Collecting Heroes (Part-1)

The year 1991.

It has been 20 years since Ryan or Phil arrived in the MCU. Well, unlike others who prefer their first name, Ryan was proud of his last name Phillip and wanted to carry forward their legacy. He joined MIT at age of 15 and then graduated at the age of 19 with 3 master's degrees - engineering physics, artificial intelligence and computer science.

Again one more degree than Tony Stark and two years before Tony can graduate from MIT. Even at MIT, there was always this clash of geniuses and people hailed them as the smartest brain on earth along with few others. Well, there was still someone called Bruce Banner who was graduating with more than seven PHDs in future but for now, Phil had a lead.

This year is very important for Phil. Why? Well, according to MCU, this year Howard and his wife Maria will die in a car crash thanks to Winter soldier and he was trying to change that.

"I can't let winter soldier kill the starks now. If this happens, in future there will be thousands of trouble. Civil war along with the whole Avengers breaking apart. Nope. But what can I do alone."

Phil was racking his brain to come with something. Some solution to his problems. He knew winter soldier was the attacker. But how did details regarding Howard and Maria leak in the first place? Well, there was HYDRA but it is still 1991 and they still are not that strong to interfere with whole US politics and industries.

"I need to gather some soldiers. My falcon unit is ready but I have no super strength or any other ability. I doubt my luck is as good as Tony considering I am just a side character that was not even supposed to appear in the first place. I need fighters but who and from where I can gather these people?"

"Well, I have almost a year to plan. Their car crash will happen on December,16 so I must plan this carefully."

So on January 23, Phil took over the Phillips group as the CEO and his father retired. His father Mark was always proud of his son and his mother also supported his decision. It was a great idea to start managing the company from a young and they were still alive to take care of any problems in case Phil failed in something.

There was one person who was still there in the company though and Phil was not going to let her go in any case. So his first decision was to appoint Linda as the COO of Phillips group. Phillips Group has branched into multiple industries now. They avoided weapons and anything related to the military as that was the sole bread and butter for Starks and anything related to Bio-engineering was part of the Osborn group.

Internet, gaming, movies, communications, media and personal computers were their main focus. They were like Google married with Fox corporation. Phil knew controlling the public opinion was the key in future. He cannot be led by nose by HYDRA hiding into shadows and letting the government put the fear of superheroes as uncontrollable weapons in public.

In March 1991, Ryan met another great mind of his time. Mr Hank Pym. It was a secret meeting and nobody knows what they discussed but after a few days news came out in the media that Pym group sold 80% of its shares to Ryan Phillip and it became part of Phillips group. Also, there was someone called Darren Cross who staged quite a scene when he was fired from internship position but he was quickly taken away by cops.

"Are you sure you want to do this papa?" Hope Pym asked her father.

Hope Pym daughter of Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne is 18 years old this year. Her mother was the former chairwoman of the board of Pym Technologies and she trained herself to hold that position one day. She was also trained by her father in hand to hand combat since she was 13.

"You always kept all the information regarding PYM technologies a secret and now you are giving it for almost free to this Ryan Phillips. Why?"

"Because he can bring back your mother," Hank answered with a heavy heart.

"Mom! But she died in a plane crash?" asked Hope when she felt her father had gone delusional.

"No, she didn't. She was the one who saved this country and all its people but nobody knows. I didn't want to reveal it to you but it's time you know the whole truth. Your mother sacrificed herself while preventing a Soviet missile from blowing this country into pieces and in return, I was betrayed by the very same people who sent us on that mission.

They tried to steal my life's work and my legacy," replied an emotional Hank. He was trying hard to look normal but his eyes clearly reflected the pain he felt after losing his wife.

After a few days when Hope was shocked to know the details about her mother, about -'Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division' and the secret life her parents lived. She felt everything she knew was a lie.

She decided to meet Ryan and wanted to know all details he had shared with her father. She had a ton of unanswered questions and she was going to make Ryan spill the answers before she trust him with anything.
