Just like that, Alexa and Kai managed to safely arrive on the eighth floor. It was way faster than they expected as it just took over an hour.

"We are now here, Alexa. It's too obvious that the monsters here are stronger than the monsters we faced on the bottom floor, so I hope that you are careful and cautious of your surrounding." He warned her in a serious tone as there was no room for sliver mistake since their lives were on the line.

She nodded her head with a serious expression on her face. "I will do my best to not be deadweight in this raid, Kai. Yet, I can't eliminate the fact that there's a chance I need your assistance." She responded and clenched her knife after Kai placed his hands on the gate.

"How many times do I have to remind you that you are not a deadweight? I'm not saying those words to feel that. To be exact, I'm just simply worried about you, that's why."
