubian army that had ventured into Nalduri many weeks ago returned in part to engage in frequent skirmishes, preventing them from giving aid to those in the city.
Worse, a week or two after that, one of the armies Toubia had stationed on the border of Demia, one of those he had suspected would be ravaging their lands right about now, had instead followed them to Lobmacht, and now flanked Tyr's army, working with the other Toubian force to pincer them.
Their Black-Iron Ballista was destroyed, marking the loss of their greatest weapon against the city's ward, and between assaults from two armies, the Demian forces lacked any freedom to work on the ward.
