Sisters

Pixel appeared on the back of a large Wani which she subdued earlier and looked down on those standing there with cold eyes. "My grandfather has always served the duke loyally and while our family may be weaker than it used to be, it is in no position to be bullied like this."

Felice looked over in shock. "Pixel? What are you doing here? You should get away from here."

The leader of the Glutt family showed a look of interest and cruelty as he turned to Pixel. "Get away? After coming here on her own? I think not!"

Pixel observed the situation and let out a sigh. "If I stayed back then you will only continue to be bullied by these fools. Elder sister, will you trust in me?"

Felice hesitated as she went back to the memories and values she had lived by. "I.."

In a room, little Felice came happily running into the room as she held something in her hand as if keeping something precious and saving it for later.

Her mother was in the room and looked down at her. "Where did you get that from?"

Felice hesitated then answered obediently. "It is from younger sister's store. I was finally able to get one of the rare ones!"

Without waiting for Felice to finish, her mother stood up in a hurry and then took the cake from her. "How many times must I warn you!"

The next moment, the cake was thrown onto the floor and smashed beneath her mothers feet.

Her mother then pointed at Felice's nose and scolded her harshly. "Never touch anything or accept anything from your siblings! How many times have I warned you that one failure could be the end of you?!"

Felice looked confused. "But.. why..?"

Her mother looked very weak and scared as she went down to hug Felice close. "We are part of a noble family and the competition can be harsh. We do not know for sure if your sister is dangerous yet but what about her family or those around her? If they knew that you visited the store or had someone go there for you… they could have.. and that is just if she was behind it. What if it was tampered with before it reached you?!"

Felice went pale with fright as her mother went on about the potential dangers.

Some were painting Pixel and those around her as potential threats so they could not be trusted while others were mentioning how the cake could have been tampered with at any given opportunity.

While Felice was working hard to become an heir, she had yet to be properly taught and instructed about the dangers she would face.

One mistake could lead to death and she could only trust her mother along with those that worked for her mother to handle her safety and other matters.

In the present time, Pixel showing up was just like her mothers warnings as she thought to herself. 'What is she planning to appear here now? Mom said that others kindness can soon become poison to me but.. what should I do?'

The leader of the Glutt family group did not wait for Felice to respond and spoke mockingly to Pixel. "Oh.. I know who you are now. The disgrace of the Meridian family hahaha. Not only do you have commoner blood but you also failed to meet the requirements for being a feline and was born as a weak and pitiful mouse. Do you want to challenge my family? Hahaha! Even a little interference from my family can easily make you fall into despair."

He believed that Pixel was someone was an incredibly low status in the family and if she made trouble and interfered then the Glutt family could easily use it to suppress and corner her until she begged for forgiveness.

Some noble families had their least favoured children or ones with less protection which were tossed aside and left for them to be bullied by the servants, he believed that Pixel met those conditions within the Meridian family since he and his family did not have decent intel on her.

If a little pressure was applied then her situation would only worsen which would push her into the depths of despair so the leader of the Glutt family group found her amusing for trying to interfere. 'I will have fun crushing you little mouse.'

Pixel sighed. "Take a look at the difference between you and me. I have this big Wani captured and you are going around targeting others prey like a thief. Who is the pitiful one? Challenge your family? You must he joking, you are the one who keeps bothering my family so go and scram!"

She then tapped the back of the Wani and it charged past the group as she arrived next to Felice's group. "Sister, we need to finish this soon otherwise grandfather will be worried."

Pixel extended her hand which made Felice hesitate to grab onto it, Felice finally gave in and caught the hand as she was pulled up on top of the Wani. "Everyone hurry up."

Everyone was helped up one after another but the leader of the opposing group was not willing to let things go. "Me pitiful? Hahaha you just told me to scram but you are the one running away in the end."

Pixel rolled her eyes. "Indeed you are truly pitiful. So pitiful that you do not even know where you have went wrong."

Her thoughts continued with what she wished to say. 'And if you continue like this then you will be even more pitiful.'

Felice looked over the situation in confusion. "Uh, sister.. where did you get this? Did someone help you catch it?"

Pixel smirked and said proudly. "I subdued it myself. We need to hurry so tell me how many more prey your group need to catch?"

Felice hesitated. "But they.."

Pixel sighed. "Ignore them and just answer then we can end this as soon as possible."

Felice nodded. "We do not need that many more. Maybe about five?"

Pixel turned to those she was leaving behind and shouted as the Wani took them further away. 'Will he still follow? Well.. it does not matter.'
