You are now a Vampire

"What a good sleep" I muttered in energy as I woke up. I have been very stressed lately and only now do I feel slightly refreshed.

'But there still many things that make me depressed even thinking about it'

I went outside and greeted my mother. She still seemed confused and stressed. I didn't mention anything about vampires as I didn't want to pressure her.

I went to a very secluded cave I found to train my body manipulation. It was dark and very spacious and sunlight rarely enters it. Only by training body manipulation to a very high extent, one can use elemental mode.

Tentacle like veins flailed around my body as I manipulated them to move according to my intentions.

I tried to send my blood through it. It was a bit difficult and finally, blood flowed smoothly through the veins. I stopped the flow of blood and tried to suck air into the veins. I was failed miserably and my body started to ache.

'I don't have any ideas for elemental modes. For now, I am only copying some of Esidisi and Wamuu's moves to train. I can utmost increase my body temperature to 50°C. Any more than that I will start to burn. But sucking in the air is still difficult'

Soon I rushed home at my fastest speed as it was afternoon and the sun hung high in the sky.

'Hiding from the sun is truly annoying'. I noticed my mother was not in the house.

'She must have gone to visit my father's tomb' She usually pesters me to come with her but after knowing my situation with the Sun she hasn't said anything.

I continued to study various books in my father's study. It mainly consisted of Astrology, architecture, history. After the information, I read at the enemy tribe leader's house I have started to investigate the Red Stone of Aja.

I studied the various famous gems that were found and didn't find any with similar characteristics. I went through many records in my tribe and didn't find any relevant information.

'After mom becomes the leader I will ask her help in searching for it' I thought as It would increase my odds of finding it.

I sensed my mom entering the house. She was coming to my room with a great resolution in her eyes as if she had made a difficult decision.

'It seems she decided' I thought as I waited anxiously for her reply. Soon she entered my room and stared at me intently.

"Well? What have you decided?" I asked.

"I will do it. I will become a vampire. I will abandon my humanity for greater power" she answered with a tone of responsibility.

"Are you sure? Did you consider it thoroughly?" I asked for final confirmation.

"Yes, I have thought it through. Even if it is not for the clan I want it for myself. I want the strength to protect you and live long enough to see you live" she answered with a smile.

I was honestly very happy that she choose this. It may even be a bit selfish but I don't care as everyone wants their mother to live a long life.

"Ok. We will start the process at night. As doing it during the day will be troublesome" she nodded and exited the house.

'Maybe she wants to enjoy the Sun one last time'

I have to prepare for converting my mother into a vampire. I went to the slave quarters and found two people to act as blood sources. It was to prevent my mom from attacking me for blood.

My inner weeb wanted to this a little dramatic as if it was an ancient ritual but I restrained myself and decided to carry it in the secluded cave. I also double-checked the mask if it worked correctly as I was a little doubtful.

It was soon night time. A full moon hung above everyone, up in the sky. I led my mother through the forest towards the cave.

"What are they for?" she asked about the two people I was carrying. It was a middle-aged man and a girl about the age of 25.

"You will know when the time comes" I gave her a vague answer. She appeared curious but ultimately didn't inquire any further. The remaining journey was pretty awkward as we both maintained our silence.

'I wonder if she will discover the flesh bud. What will she do if she regains the memory? Will she criticise me for doing something like that?'

Soon we reached the cave. I lit some torches and hung them on the cave walls as my mother couldn't see at night. I dropped the two people at a corner of the cave. The moonlight and torchlight produced a strange atmosphere.

"Are you sure? You don't have cold feet now, right?"

"Don't worry, Zee I have truly made up my mind" she answered with a smile.

"Ok, then lie on this stone slab" she soon lay on the stone slab that I prepared beforehand. I took the stone mask I created.

'Sigh, my body has become storage for stone masks' I thought in a self-deprecating manner.

She glanced sceptically at the mask and asked "Is that going to change me into a vampire?"

"Yeah. What did you expect?" she averted her eyes in embarrassment. I placed the mask on her face.

"Don't worry and calm down" I said soothingly as I drew some blood from one of the people and smeared it over the mask. It soon produced a blinding light as the tendrils grilled themselves into my mom's brain. Her heartbeat soon stopped.

After a few seconds, she suddenly woke up. Her hair had grown longer. Her facial features were further accentuated as she had an irresistible and unique charm. She also had enlarged canines that looked like tiny fangs.

"Wrrryyyy" she breathed as she looked at me. I soon threw a body at her. She caught it mid-air. Her fingers were inserted into the man as she fully suck his blood. The same fate soon befell to the other female.

After sucking some blood she finally seemed to come to her senses as she looked at the bodies for a long time, her thoughts unknown.

"Congrats mom, you are now a vampire"
