The Definitive Guide To Survive In A Ruined World!

NOTE: These auxiliary chapters should not be taken as the introductory chapters in the novel. Please DON'T start reading through them, as you might end up seeing some spoilers, and instead start from the Volume 1 chapters. Note that the purpose of these chapters is only to aid in the construction and overview of the world.

NOTE II: Keep in mind that the auxiliary chapters will be updated as the main story progresses. The layout and proofreading can be changed at any time to conform to proper aesthetic standards, so don't bother with a mistake or two as I'll certainly fix it at some point.

Now have a good reading time :D

(Overview of How the World Works)

STATS: Just like the Soulland game, everything in Acaris has stats. Statistics are the quality of a power, if the person has it; while the quantity of statistics is the measure of the quantity of power, example: 10 points of strenght.

For the living creatures of Acaris, in general, stats are split between general stats (those that are affected by programmed system stat boosts and stat points gained by leveling up); And those that cannot be increased through these conventional means, that is, special statistics (acquired by external means such as titles, special class, books, etc.);

The 5 main stats (strength, agility, dexterity, endurance, and magic power) grow through leveling up, training and continuous effort, and the attribution of stat points, as well as system-programmed power increases at levels 100, 200, 300 and onwards…

Special stats cannot be increased with stat points acquired through Leveling. These statistics are generally divided into two types, namely: Graham, those that are affected by the programmed increase of the system and also by titles and other external means, being easier to increase; And finally, the Freyre, which are stats that cannot be increased through conventional means, such as the system programmed increase, relying exclusively on quests, items, books and other external means.

The known statistics so far are as follows:

Strength - One of the five basic stats. It is responsible for increasing the user's physical and muscular capacities, giving him the ability to hold a car with his own hands, if he reaches the necessary amount for such thing. The starting average for level 1 players is around 6~12, varying depending on the physical size and physical type of the user in question.

Agility - One of the five basic stats. It is responsible for increasing the speed of the user as a whole. Every 10 agility points, attack speed increases slightly and the user's movement capacity is increased by 45 km/h per 1000 stat points.

Endurance - One of the five basic stats. It is responsible for firming the body's musculature, enriching and making the body's muscles more resistant, the resistance also slightly affects the user's vigor. Every 200 points the user is said to gain resistance equivalent to a stone.

Dexterity - One of the five basic stats. It is responsible for increasing people's manual skills, making them more skillful, giving them the ability to perform most actions with more skill, aptitude, agility and speed merged into one thing. Every 200 dexterity points, the user's skill and aptitude increases, the effect is usually applied to equipment handling. The starting average for a level 1 player is around 6~9 dexterity points.

Magic Power - One of the five basic stats. It is responsible for increasing the system users' ability to sense, store and handle mana. Magic power or MP is a term commonly used in RPG games, and represents the ability to use the magical force that moves the world and nature. Every 1 magic power point, the user's mana storage capacity grows by 10 max mana. Each 1 point of Spell Power equals to 10 mana. It is the hardest basic stat to raise, and the starting average is around 7~12.

RACES: Similar to regular RPG games, several different species can be chosen when creating a character, however almost all starting races are considered bad, because of the difficulty of Leveling and acquiring skills, and that's why many players chose to stick to with the Human race.

However, non-human races can evolve into a sovereign non-human species by performing occult missions and becoming more powerful than human evolutions. Currently, there is no records of the evolutions of the races of the world Acaris.

CLASSES: Class is the occupation assigned, selected or acquired by the inhabitants and players of Acaris. Each class provides skills related to its occupant's rank, while the higher the rank of the class, the more restricted and unique it becomes. The class names, eg: 'Legendary Archer, Light Swordsman, etc, define a person's growth path in Acaris.

*Note: People are not necessarily required to work in the positions imposed by their classes*

For every 100 levels acquired, an inhabitant or player gains more unique abilities and/or unique stats for the class he occupies, allowing for greater potential and assimilation with the user. The ranges of advancement levels are referred to as ascent or simply advancement, such as:

Level 100 ~ 199 is the first class advancement/first ascent;

Level 200 ~ 299 is the second class advancement/second ascent;

Level 300 ~ 399 is the third class advancement/third ascent;

Level 400 ~ 499 is the fourth class advancement/fourth ascent, and so on...

There are several known classifications for classes as well as items. And they are:

Normal-Grade Class; Rare-Grade Class; Epic-Grade Class; Legendary-Grade Class; Growth-Grade Class; Mythic-Grade Class and finally Ancestral-Grade Class.

Normal rank classes are extremely common and also the lowest rank among all existing classes. However, these classes have an enormous potential capable of matching those of the rarer classes by the time of the second ascension.

In Acaris, similar to the Soulland game, there are hidden classes that can only be acquired through specific means; These classes are classified as Rare, Epic, Unique, and the very limited and extremely rare Legendary, so far there is no record of classes of this type of mythic degree or higher; These classes have unique Aspects and Abilities that offer a certain advantage to the user over other existing classes, however, the lower ranked classes can match in growth after the third ascension.

Some hidden classes can also be of the Growth type. These classes can increase its rank if certain conditions are met, such as earning achievements or completing specific quests. They can reach the rank of Legendary or mythical, depending on the user's ability and the class itself.

The ranks of some classes are not indicated. They are labeled as Unranked or Unknown Rank/Classification; usually this is caused by a system error or the inability of the system of calculating the rank of the user class.

(General Mechanics Of The World)

☆ Users below level 10 will not experience a drop in experience, due to system intervention. But there are no exceptions for the penalty of a failed mission or a system bug.

☆ Items can have their effects enhanced up to +15. The higher the upgrade number and item rank, the less likely the upgrade will be successful, similar to numerous games that Lucas had played. If the upgrade is successful, the upgrade value will be +1; however, if it fails, it varies between -3 and -2, depending on the equipment rating;

☆ If a player ends up dying in the world of Acaris, whether on a mission or not, he will be declared as 'deleted content' by the system and will lose his life for good.

☆ Converting money from the world of Acaris is very simple, as the world economy revolves around Roseguard Mercantile Kingdom currencies;

~ 1 Platinum Coin is equivalent to 1000 Gold Coins or 10 Galleon Units.

~ 1 Galleon is equivalent to 100 Gold Coins.

~ 1 Gold Coin is equivalent to 100 Silver Coins.

~ 1 Silver Coin is equivalent to 100 Bronze Coins.

(Level up of Inhabitants and Players)

All players and inhabitants of Acaris can learn a unique spell/ability of the class/race they have been chosen, every 5 levels. Every 10 levels, players and inhabitants can choose between an additional skill or a point in the class/race talent tree when they climb to level 150. For some reason, Lucas' leveling is broken and that's why his skills are acquired at different levels from other people.

It is noteworthy that this does not prevent inhabitants and players from learning through skill books, quest rewards or other external means. The unique abilities/spells are just a way of balancing the balance of the world, so they will be acquired no matter if the user is weak or not, helping them to turn stronger.

--------------

(Class Advances and Their Bonuses)

There are several different class advancements, as well as ways to evolve the race itself. Class advancements are achieved every 100 levels, and new classes will be acquired along with a 1.2x boost to all stats for players and inhabitants of Acaris (the effect applies to all races equally). In case a person already has additional classes, the unlocked class will be acquired in another class slot (tertiary onwards).

Level 100: 1.2x increase in all main basic stats (special stats acquired through quests, books or other means are unaffected). The secondary class is unlocked, and three classes befitting the user's achievements and titles are offered to choose from the system.

Level 200: 1.6x boost to all main basic stats (at least two special stats can be chosen to receive the boost effect). Benefit of unlocking a special user-choice stats.

Level 300: Increase of 1.8 in all main basic stats (at least two special stats can be chosen to receive the effect of the increase). The tertiary class is unlocked, and three classes befitting the user titles and achievements will be offered to choose from.

Level 400: ????

Level 500: ????

Level 600: ????
