Toad seems a lot more interested in the mirror than the powers I just listed to him. Toad nods and mumbles " I'll explore them all later, this is amazing, this is really me." he touches his face as he talks.

"Would you like to show your new self off? There are some ladies downstairs." I grin as I speak.

Toad smiles brightly and nods, "Yes, let ... sorry, I was so excited. Thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me, just being able to speak normally is amazing."

I nod and head down the stairs with him behind me.

The others look up as we descend the stairs, I smirk as I see the look of shock on people's faces, even Eric as he has never seen a mutation correction either.

I notice Beak is showing signs of agitation, this poor mutant looks like a chick that has broken out an egg, and very little of him looks human.

Jubilee finally picks her jaw up off the floor, "Oh my god, you're so hot now!"

"I have a theory about that, actually," I say as I sit back down.

"It is common for the most poisonous frogs to be the most beautiful, I think with his last mutation Toad will develop a highly poisonous ability."

Charles perks up, "Next mutation? Why would you say he would have another one."

"Certain mutants, mostly those who have 'defects' seem to have three stages of evolution, it is almost like they never had enough mutant energy when they first awakened and that was why they have 'defects'. When I was repairing both Raven and Toad I could feel they could both go further, but they needed to adapt and strengthen themselves first."

I look up at Beast, "I would guess the same is true for you and Beak. Keep in mind though that the first evolution might not make everyone look totally human, but I believe the last one would."

"Now there is something that has been annoying me I would like to resolve if that okay?" As I speak I look to Eric, "Could you get your helmet?"

(This power we are about to deal with is something never actually verified, but is taken as canon by most.)

Eric looks at me a little strangely and nods, he opens his hand and seems to be waiting for something.

I look over at Charles, "You might have noticed I am not very keen on you for what you might assume is no reason."

A medical red helmet lands in Eric's hand and he glances at me.

"Okay, I want you to focus on your feelings, about how you perceive us all in the room, then place the helmet on while you keep doing that, I need to you focus."

Eric shrugs and nods, he leans forward with his elbows on his knees and the helmet in his hands.

He seems to be doing what I asked and after about half a minute he lowers the helmet, initially, nothing happens, then Eric's head raises up fast and he glares at Charles, "How dare you!" Metal flies out from all over the house turning into sharpened blades, Scott's hand raises to his visor while Charles looks totally confused.

"Wait!" I speak out, "He does not know his doing it."

Eric looks towards me with some confusion, "How is that possible, he is influencing so many people how can he not know?"

Charles raises his voice, "Eric, what is it you noticed? Why are you accusing me of using my power on others?"

Charles looks annoyed and offended at the moment.

"As part of my power, I can tell who has what power if they are in my line of sight. I can also fully understand that power, even if they do not."

"From the moment I first saw you I knew you were passively using what I would call a 'Trust me aur'. Although you are not aware of it, you are sending out a psychic message to trust you that radiates out of you like ripples."

"Although it is not very strong, it is always there, and the longer someone spends with you, the more they are impacted by it."

I look at the Jubilee, Scott, and Beast. "And those that have been with you for years, will no longer have any defense against it."

"That's a lie, the Professor would never do something like that!" Scott, who has not taken his hand down from his visor yet shouts. I can see Beast and Jubilee are stopping themselves from saying anything.

Eric slowly allows all the metal to return to its place, "Should I pass them the helmet?"

"No, that worked because you were not always around Charles, but you were around him enough for you to be impacted though."

"Charles, I understand you are not controlling this, and it was your power that was merely fulfilling your desire to be trusted so you could help others, but that does not change the fact that you have been controlling everyone around you." I sigh and lean back in the chair.

Scott seems ready to attack me the moment he is given the sign, idiot. Beast and Jubilee seem very unsure of what to do, they trust Charles, but at the moment he is not saying anything in his own defense.

Charles seems to be focused on himself. We all seem to have agreed to be quiet until he speaks.

"I can almost feel it, there is something I am releasing that slips through my fingers when I think I have it."

Eric sighs and passes Charles his helmet, Charles nods and takes it, he seems frustrated and embarrassed.

"I think I am going to have to spend some time alone to allow me to gain total control of my powers."

"Well, I have a suggestion for that, after we have helped everyone I will be doing something to bring some old friends back. Then we can talk about it."

Now that I have Charles distracted I can get away with more.

Rouge seems relieved, I think she was worried about all the things going on we would put helping them aside for later.

I allow my eyes to glance over everyone, and from their perspective, I seem to stop and look at nothing, then smile and move on. "So I think one of the first we should help is you Beak, oh in case you are wondering why I am moving people to another room. I am concerned that evolution might cause something that causes damage to their clothes."

"In fact, this might be the case." I chuckle as I walk up the stairs with him behind me.

Turns out I was right, Beak became mostly human, he can now control having his talon on his hands and feet out, and his strength and durability have vastly increased, where he previously had tuffs of fluff under his arms he now has feathers like proper wings that can fold away, but they still stay there. His head has become human, and while not as handsome as Toad he has an average look to him. With this, his height increased a lot and he is almost 6ft now, and therefore ended up topless, much to Jubilees delight.

We head downstairs again and even though Charles has his own issues now, I can see not only his pleasure for Beak but the hope for all mutants.

I know it is cruel but I want to test her a bit, "So Charles, who else did you bring to get help?"

Rouge almost jumps forward as she raises her hand like she is Hermione Granger who has the answer.

I chuckle and once again look towards the open space, "Are you okay letting the lady go first since your problem is a lot more severe than hers."

The others turn their heads and focus on the area I am looking at, I can see Beast sniffing the air, "Forget it guys, among you all he he is the oldest X-man, who has helped you the most, and never expected to be thanked or even remembered,"

Is it better If I do the powers that way? Just worry people might think I am using plothole powers later if I do not mention the details of them all.
