Traitors

Around the same time that an attack had happened on Rufus, there was another location that suddenly had a similar attack on it.

There was a slight difference to what had happened in other locations and that was that there was a smaller explosion.

The child had walked outside of a run down building in the slums which was being used by another criminal group.

It was being guarded by street thugs and hired muscle but they were unprepared for what came next.

The person at the door had looked towards the child with disdain in his eyes before pushing them to the ground. "Scram kid."

The child started crying and was trembling on the ground after they had been hurt but there seemed to be something more to their actions.

The people at the door were not paying that much attention to the strangeness of the child and coldly stared towards them before shouting again. "I said get lost!"

One had let out a "tsk" before stretching out their hands towards the child to pull them up and to lead them out of the sight of others.

It would be bad for their business if the child was still allowed to sit in front of their building and to draw attention to themselves.

Even if they were a criminal organisation, they had a certain image to maintain in front of their customers.

The bullying and mistreatment of a child in front of their own business was never a good image to have in front of those that were considering using their services.

His outstretched hand was not allowed to get that close before the child in front of him had suddenly exploded before his eyes.

The blood and flesh spread out to the surroundings along with the flames and the force produced from the explosion.

The outstretched hand was the first to get caught up in the blast before it had spread towards the rest of his body.

His body was flung backwards by the force produced and he was terribly burnt up with lots of damage to his body.

He was not the only person to get caught up in the blast and there were several other people.

A black clothed person stepped out in a startled manner and rushed towards the explosion then looked towards the damaged entrance to the building.

Once they had tried to move the obstructions and had overlooked the destruction caused, there had been several people that had stepped out to surround them.

The Electro flashed on their body once they realised they had been caught in a trap then targeted the person nearest to them. "Aaah!"

The Electro coated claw belonging to them had suddenly been stopped by another for a moment as the other side had held onto them with a strong grip.

The other side had used Electro to negate their own Electro so it became a contest of power between them.

Most Minks relied heavily on their fighting instincts, physical advantages, Electro and their better agility to make them better fighters so it was difficult for them to be defeated or captured by ordinary means.

The main problem that had been encountered was that they had been met with their own kind that had turned traitor.

If a strong race existed that could stand above other and was superior in many ways then it would be difficult for them to be removed from the world unless certain situations happened.

The only ways for them to truly be defeated for good was to have everyone band together against them or to have them destroy themselves.

Internal conflicts were within every race and those could be just as destructive as any outside force.

If another Mink was helping out humans then the humans would have a much easier time in dealing with the Minks.

The flexible body of the black clothed shadow guard did not give in so easily and increased their grip strength before jumping backwards a little.

The distance allowed for the two arms of both parties to be stretched out and for the shadow guard to be up in the air.

The shadow guard used the grip they had to pull and position their body enough in the air to send their feet flying towards the stomach of their opponent.

The attack had hit and injured the other side since it was done so quickly but the other side did not release their grip. "Urgh."

They raised their arms up into the air suddenly after they took the hit them leaned back a little so that the shadow guard was swung up into the air. "Aargh!"

Once their arms had stretched out enough, the shadow guard was pulled back and was slammed down towards the ground.

The shadow guard tried to use their legs to cushion their fall and catch themselves but a noise had come from the side.

A gunshot had went off nearby and a bullet pierced into the upper leg of the Mink.

The pain made the shadow guard lose their focus and then they were slammed to the ground. "Aah!"

Another Mink appeared nearby and came crushing down onto the body of the shadow guard.

They were pinned down by a heavy Mink that had used their body to keep them in place on the ground.

A collar was placed on the neck of the shadow guard who tried to struggle to get free then the assailants moved on to the building in front of them.

The shadow guard was knocked unconscious and was taken away while most others entered the building.

Inside of the building was where they found several Minks that were young but were in a weakened state after they had been taking some kind of drugs along with drinking a lot of alcohol.

They were not in any state to defend themselves and were quickly captured.

The explosion was enough to knock them out of their sleepy or delirious state a little but it was not enough for them to be able to deal with or escape from a place where they were trapped within.
