Chapter 17

I was busy playing Mythomagic with Nico, but I did see that those 3, Percy, Thaila, and Grover, were chatting. Thaila hated the hunters and Percy while Grover loved the hunters and was friends with the two of them. Percy hated the hunters and Thaila.

I knew that dawn was coming but with the snow it was really hard to believe. It was like white paint covering the ground and grey paint in the sky.

Eventually I stopped playing with Nico and he went to go play with Grover. That left me so I decided to hop into a tree once again.

I let my back lay on the tree while I tried not to fall off. I actually did this multiple times before this little adventure. Felt like I was still chilling with Bill.

The tree was cold, it felt as if it was melting when it was touching my body. It felt comfortable. I closed my eyes.

"Thys food." A voice suddenly sounded out from under me. I looked down and saw Zoe holding out some jerky?

"Thanks I guess." I thanked Zoe and she promptly walked away. The jerky was about the size of my hand and as wide as my index and middle finger. It smelled good so I bit into it.

"mhm." It was really good. It tasted like teriyaki beef jerky. I had bought some of them before and they were really good. Sadly the gas station burned down after a gas explosion.

Which I totally wasn't apart of it. I mean a cyclops did attack me so it was self defense.

Out of no where, the sky began to light up. I was already ready for a fight, my tail, wings, and claws were drawn as I stared at the light.

A sudden burst of light appeared from the horizon.

"Don't look," Artemis advised. "Not until he parks."

"huh?" I closed my eyes. 'Who parks- Oh it's Apollo.' i came to the realization that it was Apollo since Artemis wasn't on guard nor were the others.

The heat intensified. It felt like when I used my fire abilities, I wonder if the others feel something different. I saw the bright lights even when I closed my eyes.

So when it died out, I opened my eyes. All around me were green. Green grass, the trees defrosted, it was like summer hit us out of no where. I look Infront of me and I saw a absolutely sick car!

A red convertible Maserati Spyder that was glowing? Anyways it was super cool. Wonder if I can steal one for myself later.

I saw the driver slowly got out and it was indeed Apollo. Just his teeth was blinding.

I dropped down from the tree and walked up to the others since the tree I was on wasn't exactly very close.

"Little sister!" Apollo called. I had to narrow my eyes due to his teeth reflecting the light stright into my eyes. "What's up? You never call. You never write. I was getting worried!"

Artemis sighed. "I'm fine, Apollo. And I am not your little sister."

"Hey, I was born first."

For a second I forgot that these two were twins. They were practically opposites. Apollo was beaming with joy while Artemis was cold.

"We're twins! How many millennia do we have to argue—"

"So what's up?" he interrupted. "Got the girls with you, I see. You all need some tips on archery?"

Artemis grit her teeth. "I need a favor. I have some hunting to do, alone. I need you to take my companions to Camp Half-Blood."

"Sure, sis!" Then he raised his hands in a stop everything gesture. "I feel a haiku coming

on."

The Hunters all groaned. Apparently they'd met Apollo before.

'What is a haiku?' I wondered as I watched Apollo for what he was about to do.

"Green grass breaks through snow.

Artemis pleads for my help.

I am so cool."

'The fuck?'

He stared at us like he was waiting for us to start applauding but I just stared at him with my jaw open with a blank face at the horrible things he spoke. It was like a can of spoiled tuna.

"That last line was only four syllables," Artemis said.

Apollo frowned. "Was it?"

"Yes. What about I am so big-headed?"

"No, no, that's six syllables. Hmm." He started muttering to himself.

Zoe looked at us and explained, "Lord Apollo has been going through this haiku phase ever since he visited Japan. "Tis not as bad as the time he visited Limerick. If I'd had to hear one

more poem that started with, There once was a goddess from Sparta."

"I've got it!" Apollo announced. "I am so awesome. That's five syllables!" He bowed,

looking very pleased with himself.

"And now, sis. Transportation for the Hunters, you say? Good timing. I was just about ready to roll."

"These demigods will also need a ride," Artemis said, pointing to us. "Some of Chiron's campers."

"No problem!" Apollo checked us out. "Let's see… Thalia, right? I've heard all about you."

Thalia blushed. "Hi, Lord Apollo." She sounded like a school girl who was talking to her crush. Bruh.

"And, Aha, Atem! Long time no see! Have you used the potion I gave you?" Apollo beamed at me, and I remembered the quest for the disc that was guarded by rats.

"Yeah, I still don't know how you let a bunch of rats get the music disc." I said while shrugging my shoulders.

Apollo shrugged too.

"Brother," Artemis said. "You should get going."

"Oh, right." Then he looked at Percy, and his eyes narrowed. "Percy Jackson?"

"Yeah. I mean… yes, sir."

Apollo studied Percy, but he didn't say anything, which I found a little weird.

"Well!" he said at last. "We'd better load up, huh? Ride only goes one way—west. And if you miss it, you miss it."

"Cool car," Nico said while looking at the car.

"Thanks, kid," Apollo said.

"But how will we all fit?" Nico asked after he examine the car and found that, yes, it could not hold this many people.

"Oh." Apollo seemed to notice the problem for the first time. "Well, yeah. I hate to change

out of sports-car mode, but I suppose…" He took out his car keys and beeped the security alarm button. Chirp, chirp.

The car glowed brightly, then suddenly it shifted from a car to a school bus? I found that strange but I guess it solved the problem of transportation.

Right," he said. "Everybody in."

No one else walked in, seemed that they were either in shock or for the hunters, didn't trust Apollo much. So I walked in first, Nico saw me and walked right in behind me.

I picked the very farthest seat in the back, left side. Nico tried to walk back to me but was snatched by Apollo and placed in the front row.

I closed my eyes. I guessed I don't really sleep much. Maybe an average of 3 hours a night? I feel full of energy though. Maybe I can go without sleep for a while but I need rest.

Maybe I can try to sleep a lot at once and don't sleep for a month? Or two months?

No I can't. enemies will realize that I will be immobile during that time. So it will only be for training. I go without sleep for a month but I sleep for 3 hours a day? I already do that.

But I need to make sure that I can go without sleep for longer periods of time. This will be a helpful skill in quests and battles.

once everyone boarded the bus, Apollo turned to us and grinned, jangling the car keys on his finger. "So," he said. "Who wants to drive?"

I was quite interested in how the sun bus drove so I raised my hand. he eyes looked around the whole bus.

Grover rose his hand but Apollo shook his head.

He looked at me.

"Very good but I know you have driven before, I wanna make this a learning experience," He turns to face.. Thaila? "our lovely daughter of Zeus!"

Thaila walked up, she looked very pale. Like she was afraid. 'Is she afraid of heights?' I wondered.

"C'mon," Apollo persuaded. "How old are you?"

Thalia hesitated. "I don't know."

Apollo tapped his finger to his lips. "You're fifteen, almost sixteen."

"How do you know that?" Thaila demanded.

"Hey, I'm the god of prophecy. I know stuff. You'll turn sixteen in about a week." Apollo shrugged.

"That's my birthday! December twenty-second."

"Which means you're old enough now to drive with a learner's permit!" Apollo beamed counter Thaila's nervous expression.

Thalia shifted her feet nervously. "Uh—"

"I know what you're going to say," Apollo said. "You don't deserve an honor like driving

the sun chariot."

I watched as the conversation play out as if it was in a movie. Though I did catch Zoe looking at me, and some other hunters glares too.

"That's not what I was going to say."

"Don't sweat it! Maine to Long Island is a really short trip, and don't worry about what

happened to the last kid I trained. You're Zeus's daughter. He's not going to blast you out of

the sky." He said the last part while looking at Me and Percy.

I looked outside and saw the nice winter snow act like a barrier for the spot Apollo parked the car. The summer green grass and some trees were in a circle and-

I suddenly fell forward. I look up front and see Thaila driving. "This isn't going to end well is it." I mumble to myself.

Then the bus lurched upwards. I held onto the seat so I wouldn't face plant into the-

I was suddenly jerked to the left. I hit my head onto the window of the buss hard. It didn't hurt much but it gave me a mild headache.

I looked outside and saw that we were probably airplane height. I had never flew this high up before. The bus suddenly dropped down and my head hit the roof of the bus.

The bus jerked in several directions as we were used as pinballs. I really hoped that the windows were study. It would be bad if one of us hits the window and goes flying outside the bus.

The bus suddenly jerked into a direction, and I flew towards the window head first. "CRASH!"

"FUCKING HELL!!!!" I screamed as i was now outside the bus. I saw a rope being sent towards me and I grabbed on to it with all my might.

The bus jerked in several directions as I was forced to hold on for dear life. At one point I was above the bus then I was upsides down.

We were going so fast that I had to command the winds to give me air so I can breathe.

The bus jerked around which nearly made me lose my grip. I was panicking trying to figure out what to do.

"CLIMB!" I shouted to myself as I tried to climb up the rope. I looked down to see camp half blo-

"AHHHHHHHHH!" The bus suddenly braked and I was sent flying. 'flying... I CAN FLY WAIT!' I tried to get my wings out before I-

"CRASH!"

Taisho Secret

Thaila driving is so bad that Nico could drive better than her.
