Exchange Farewell

Alas, the time of parting cometh. As the two little one walk toward the airport, hand in hand. The assisting gentleman awaited for the mistress command of departure, to his side, Bernadette watch the two children exchange their goodbyes. Soon, the little brunette starts to cry.

"Dianaaaaa..!" Akko sob, tears roll down like waterfall in her eyes. Her nose is running and her chubby cheeks was already red with all the messy cry.

The brunette's right hand failed the effort to wipe her wet cheek while the other is holding in Diana's hand firmly, as to not want to let it go.

"Oh, A-chan.. please don't cry." the little foreign force a smile, trying to calm the brunette down

She too did not want to part, but she's already been persistent enough to extend their vacation, even though she know from the back of her mind that Bernadette is a busy woman, she didn't want to trouble her mother any further. Being spoiled too much is wrong, and she's aware of it.

"But your leaving..!" The little brunette sob once more, this time, uncontrollably that her cry is much louder than before.

"..."

The little heiress couldn't take it anymore, having been holding back her tears for the sake of her dear friend. But this time she shows how much of a cry baby she is.

The both children are in a crying mess that they don't even care about their surrounding anymore. Even passerby found their assume silly heartwarming display a little amusing.

And everyone can tell that this two girls are certainly close to one another, and now their going to part ways for a situation they can't control.

Bernadette and Ryuko, Akko's mom, watch their dearest with a sad smile, heartbroken to see the children crying their hearts out while in each other's arm.

As their emotion died down, the brunette wipe her tears. Even with a running nose she look at her dear friend with determine in her eye.

"Diana." she called. The blond reluctantly look at her, still in tears, her watery eyes look in confusion as she saw the brunette took off her necklaces.

"A-chan?"

"Here.." Akko held out her treasure to Diana, a few second pass as the blond staring at it, still puzzled. Getting the signal, the brunette shyly look down "I was thinking that you should keep it, so you can remember me.. that way, it will be a little easy.." even though its her own selfishness speaking, she still want to say her desire.

And she knows Diana would comprehend her action.

"We won't be able to play like before, so i want a memory of you! Because your my bestfriend!"

she shook her head.

"..t-that is if your okay with it, a-and i trust Diana to take care of it!"

The heiress didn't say anything, instead she smiled warmly at her dear friend. She too, take off her necklaces and walk closer to the brunette, she place it in Akko's hand all the while holding it.

Ruby eyes meet sapphire.

"Then, let us both cherish it."

At last, brightness form in their faces.

"There is no need to worry.." Bernadette's voice come in, she already standing behind her daughter and put a reassuring hand in the blonde's shoulder. She smile gently at Akko "Matter not of how long the two of you are apart, i know you will cherish one another."

Ryuko, who's too is beside Akko, she kneel down to her daughter. Having a encouraging smile "And besides, you guys did plan to write for each other frequently, right?"

The brunette nod with a big smile, she turn to Diana "We're gonna be pen pals! And i'm going to write a bunch!"

The blond return the smile "Mn! I'm looking forward to it!"

"Just make sure it fit in the envelope, dear." Bernadette jest, the two mothers share a heartfelt giggle.

"Time to go.." The mistress announced, holding her daughter's hand, she turn to Ryuko "I thank you so much for you hospitality, Mrs. Kagari"

The Japanese woman nod politely "I should be the one thanking you.." she pat her daughter's head and smiled warmly "Never have i seen my little Akko smile this much. So please continue making her happy, Diana" Ryuko look at the little foreign.

The blonde smiled, putting both hand in her back "Yes, of course!" She beam.

"So polite!" Ryuko giggle.

A gentleman stand beside, he lightly bow at the foreign woman "M'lady, the luggage are done checking and so we are ready for departure." The butler said.

"Thank you, Thomas." She look down at the small blonde, lightly squeezing her hand. "Well? Say your final farewell to Akko, Diana" she gently said.

From her mother, she turn to face the brunette. "Goodbye, A-chan. I'll be waiting for you.." she said with a small smile.

"..Mn" Akko return it, waving her hand.

As the mother and daughter foreign turn and walk away. Akko's smile lower, her gaze follow the two, her bestfriend in particular. There's a glimpse of sadness in her eye, but there something more in that, a wave of unease felt upon her heart. She wanted to say more. But is it too late?

.. Not yet.

With fierce determination, she made up her mind.

Hesitation sway away, she start to run toward her bestfriend.

"Diana!"

The girl turn to her a little surprised, as the brunette yanked her arms around the blonde "A-cha---"

Her word are cut-short when Akko's warmth plant in her cheeks, as flush of red form alongside it.

A kiss goodbye.

"..eh?"

With a beaming smile, and a heartfelt word "I'll see you again!"

An reassuring declaration.

The blond smiled, this time, content sensation spread her heart.

Unease vanished.

She return the embrace, warm and loving.

"Yes, till we meet again!"
