When Aarv Interogates

Looking at the scene in front of him, Aarv's eyes turned cold as chilling light flashed in his eyes. He then looked beyond the corpses and found the Rajput women standing there while wearing white clothes. They all were waiting for their men to arrive and give the martyr women a proper funeral. Some were crying while others were whimpering in low voices.

Aarv soon noticed Radha who was among them and walked closer to her and asked,

"What happened…? Tell me everything honestly…."

There was a stern tone to his voice which woke Radha up from her earlier trance. She turned her head and looked toward Aarv with her reddened eyes. She did not know what to tell for a whole minute as she just looked at Aarv with tears in her eyes. But, after collecting her thoughts, She started recounting the whole incident.

From giving the women poison sacs to them tearing those sacs with their mouths to save their chastity. Aarv listened to the story silently but anyone could notice that as the story progressed, his face became colder and colder. Even Radha who was in front of him felt chills while looking at Aarv.

After listening to the whole story, Aarv looked at Radha and asked, "Do you have more of those poison sacs…?"

Although Radha did not know why Aarv wanted those things, she quickly went back and got a bag full of poison sacs. She then handed the bag to Aarv and said, "There are all the remaining ones…"

Aarv nodded at her and quickly took the poison bag and started walking in the direction of the gate where all the Rajput warriors stood. Maharawal Ratan Simha looked at him questioningly but Aarv seemed not to notice the King's gaze as he started walking toward his guards.

"Bring them here…"

When Aarv reached where his 100 guards stood, he quickly ordered his men to bring all the four prisoners that he captured forward. His guards quickly brought Alauddin Khilji along with four of his companions toward Aarv.

Aarv looked at the four of them and started walking toward the place where all the martyred women were lying while his subordinate followed behind him.

"Place them here…"

Aarv pointed at the place in front of him. His subordinates quickly followed behind him and placed all four of the prisoners in front of Aarv. They did not dare to delay as they heard the bone-chilling coldness in Aarv's voice.

All the women along with the Rajput warriors looked at Aarv and his subordinates with questioning eyes at first. But, when they saw the four persons placed in front of them, their confusion turned into hatred.

For all the Rajput warriors, their women were their pride and these four people in front of them touched and harmed their pride. If not for their king standing in front of them, they would have personally marched forward to tearing those four people to pieces.

"Nash…"

"Nash…"

"Nash…" (TL: Naash (नाश) : Destroy)

All the surrounding Rajput warriors started to shout wildly while expressing their desire to destroy the four people present in front of them. Aarv understood their meaning, as he raised his hand and told them to calm down as he approached the first prisoner he had captured.

The first prisoner was none other than the Kulguru of the royal family of Chittod, Acharya Raghav Chetan. He was the main culprit who told Alauddin Khilji about the beauty of Maharani Padmini. He was also the one who told Alauddin Khilji the safest route to the fort of Chittod.

Aarv looked at the traitor and joined his hands together while saying, "Aacharya Raghav Chetan… Namaskar…"

"Ohhh… or should I say Traitor Raghav Chetan…? The same Raghav Chetan that sworn that he will destroy Chittod because he was humiliated by the King… Humiliated because he peeped at the king while he was with the queen…"

As Aarv spoke, His voice got louder and louder making everyone around silent. All the Rajput men and women looked at the scene silently as they listened to Aarv's words carefully.

"Tell me is this what you wanted…?"

Aarv asked him as he pointed at the scene in front of him. Acharya Raghav Chetan did not looked around as he silently looked at Aarv. Acharya Raghav Chetan's this action infuriated Aarv as he grabbed Aacharya's mouth with his hands.

"LOOK AROUND… TELL ME IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED…? LOOK AROUND…"

"Wuuuu… Wuuu…."

Acharya Raghav Chetan tried to struggle out of Aarv's grip but he was unable to do so. He could only struggle as Aarv tightened his grip.

This time instructor Vijay went forward and placed his hand on Aarv's shoulder urging him to stop.

"Stop it… is this not what a ruler should do…"

Aarv turned his head and looked at Instructor Vijay who was looking at him with certain eyes. He released his grip on Acharya Raghav Chetan but while doing so, punched him in the face. This time, although Aarv did not use his full strength, It was enough for a frail man like Raghav Chetan to fall backward. He then turned toward Instructor Vijay and said,

"Today I am not acting as a ruler but as a king… and one of the responsibilities of the king is to protect his people and punish those who commit crime…"

He then turned around and ordered his guards, "Pick him up…" Instructor Vijay, standing behind him, looked at Aarv with surprised eyes as he slowly retreated back with a smile. He was just testing Aarv's character and now that he got his answer, He knew that Aarv had already stepped on the path of the ruler.

All those things were unknown to Aarv as he looked at Raghav Chetan who was looking at him fearfully and said,

"You call yourself Acharya (Teacher) right…?"

"Do you think you are worthy of that title…? A teacher should always have qualities of sacrifice as he part his knowledge to his students. They should always be forgiving. But, not only did you swore to destroy your student's life in feat of anger but also threatened the lives of 30 million people of Mevad into destruction…"

"You call yourself teacher…?"

Aarv once again punched Acharya Raghav Chetan in the face resulting in him falling a few feet away with a loud bang.

This time, however, Aarv did not order his soldiers to pick him up and turned his attention to the other person he had captured, Hafeez Khan. the same Hafeez Khan who had told the secret passageway to the Khilji Army.

Aarv looked at him and smiled beautifully. But to Hafeez Khan that smile was the smile of a devil that had just awakened.
