Five Union Guild members entered the Nocturnal tower for the important expedition. They were on their way to the 19th floor to defeat the gigantic monster there. In order to unlock the next floor which was the 20th floor.
Yeah, even though there are numerous strong adventurers in this city. Still, clearing the 19th floor was big trouble for them. Why? It was because they must fight a thousand monsters or a hundred thousand before they reached the 19th floor.
Well, if the guilds were lumped together, there's a good chance they'd be able to clear each floor in no time. But the problem was that all of the Guilds had their pride, and they wanted to show everyone who the strongest Guilds among them were.
It already introduced the Union Guild which was currently the number one guild in the Deranium City.
Different criteria were used to rank guilds. The first was the quest; each of the City's seven superior guilds would be assigned the same quest. The Guild's star points were awarded to the first guilds who completed the quest. The second was the dungeon's portal, which kept reappearing around the world for no apparent reason, and with which the adventurers competed to see who could clear it first. Lastly, was the Guild's battle it was the event that happened every year when each Guild would pick five members that will participate in the event.
For now... Let's focus on the five adventurers who stepped on the 5th floor.
The first adventurer was Granfel Dirk who was currently a B+ brawler and 28 years old. Brawler was the class that specialized in close combat and focus on dealing with massive damage. The second adventurer was Carmen Mordigord who was currently an A+ swordsman.
Behind them are three adventurers dressed in the Union Guild's silver robes. The third was a woman with light skin, orange-brown hair, blue eyes, slightly pointed ears, a sexy body, and a magical staff in her hand. Her name was Dianara Mock, and she was currently ranked as an A mage. Because of her rank, she was already familiar with how to cast healing spells.
The fourth adventurer had a bulky build, dark skin tone, black hair and eyes, was dressed in high-grade armor, and wielded a heavy red shield. His name was Dolph Hugh, B+ tanker.
The fifth adventurer had tanned skin, curly brown hair, gray eyes, a sexy body, and used a black reaper. Her name was Hiana Vin, and she was currently ranked as an A Slasher.
[Slasher] was the most common class on the frontlines, as they were more likely to be aggressive adventurers. They can easily cut a large monster in half with their reapers.
To begin, Dolph walked beside Granfel without raising his shield, knowing that since they were still on the 5th floor, no monster would approach them.
"What's the matter with you, Granfel? Why are you looking so irritated today?" Dolph inquired casually, but his voice was audible to the woman walking behind them.
"Don't mind him, Dolph. He's just angry because an adventurer arrives at the Nocturn tower before us, and the unknown guy is on a solo expedition, so I think Granfel felt insulted by that," Dianara said, still upset after Granfel attempted to harm the polite guards.
Granfel clicked his tongue, "Tch! You better shut your mouth, Dianara. If you want to get seen by your loved ones alive."
He was warning her and irritated by the situation. However, Dianara wasn't the type of woman that will back out after challenging by someone.
She was gritting her teeth and charged her head toward Granfel as it was the only thing she could do since Dolph was stopping her. "What would you do? Bring it on! I don't mind fighting scumbag like you!"
"What the hell did you say?!" Granfel said in annoyance.
"Hey, guys! We should not fight, we are on the same team. Also..." Dolph stopped, then took a glance at Carmen in the corner of his eyes. "We better not her get angry. Or else, all of us here would die."
The ruckus between Granfel and Dianara instantly subsided as the two of them backed off. It seemed like they acknowledged the power of their party raid leader which was Carmen.
"You're lucky she's here; if she's not, I swear your head's already on the surface," Granfel said as he turned around.
Hiana walked next to Dolph. "Don't worry about them, Dolph; they've always been like that, but they've never tried to harm each other; you'll get used to it after two or three expeditions you join us on," she said as she ran toward the gate located upstairs. "We're about to enter the monster's domain; everyone should be on guard; even though the monsters here are weaker than us, we can't afford to look down on them because of the possibility they can still kill us."
Well, aside from Dolph no one seemed to want to listen to Hiana as they were confident with their current abilities. But in Carmen's case, she wasn't listening to her because she was thinking about the D+ guy she met yesterday.
'I acknowledge his conspicuous bravery. But there are numerous monsters on those floors. He might die.'
She thought to herself that as an experienced adventurer, she was aware that a dangerous occurrence could occur in the tower. Also, the main reason she didn't attempt a solo expedition despite having the ability to do so.
Five of them made it to the flat surface in a matter of minutes. But, before they opened the gate, Hiana noticed Carmen staring off into space.
"Leader Carmen, are you good? We are about to enter on the 6th floor." Hiana approached her in a polite tone.
Carmen narrowly flinched as Hiana's soothing voice awakened her senses. "Yeah, I'm good, Hiana. Just open the door so we can start this expedition right away." She said in a cold tone.
As soon as Hiana heard the order from their party leader, she placed her palms on the cold gate and pushed with her strength.
What the hell?
What is going on here?
Supposedly, the monsters should approach us at a time when we opened up the gate.
Don't tell me, the unknown guy has already cleared this floor by himself? But according to the guards, he just left one hour before us, it's impossible.
These were the comments from the Union Guild members, who could not believe what their eyes were seeing right now. In front of them, the coast was clear and they were certain about it as the magical lights helped them to have a full glance at the 6th floor.
"That man... He's making my blood boil." Granfel said in annoyance, then instantly moved his legs just to find the adventurer that probably heading to the 7th floor.
