Dragged into an ever-growing war between parasites and humans, will Hikaru become the dark hero humanity needs? Or will he fulfill his dream of world domination? At the same time, the Master System and its power are in peril as a result of Hikaru's actions. A simple nobody named Elijah reincarnates with the Hero System and is sent back in time to restore order to the universe. Read between the Dark and light chapters of Parazyte, explore the Naruto and Sasuke type dynamic of the two characters, the vast world-building and in-depth character development with rich side characters (sprinkled with 2D characters for fun). Warning: Book recommended for 18+. Realistic violence and death is the theme. Hero chapters are sometimes light-hearted but often contain sad realities. The world shakes under their overwhelming power. The fate of the world depends on who becomes a God first. Readers from a parallel universe can affect the storyline with their quantum tremors.

Return of Aimi

"Aimi? Who are you?" She asked suspiciously.

"My name is Hikaru."

"Hikaru!!" She repeated the name in a shout.

"Honey, what's this about?" Daijiro asked as he walked down the stairs.

"Honey! This boy says he is Hikaru!"

"What!"

He came up beside her and stared him down angrily.

"Where is my daughter?" He demanded.

"That's what I'm here to explain. I think I might know where she is."

"Well! Spit it out young man!"

"I'm not sure actually but this lady here can shed some light."

"JUST tell us where she is already!" Chizuko shouted.

"Just wait a moment. Let us come in to talk"

"Don't be playing with us! We got no time fo-" Chizuko was interrupted as Daijiro grabbed Hikaru's collar and pulled him close to his face.

"You tell me now before I smash your pretty face in boy."

"Honey, don't hurt him or he might not tell us." Chizuko said with worry.

"I'll make sure he tells us." He said sounding assured.

The girl next to Hikaru stepped forward but Hikaru stops her with his left arm.

"Isn't this much easier if you just let us come in and talk it out?" Hikaru spoke calmly.

"If you really cared, you'd tell us right now. I'm not interested in playing games with you kids. You want to make money out of us is that it? You have no idea what's it's like to lose daughter!"

The smile on Hikaru's face faded away. Wasn't it lonelier after he killed his mother? No. He wouldn't go that far to say it was lonely, but it was more boring.

"I might have some idea." Hikaru said. For the first time, he had dropped his facade. Daijiro saw a truth in his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows. He let go of the young man and turned his back.

"Hurry up and come inside." He said as he walked into the living room.

Chizuko closed the door after everyone went in. Hikaru saw a figure waiting out the front door through the side glass.

"I'm waiting." Daijiro said with his arms crossed.

"It's better if I show you." With this Hikaru raised his arm and it started to shapeshift.

First it grew bigger and longer but instead of turning into a tentacle. It grew a head. Skin-coloured bubbles grew and popped until a face started to form. Hair grew out from the top. The neck became defined and then a small chest protruded.

Thin tendrils grew at the sides and were pumped with flesh. It looked like globs of water were being pumped into a balloon along an elastic pipe. The tendrils became arms.

Soon enough, a girl appeared before them. It was Aimi… but deformed. It looked as though she was an oil painting from a failed art project. It looked creepy.

The parents were blown out of their minds. Their eyes were so enlarged that there was more white than black. They could not even comprehend what they were seeing. Perhaps they had lost it after they had begun to look for her. They even dropped work to stay at home in case she came home and didn't find them there.

They had chosen to have one child as they both agreed that they were too busy with their jobs. Rather than have many kids but have no time with them, they believed it was better to raise one kid with an abundance of love.

"I don't know how to explain this but after confessing our love to each other. We held hands and heard a voice that sounded like god. After that we… we were stuck like this." Hikaru explained.

Neither of them knew what to say. It was unbelievable. Impossible but it was also right in front of them.

"bzxcother, Mother… Father..." Aimi spoke but her voice was incomprehensible at first. In fact, her voice carries little resemblance to Aimi.

"Aimi? Is that you?" Chizuko asked hopefully.

"Mother, it's me. I-esrieh missed you." Her voice sounded like it was thrown into an audio software and blended. Her pitch was rising and falling inconsistently.

Hikaru's gaze were moving between his right arm – which was now Aimi – and their faces.

"Please forgive me for worrying you!"

"Don't say that Aimi! You didn't worry us!" Chizuko cried out. She was still kind. She was still her daughter despite what she had become.

"Please hold me, I'm cold." Aimi said in a wistful voice.

"Yes dear!"

"Wait!" Daijiro said as he pulled his wife back.

"That's not our daughter." He said as he stared into Hikaru's eyes.

"What are you saying Daijiro! Even if she's changed, she is still our daughter!"

"Daddy… How could you say that!" Aimi said as she held her chest with her hands.

The whole time Daijiro was skeptical. He was as desperate as his wife, but he held on to his rationality. He couldn't be sure that it was his daughter and this whole time her voice was getting clearer and closer to Aimi's voice from before. It was instinct. He felt that Hikaru was manipulating them. However, what gave it away was that Hikaru had slipped. He was smiling and not the kind of smile that was happy for parents who were reuniting with their daughter. It was a devious grin.

Even if Hikaru didn't slip, he still would not have trusted him because Hikaru kept looking back and forth like a puppeteer.

"Aww~ What gave that away?" Aimi said with a wild grin.

Hikaru flung his right arm towards Daijiro and Aimi bit onto his throat. Aimi then returned to his side with a piece of Daijiro's throat. Blood gashed out. He clutched onto his throat as he made gasps. Hikaru smashed his kneecap with a kick and that bent his leg the other way.

"Finish him." He said to his subordinate.

Chizuko came back with a knife from the kitchen and charged at him.

"Your daughter tried that before."

Her eyes expanded as she heard that.

With one kick to the stomach, she hit a wall and was struggling to breathe. He made a tentacle with his right hand, replacing the mimic. He pumped muscle into his tentacle, and it got twice as thick. Chizuko was slowly getting up.

When she was halfway standing, he raised his arm and whipped her head. Chizuko's neck snapped and her neck tore half-way. It hanged backwards and stared at the ceiling until her body tipped over.
