Meanwhile, Fei Shu was having tea with the other consorts. Though she knew their kind gestures was all a facade to get on her good side.

She knew that the king gave her the position of Head Consort because he wanted to please her. She was really surprised when the other consorts came to greet her with Lan Lei leading them.

Fei Shu was very tense with her guards up around them. But has they ate and discussed other things. Fei Shu discovered that even though they wanted to please her and get on her good side, it was fun discussing with people of her age.

They were eating their lunch when Sun Shu Ling suddenly said "It is going to be the Queen's birthday soon." Fei Shu smiled at Shu Ling and sipped on her tea.

She placed down her teacup and looked at Shu Ling "How about we go greet her now. Hmmm"

Though they were drinking and eating with her, that did not mean they were really friends. She spoke with such haughtiness that made her sound like she felt she was above them.

Shu Ling quickly hid her displeasure with a smile. "Let us do that Your Grace(1)" Shu Long said through gritted teeth.

Fei Shu noticed it immediately, but she did not embarrass her. She instead smiled at the three of them and said "Why don't we disperse now and go and prepare our gifts or should I say pre birthday gift. Then we meet at the Queen's Chambers." Shu Ling and the other two consorts quickly nodded in affirmative.

It seemed they had overstayed their welcome. Shu Ling stood up and bowed "We will leave to prepare our gifts, Your Grace". She left with the others.

Immediately they left,Fei Shu burst into laughter. Xinjiang, She Que and Lei Ming wondered why she was laughing. But they did not ask her the reason.

After a while, they were presenting their gifts to the Queen. But despite the fact the fact that Fei Shu presented her with a gold bracelet she was still determined to put Fei Shu through a hard time.

'Does she really think that I will be that moved. Humph what a haughty fool'. She glanced at the bracelet again. She looked up at Shu Ling who brought Ten rolls of silk.

"Thank you for your gift, Consort Shu Ling." Fei Shu smirked at the way Shu Ling was smiling bashfully. "Your Majesty, I am honoured". Shu Ling replied.

" Head Consort Fei Shu, you should have paid your respect earlier." The Queen said. "Your Majesty, forgive me for my ignorance but we consorts wanted to present to you this gifts on your birthday. I am sorry."

The Queen clenched her fists not only was Fei Shu not shaking she even gave her a good answer". She waved at them and said "Dismissed". Fei Shu and the others bowed and left.
